Dear Elsa,
My battalion has been fighting in the Ardennes for weeks now attached to 1st SS Panzer Division's initial strike force under Joachim Peiper. These men are fools thinking we can still win the war. The Allies are falling back but the question remains for how long? Once they regroup and begin to fight back, this operation will have been a complete failure only wasting more men and resources we cannot afford to lose.
I can tell you by spring of next year, Germany will have fallen.
This will be the last snow of the Reich....

Elsa, la folle ! Avec le beau temps il y a plein de monde en promenade, du coup la mienne ce matin a été infernale. Elle se jette sur tout ce qui bouge, je pense néanmoins que c'est juste de l'excitation et pas de l'agressivité (comme Lewis) mais je ne prends aucun risque et elle reste en laisse, ce qui la frustre à chaque rencontre. Et croyez-moi elle a la force d'un molosse.
Elsa, the crazy girl! With the good weather there are plenty of people walking, which means that my walk this morning was infernal. She throws herself on everything that moves, I think nevertheless that it's just excitement and not aggressiveness (like Lewis) but I do not take any risk and she remains on a leash, which frustrates her even more at every meeting . And believe me she has the strength of a mastiff.
Epcot is getting ready for the 2016 Flower and Garden Festival. This year Elsa and Anna can be found in the Norway Pavilion. Looking good Elsa!

Ca c'était Elsa lorsqu'il faisait mauvais. Elsa, en plus des 2 heures minimum de promenade par jour, aime passer un maximum de temps dehors. Pour elle l'hiver est une saison difficile. Là il y a du soleil depuis deux jours et déjà je ne la vois plus, elle passe tout son temps au jardin

Those who think females are sweet and calm don't know Elsa. She is a real bully to the point that this morning she hurt herself while playing and ended up on 3 legs. Fortunately nothing serious, she quickly regained her ardor.

Demandez au pauvre hérisson qui s'est aventuré hier sur ma pelouse s'il est du même avis. Lewis lui aboyait dessus mais n'osait pas le mordre (contrairement au bébé qu'il a tué dernièrement), mais Elsa l'a lancé dans les airs. J'ai réussi à enfermer mes monstres et j'ai été déposer le hérisson dans un champ plus loin (une fois de plus en pyjama !) ; ce matin il était parti, ouf. Espérons qu'il n'aura pas la stupide idée de revenir, ce qui pourrait arriver si elle a d'autres bébés dans un nid dans la haie.

Ask the poor hedgehog who ventured on my lawn yesterday if she agrees. Lewis barked at her but didn't dare bite her (unlike the baby he killed recently), but Elsa threw her into the air. I managed to lock up my monsters and I dropped the hedgehog in a field further away (once again in pajamas!); this morning she was gone, phew. Hopefully she won't have the stupid idea of coming back, what might happen if there are other babies in a nest in the hedge.

Voir Elsa creuser me donne toujours un pincement au coeur, vu qu'il n'y a plus Lewis à côté pour faire pareil. Aujourd'hui nous aurions d'ailleurs dû fêter ses 10 ans à la maison. La vie est cruelle parfois...
Watching Elsa dig always hurts my heart, since Lewis isn't around anymore to do the same. Today, in fact, was supposed to be his 10th gotcha day. Life can be cruel....

Ah misère, urgence vétérinaire ce matin avec Elsa (heureusement que j'ai un chef compréhensif). Depuis hier elle tousse très fort par moments. Hier j'ai pensé qu'elle avait quelque chose de coincé dans la trachée, mais la radiographie et l'examen ont confirmé qu'elle a une trachéite (certainement la conséquence de notre promenade dans la tempête d'il y a quelques jours, voila ce qu'il arrive quand on vient d'une ile tropicale et qu'on vit en Belgique). La voici donc sous antibiotiques et anti-inflammatoire pour plusieurs jours. Sortie autorisée s'il ne fait pas trop mauvais et avec un manteau. Espérons qu'elle ne contaminera pas Rambo (qui heureusement est sous antibiotiques à vie).
Si je résume : Rambo a 5 médicaments à prendre, dont 3 deux fois par jour, Elsa a 2 médicaments à prendre pendant une dizaine de jours et Pistache en a aussi 3 à prendre.... c'est pire qu'une infirmerie ici !
Oh dear, veterinary emergency this morning with Elsa (luckily I have an understanding boss). Since yesterday she has been coughing very hard at times. Yesterday I thought she had something stuck in the throat, but the X-ray and examination confirmed that she has tracheitis (certainly the consequence of our walk in the storm a few days ago; this is what happens when you come from a tropical island and live in Belgium). So now she is on antibiotics and anti-inflammatory for several days. Walks allowed if the weather is not too bad and with a coat. Hopefully it won't contaminate Rambo (who fortunately is on lifelong antibiotics).
If I sum up: Rambo has 5 different drugs to take, 3 of them twice a day, Elsa has 2 drugs to take, 1 of them twice a day for ten days and Pistache my cat also has 3 to take .... it's worse than an infirmary here !
