Here's the finished, working ToyBot.

ToyBot is made from a cheap RC toy car. I took out the radio electronics and put in an Arduino microcontroller and an Adafruit Motor Shield motor controller and some sensors.
ToyBot drives around the floor looking for light (or for shade, if it's too hot). When it finds a good spot it stops and goes to sleep. It wakes up when the light or temperature changes, and resumes driving.

"Nine-O-Nine" was once Yucca Lady and was involved in nuclear tests at the Nevada Test Site during the 1950's. It was restored after a 13 year "cool down" in the desert and used by the Forestry Commission as a fire-fighting aircraft. It was then bought by the Collings Foundation and rebadged as "Nine-O-Nine".
This is my old Bandai Electronics "Escape from the Devil's Doom" solar powered handheld game. Closed, it's about the size of the palm of my hand. As you can see in the pictures, it still works.
This picture shows the Hell level where you have to climb up a rope to escape hell, while dodging the Devil below you, a bat next to the rope and some unnamed demon on that upper section.

it's from 1981 or so. Maybe '82. That's probably about when I bought mine. I also have a similar Bandai game somewhere around here called "Invaders of the Mummy's Tomb" as seen on this page:

Finally, a solution for getting HD video into my Mac. The Hauppauge doesn't come with Mac software, but EyeTV makes software that works fine with it, and there is another program called HDPVRCapture that is made by one of the members of the Hauppauge team that made the HD PVR.
I don't play games, but this is one solution to import your HD gameplay into your Mac or PC. I use it to import video from my Tivo that the cable company marks as "Copy Never" or "Copy Once". The Tivo will not transfer these recordings to your PC unless you do a prom mod, which I don't want to do while my Tivo is still under warranty. I can report that this works *flawlessly*. I imported two programs tonight and it worked like a charm. The Hauppauge does hardware based H.264 encoding, which means that you don't have to do any conversion to upload to YouTube or other places. This is in contrast to using Tivo Transfer, which transfers recordings in the native Tivo format and then you have to convert. Even if you use TivoDecode Manager or iTivo, you still have to do the conversions, and transferring the recordings from your Tivo, even using the wireless adapter is SLOW. The Hauppauge is much faster, basically recording to your computer in real time. So, while you're watching your show, it's recording into your computer in real time. It is then in .mp4 format and ready to go, to be imported into iMovie or whatever video tools you use to convert to divx (.avi) or whatever format you want. I don't mind the MP4 format, so for me it's ready to go once it's done recording, which is SWEET.
If you're looking for a way to get HD recordings into your computer, or gameplay from your XBox, or Playstation 3, this is the answer. In fact, it's pretty much the only "off the shelf" answer out there, for HD video.
