Ce matin promenade de 1h40 et encore 1/2 heure à jouer au bâton le long du lac de la Vierre (Lewis lui creusait pendant ce temps).
Et devinez quoi, malheureusement pas de photos.... je me suis retrouvée nez à nez avec un ..... mouflon. En rentrant j'ai "googlé" mouflon Belgique et j'ai découvert qu'il y en a à la Semois, je ne suis donc pas tout à fait folle encore. Les mouflons ne sont pas des animaux autochtones, ils ont été importés dans les années 50 dans la vallée de la Semois apparemment.
This morning walk of 1h40 and another half an hour of playing with sticks along the lake of Vierre (while Lewis was digging).
And guess what, unfortunately no photos .... I found myself face to face with a ..... mouflon. When I came home, googled "mouflon Belgium" and I discovered that there are some in the Semois valley, so I'm not quite crazy yet. Mouflons are not native animals, they were imported in the 1950s in the Semois valley apparently, I didn't know.

She still suffers of a keratitis, and I'll take her to the vet again.

C'était il y a une semaine. On se serait presque cru en été. Inutile de dire qu'aujourd"hui il n'y a pas de baignade. La promenade de ce matin s'est faite par -2°C et des averses de neige.
This was a week ago when it almost felt like summer. Needless to say, today there is no swimming. This morning's walk was in -2°C and snow showers.

It appears that the Scandinavian Snow Princess has spread her magic across a large portion of the United States in the past week.
After a huge snowfall last week, this week we here in Wisconsin are struggling to make it above zero, with dangerously cold windchills throughout the day and night.

Anna and Elsa were born on December 8, 2019 at the Zoo am Meer in Bremerhaven. Mother Valeska takes care and plays with the little ice princesses. The twins' father is the legendary polar bear Lloyd, who is naturally kept separate from the twins.

Anna und Elsa wurden am 8. Dezember 2019 geboren im Zoo am Meer in Bremerhaven. Mutter Valeska kümmert sich und spielt mit den kleinen Eisköniginnen. Vater der Zwillinge ist der fast schon legendäre Eisbär Lloyd der nartürlich getrennt von den Zwilligen gehalten wird.
Cette photo me fait rire, on dirait que Lewis explique quelque chose à Elsa ou peut-être qu'il la consulte. Je pense qu'il lui dit que je vais être en congés pour 2 semaines (et 2 jours), hourra.
This photo makes me smile. Lewis seems to explain something to Elsa, or maybe he is consulting her on something. Perhaps he is telling her that I will be on leave for 2 weeks (and 2 days), hooray !

Comme il faisait beau hier, et que la pelouse était tondue et sèche, j'ai sorti les balles. Mais bon ce n'est pas très marrant, il faut toujours surveiller que chacune ait la sienne, car ni Lewis ni Elsa ne partagent. En plus l'intérêt premier des jouets pour eux est de les détruire, chose impossible avec cette balle, donc pas très intéressante.
As the weather was nice yesterday, and the lawn was mowed and dry, I took out the balls. But it's not very funny, I have to be sure that everyone has his own, because neither Lewis nor Elsa share. In addition the primary interest of the toys for them is to destroy them, but this ball is very strong so not very interesting.
M.V. Elsa is a supply ship (well, in fact she collects the toilet tanks of the excursion boats) for the Stern & Kreis line who run most of the excursion boats in Berlin. She looks like a really old lady...

Je suppose qu'Elsa préfère poser les fesses dans les pissenlits plutôt que la neige. Lewis quant à lui aurait bien mieux à faire
I guess Elsa would rather sit in dandelions than snow. As for Lewis he would have much better things to do

Sur un petit chemin le long de la Semois. Elle n'est pas en laisse pour une fois car ce chemin est vraiment difficile par places, il faut escalader des rochers et avec deux chiens en laisse ce n'est vraiment pas chose aisée. Par contre il n'y a aucun risque de tomber sur des cyclistes (la principale raison de la laisse, du moins pour Elsa). Elle m'a tout de même fait peur en partant comme une fusée pour poursuivre ce qui s'est avéré être un écureuil. Heureusement les écureuils restent rarement au sol et grimpent aux arbres,
On a small path along the Semois river. She is not on a lead for once because this path is really difficult in places, you have to climb rocks and with two dogs on a lead it is really not easy. On the other hand, there is no risk of running into cyclists (the main reason for the lead, at least for Elsa). She scared me though as she took off like a rocket to chase what turned out to be a squirrel. Fortunately squirrels rarely stay on the ground and climb trees, phew
