This is what I plan to build in order to house all the electronics. There are three temperature controllers, an LCD, and a keypad for input. I plan on customizing the buttons to be more useful like arrows instead of numbers. There will be a high current relay inside which will toggle off and cut power to the whole system when temperatures exceed operational parameters. This way I am less likely to burn down my house. :)
We started our first lab experiment today in our Basic Electronics. We didn't even know if we were doing it right. Haha. When our professor checked our work, we got correct values but we just listed the ranges in a wrong way. But it's alright, at least we know that we did the procedures right.
4-H Clover College is a four-day series of hands-on workshops for youth presented by Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County. Emphasis is on science, agricultural literacy, healthy living, career development and citizenship/leadership. Many of the projects made during the sessions are eligible to be exhibited at the Lancaster County Super Fair in July.
2022 Clover College featured 54 workshops with a total 926 session registrations. New workshops this year included: “Slime, Jelly Worms & Twizzlers,” “TEC Box - Tinker, Explore, Create,” “Pollinator Party,” “Folk Art Watercolor Art,” “Focus on Photography,” “Hydro-Dip Painting” and “A-maize-ing Corn.”

My 14 yr old son loves to experiment with electronics.
He created this "School-o-meter" to show whether he has a delay /cancellation due to snow.
The School-o-meter" communicates with the school's website and when a delay or cancellation is posted, the paperclip pointer moves to the 1hr delay, 2hr delay, or no school position.
Now, he doesn't have to get out of bed to find out if school is canceled!

This is a highly delicate operation. For the initial drilling, use a bit you don't care much for, and absolutely do not use one with a pilot tip. The plastic is about 1/8" thick, and it transitions to either space or to another type of plastic which is filled into the screw's recesses.
Removal of the inner plug can be easily done with a "tiny" size electronics flathead. I honed mine to be a very small chisel/knife, and that worked exceptionally well. With that approach, I found I could "pop" out the inner plastic filling with one motion.
If you miss the mark on the screw and accidentally drill too far, just keep going until the entire head of the screw has been drilled out.
