Samsung Electronics is going to be a 3% owner of Sharp. This will be carried out through the issuing of about 35.8 million new shares to Samsung Electronics Japan. In return, Sharp will receive a capital investment of about 10.4 billion yen about US$111 million. more detail: tinyurl.com/cgneww6

This was my second project for my Intro. to Digital Systems. It doesn't really do much but I added a little display to my project, it was just my little touch. For the most part everyone else just displayed the state using two LEDs in binary. I found these cool little flat LEDs on a Yellow Tale Wine magazine ad so I adhered them behind each of the state representations. So the current state is illuminated in the diagram when the device is in that state.

A high school student makes the final adjustments to his component during the Electronics Technology competition at Skills USA April 22, 2017. Skills USA helps students excel by providing educational programs, events and competitions that support career and technical education in the nation’s classrooms. The Oregon Army National Guard has hosted the event at Camp Withycombe, Clackamas, Ore. for the past three years (U.S. Army Photo by Staff Sgt. Amy Elker, 115th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment).

I managed a stall showing off the Raspberry Pi, Arduino and Shrimping kits to the teachers, students and general public.

Since I work for the organization that publishes the Firewire standard, I had to take that one

This is a highly delicate operation. For the initial drilling, use a bit you don't care much for, and absolutely do not use one with a pilot tip. The plastic is about 1/8" thick, and it transitions to either space or to another type of plastic which is filled into the screw's recesses.

Removal of the inner plug can be easily done with a "tiny" size electronics flathead. I honed mine to be a very small chisel/knife, and that worked exceptionally well. With that approach, I found I could "pop" out the inner plastic filling with one motion.

If you miss the mark on the screw and accidentally drill too far, just keep going until the entire head of the screw has been drilled out.
