Embossing is a unique way to add a touch of class to your business cards.
Adds glamour and prestige for all kinds of businesses including architects, designers, craftspeople, restaurants, law firms, finance companies and much more.
Embossing works by pressing into the reverse side of the card to create a raised 3D surface, which adds life and texture to your print job.
In the past embossing was prohibitively expensive and was typically kept only for those special high-end print jobs. Now with changes to technology and production processes, embossing is now well within reach of your budget.
The embossing powder mix-ins are more obvious after baking than some of the other effects I tried.
I was very happy with the green one, and I liked the yellow pretty well too. Wasn't crazy about the non-translucent clay: I prefer the depth of the baked translucents.
The ones on the right found the "hot spot" in my oven. I think they're still kinda pretty -- hubby just thinks they look like chocolate-covered raisins! :-)

Embossing
Embossing involves raising areas of a card surface above the level of the rest. The diagram below shows a coat of arms that has been embossed on bizcard. The images stands out from the card as it has been produced by a stamp which presses the card to the correct shape.
Made this card for watercolor class. Another card and more details on my blog - createdbybjk.blogspot.com
close-up of a dried textile that has become like bas-relief, looks embossed. this is not the final colours, it would change to more cleaner and brighter ones after washing in some natural solvent.

March technique for NZ forum - Paint and an embossing folder. You add paint to the inside of the folder and then put some watercolour paper in and press it down...Like stamping with the folder. It was something a little different - it comes out splotchy. I sponged some distress ink on the piece and then stamped the HA stamp on the middle (can't find it anymore on the site).
