This position would be especially logical if one believed that the fluids themselves were being recycled to nourish body tissues. The future has always been surprising. The body is loaded with 100% optimism. It’s just like you don’t have any timeTaoist alchemy and Kundalini yoga, in their respective ways, are religious traditions based on an imperative of rational, yet creative, experimentation with the relationship of the internal body to objects in the outside world, and the relationship of human physical energy with the abstracted realms of religious symbolism and ontological beliefs. Both systems present a picture which is not entirely comprehensive by the methods and assumptions of modern science. Yet these types of traditions may have something useful to teach us, if we can analyze their beliefs and practices within the historical and cultural context in an effort to understand them as they were, and as they are, within their individual cultural framework. Scientific methods such as neurobiology can give us some insight into the basic underlying causes of human experience, yet will never be able to fully explain the phenomenological idiosyncrasies of religious ritual. With this in mind, we can apply the knowledge of modern science to the study of ancient religious in a responsible and realistic way. Taoist and Tantric sexual practices conserve and utilize the precious energy within the genital fluids. The vital forces energies that sustain life are ojas and prana. One particular type of prana is kundalini or shakti. The Taoist equivalent is ching. By murmuring this energy, life is enriched and preserved. By squandering it, health suffers and death results, Yogys believe kundalini energy is coiled up like a serpent at the base of the spine to the pineal gland in the brain, and enlightenment is attained. The kundalini energy flows through the chakras, energy centers in your subtle body related to the endocrine glands. The endocrine glands are fed by your body’s central heating system, the sexual center. If that center is weak, you entire system is weak. If that center is functioning optimally, the body can survive indefinitely. Taoist and Tantric techniques strengthen the sexual chakra. Their methods conserve its precious fluids and also pump these nourishing fluids back into the body, directing them to the endocrine glands. This technique stimulates the production of ojas and soma. The only caution about Taoist and Tantric sexual practices is the following: because of the tradition of patriarchal oppression, many of theses practices are designed solely for the male to attain immortality, often at the expense of young, ignorant, inexperienced girls, whose vitality {shakti } is drained from their bodies. The male is cautioned to never let semen leave his body, to practice coitus reservatus, stopping short of ejaculation. Yet he is advised to bring his partner to orgasm repeatedly. With his sperm held in check and his vital energy pumping back into his system continually, he invigorates and rejuvenates his body. Also pumping the energy and fluids of the female into his body at the time of her climax, he obtains her vitality as well. Practitioners are advised to engage in this female-draining activity a dozen or more times a day with several 14-to 19 year old virgins. Innocent females are victims of this crime against their health, driving them to early grave.

On other hand, when both partners ate fully knowledgeable and experienced in Taoist or Tantric sexual practices, a mutually beneficial, enriching, elevating relationship can growth is only possible with mutual respect, love, honesty, commitment, and trust. When partners recognize and worship each other as divines beings, there can be an exchange of divine energy in both body and Spirit. How does this move in the body? If we cannot see it, does it really exist? Science is only just getting a few tests going that prove energy is in the body and around it. Is it real what the Ancient wisdoms teach us? Can it guide us to oneness and conscious awakening?

It has been a long road for those in the energy field of health getting the message across to the general population that energy is everywhere, particularly in the body. With proof, barriers seem a lot easier to free up. Oriental medicine and Ayurvedic medicine are the clearest and longest standing observational sciences that describe and fully believe that energy exists as long as 5000 years ago. Both have movement medicine in the forms of Yoga and Qigong.

As I already discussed in the previous article Bring the energy home, there is a cycle called the Microcosmic cycle which when experienced connects the front and back energy meridians. Also called the Governing and Conception channels, in Oriental medicine a further 12 major channels exist that run up and down the body through the limbs, arms and legs (6 Yin and 6 Yang). These energies connect to the sun (yang) and moon (yin) influences. Predominantly yang energy in the morning and more yin energies in the afternoon, changing again after midnight. Then more yang energies developing until we awake and the body starts to function optimally again in the awakened state. The logograph 氣 is read with two Chinese pronunciations, the usual qì 氣 "air; vital energy" and the rare archaic xì 氣 "to present food" (later disambiguated with 餼). Pronunciations of 氣 in modern varieties of Chinese with standardized IPA equivalents include: Standard Chinese qì /t͡ɕʰi⁵¹/, Wu Chinese qi /t͡ɕʰi³⁴/, Southern Min khì /kʰi²¹/, Eastern Min ké /kʰɛi²¹³/, Standard Cantonese hei3 /hei̯³³/, and Hakka Chinese hi /hi⁵⁵/. Pronunciations of 氣 in Sino-Xenic borrowings include: Japanese ki, Korean gi, and Vietnamese khi. Reconstructions of the Middle Chinese pronunciation of 氣 standardized to IPA transcription include: /kʰe̯iH/ (Bernard Karlgren), /kʰĭəiH/ (Wang Li), /kʰiəiH/ (Li Rong), /kʰɨjH/ (Edwin Pulleyblank), and /kʰɨiH/ (Zhengzhang Shangfang). Reconstructions of the Old Chinese pronunciation of 氣 standardized to IPA transcription include: /*kʰɯds/ (Zhengzhang Shangfang) and /*C.qʰəp-s/ (William H. Baxter and Laurent Sagart). The etymology of qì interconnects with Kharia kʰis "anger", Sora kissa "move with great effort", Khmer kʰɛs "strive after; endeavor", and Gyalrongic kʰɐs "anger".The earliest texts that speak of qi give some indications of how the concept developed. In the Analects of Confucius qi could mean "breath". Combining it with the Chinese word for blood (making 血氣, xue–qi, blood and breath), the concept could be used to account for motivational characteristics:

The [morally] noble man guards himself against 3 things. When he is young, his xue–qi has not yet stabilized, so he guards himself against sexual passion. When he reaches his prime, his xue–qi is not easily subdued, so he guards himself against combativeness. When he reaches old age, his xue–qi is already depleted, so he guards himself against acquisitiveness.— Confucius, Analects, 16:7

The philosopher Mozi used the word qi to refer to noxious vapors that would in eventually arise from a corpse were it not buried at a sufficient depth. He reported that early civilized humans learned how to live in houses to protect their qi from the moisture that troubled them when they lived in caves. He also associated maintaining one's qi with providing oneself with adequate nutrition. In regard to another kind of qi, he recorded how some people performed a kind of prognostication by observing qi (clouds) in the sky. Mencius described a kind of qi that might be characterized as an individual's vital energies. This qi was necessary to activity and it could be controlled by a well-integrated willpower.page needed] When properly nurtured, this qi was said to be capable of extending beyond the human body to reach throughout the universe. It could also be augmented by means of careful exercise of one's moral capacities.[14] On the other hand, the qi of an individual could be degraded by adverse external forces that succeed in operating on that individual. Living things were not the only things believed to have qi. Zhuangzi indicated that wind is the qi of the Earth. Moreover, cosmic yin and yang "are the greatest of qi".He described qi as "issuing forth" and creating profound effects.[15] He also said "Human beings are born [because of] the accumulation of qi. When it accumulates there is life. When it dissipates there is death... There is one qi that connects and pervades everything in the world." Another passage traces life to intercourse between Heaven and Earth: "The highest Yin is the most restrained. The highest Yang is the most exuberant. The restrained comes forth from Heaven. The exuberant issues forth from Earth. The two intertwine and penetrate forming a harmony, and [as a result] things are born." The Guanzi essay Neiye (Inward Training) is the oldest received writing on the subject of the cultivation of vapor [qi] and meditation techniques. The essay was probably composed at the Jixia Academy in Qi in the late fourth century B.C. Xun Zi, another Confucian scholar of the Jixia Academy, followed in later years. At 9:69/127, Xun Zi says, "Fire and water have qi but do not have life. Grasses and trees have life but do not have perceptivity. Fowl and beasts have perceptivity but do not have yi (sense of right and wrong, duty, justice). Men have qi, life, perceptivity, and yi." Chinese people at such an early time had no concept of radiant energy, but they were aware that one can be heated by a campfire from a distance away from the fire. They accounted for this phenomenon by claiming "qi" radiated from fire. At 18:62/122, he also uses "qi" to refer to the vital forces of the body that decline with advanced age. Among the animals, the gibbon and the crane were considered experts at inhaling the qi. The Confucian scholar Dong Zhongshu (ca. 150 BC) wrote in Luxuriant Dew of the Spring and Autumn Annals:[17] "The gibbon resembles a macaque, but he is larger, and his color is black. His forearms being long, he lives eight hundred years, because he is expert in controlling his breathing." ("猿似猴。大而黑。長前臂。所以壽八百。好引氣也。") Later, the syncretic text assembled under the direction of Liu An, the Huai Nan Zi, or "Masters of Huainan", has a passage that presages most of what is given greater detail by the Neo-Confucians: Heaven (seen here as the ultimate source of all being) falls (duo 墮, i.e., descends into proto-immanence) as the formless. Fleeting, fluttering, penetrating, amorphous it is, and so it is called the Supreme Luminary. The dao begins in the Void Brightening. The Void Brightening produces the universe (yu–zhou). The universe produces qi. Qi has bounds. The clear, yang [qi] was ethereal and so formed heaven. The heavy, turbid [qi] was congealed and impeded and so formed earth. The conjunction of the clear, yang [qi] was fluid and easy. The conjunction of the heavy, turbid [qi] was strained and difficult. So heaven was formed first and earth was made fast later. The pervading essence (xi–jing) of heaven and earth becomes yin and yang. The concentrated (zhuan) essences of yin and yang become the four seasons. The dispersed (san) essences of the four seasons become the myriad creatures. The hot qi of yang in accumulating produces fire. The essence (jing) of the fire-qi becomes the sun. The cold qi of yin in accumulating produces water. The essence of the water-qi becomes the moon. The essences produced by coitus (yin) of the sun and moon become the stars and celestial markpoints (chen, planets).— Huai-nan-zi, 3:1a/19 Characters In Yoga they talk of Ida and Pingala channels and a central channel called Sushumna with very many Nadis connecting our energy back to our Chakras. This Kundalini shakti energy moving systematically when ready to the top most Chakra Sahasara and then connects to the Supreme shiva and universe.

This energy is also affected by our emotions, the food we eat, and how we move this energy i.e. with Qigong and Yoga and how well we relax. Learning these skills help develop and refine this energy and maintain a storage where we can then start to develop longevity and preserve our inherited energy from our family. We are also affected energetically by our environment, particularly magnetic waves, microwaves sonic waves, radio waves, TV signals, mobile phones and so on. The long term effect has not been fully understood, our body’s energy is at the mercy of these frequencies unless we learn energy techniques to take control of these movements and redirect the flow. Managing our bodies and its needs sometimes can feel overwhelming but with the correct help and attitude we can soon feel the benefits of repeated Qi flow and awakened consciousness.

Yoga also uses movement to connect ourselves to the universe. We can learn so much from these practices about our bodies and how to get into a flow that benefits mind, body, and spirit. My experience when studying Kundalini Yoga was a very powerful one. Kundalini is known as the mother Yoga and when followed by its principles and ancient wisdom, allows for natural movement of the Kundalini. This is a simple but effective Yoga, often postures being held and breath sequences and Bhandas used to help move energy. Meditations and Mantras with Mudras further help reconnect the spirit and open us to the universal oneness. Both Qigong and Yoga have deep understanding of our energetic connections and make use of techniques and principles that guide us safely back to our spiritual home and beyond. Having studied and experienced both of these models extensively, I feel privileged to have great teachers and the opportunity to pass onto others these great energy healersIn Hindu philosophy including yoga, Indian medicine, and martial arts, Prana (प्राण, prāṇa; the Sanskrit word for "life force" or "vital principle")[1] comprises all cosmic energy, permeating the Universe on all levels. Prana is often referred to as the "life force" or "life energy".[not verified in body] It also includes energies present in inanimate objects.[not verified in body] In the Hindu literature, prana is sometimes described as originating from the Sun and connecting the elements of the Universe. This life energy has been vividly invoked and described in the ancient Vedas and Upanishads.[not verified in body. In living beings, this universal energy is considered responsible for all bodily functions through five types of prana, collectively known as the five vāyus. Ayurveda, tantra and Tibetan medicine all describe praṇā vāyu as the basic vāyu from which all the other vāyus arise. Indologist Georg Feuerstein explains, "The Chinese call it chi, the Polynesians mana, the Amerindians orenda, and the ancient Germans od. It is an all-pervasive 'organic' The ancient concept of prana is described in many early Hindu texts, including Upanishads and Vedas. One of the earliest references to prana is from the 3,000-year-old Chandogya Upanishad, but many other Upanishads also make use of the concept, including the Katha, Mundaka and Prasna Upanishads. The concept is elaborated upon in great detail in the practices and literature of haṭha yoga, tantra, and Ayurveda. Prana is typically divided into multiple constituent parts, in particular when concerned with the human body. While not all early sources agree on the names or number of these subdivisions, the most common list from the Mahabharata, the Upanishads, Ayurvedic and Yogic sources includes five, often divided into further subcategories. This list includes: Prana (inward moving energy), apana (outward moving energy), vyana (circulation of energy), udana (energy of the head and throat), and samana (digestion and assimilation).[citation needed] Early mention of specific pranas often emphasized prāṇa, apāna and vyāna as "the three breaths". This can be seen in the proto-yogic traditions of the Vratyas among others.[6]:104 Texts like the Vaikānasasmārta utilized the five pranas as an internalization of the five sacrificial fires of a panchagni homa ceremony.[6]:111–112 Vāyus

Poren Huang (Chinese: 黃柏仁, born 1970), a Taiwanese sculptor, was born in Taichung, located in central Taiwan. His grandfather and parents engaged in wood carving business.During the 1970s, Poren Huang's father, Mingde Huang, had a successful wood carving industry and huge export volume. As a major wood carving factory in Taiwan, the factory employed more than 100 craftsmen to produce wood handicrafts during peak seasons. Mingde Huang expected his son Poren Huang to inherit the family business, but Poren Huang preferred artistic creation to wood handicraft production, resulting in years of differences between the father and son. In 2005, Poren Huang fully expressed his ideas through his series of works, The Dog's Notes. Although he and his father held different viewpoints, he highly values family interaction. He focused on mending his family relationship before pursuing his personal ambition, and some of his works in The Dog's Notes strongly convey enlightenment and morality. After World War II, with the recovery of the global economy, prosperity and focus on human rights, the hard work of the previous generation is often reciprocated with the disregard, self-centeredness, mockery and impiety of the next generation. In The Dog's Notes, Poren Huang added the quality of loyalty and kindness to purify the human heart and create positive influence.Using the dog as a creative starting point, each piece of work is suggestive of the "human". About 10% to 90% of the works borrow from the dog to explore various human behaviors. Modern people generally feel kindly toward dogs because of their ability to soothe. Therefore, Poren Huang uses the dog as his creative theme to convey positive traits such as self-confidence, courage, loyalty or innocence, and to provoke in people deeper thoughts as they come in contact with his work. Many people are first attracted by the amusing forms; however, after a period of contact and interaction with the pieces, they seem to sense the deeper significance and remain inspired by positive ideas and thoughts. There are primarily two types of animals that appear in The Dog's Notes, the dog and the panda. They share a common characteristic of being humanized. These animals do not appear completely animal-like under Poren Huang's sculpting, but instead, they appear to have the scent of a human. That is why viewers tend to stand in front of the artwork and stare for quite a long time, unwittingly; perhaps it is because they did not get an affirmative answer as to whether the artwork is human or animal? When the dog and the panda enter the human's environment, they naturally learn to cohabitate with humans. They lose the wild nature of being wild animals, and become more humanized. People are the same way. Poren Huang wishes that humans can be more inspired by the dogs, and to learn the positive characters found in dogs, such as innocence, loyalty, kindness, bravery, and being passionate. Much like the Chinese proverb, "The son does not despise the mother for being ugly, and the dog does not blame the owner for being poor"; the dog will not despite the owner, and will not leave the owner, instead he will spend the rest of his life by his owner's side. Humans, on the other hand are different. They might look down on others or alienate others. They might even become disrespectful toward parents. The selfishness of humans causes wars and unrest in the world. Therefore, Poren Huang is not just creating artworks of animals, but instead, he is making his sculptures more humanized, so that the viewers can naturally reflect and be inspired. In addition, Poren Huang's humanized works of art also have a little bit of the "Oriental Literati" essence. Although these artworks will have various emotions, but they are never too intense, and are never over the top. Just like Ang Lee, Xi Jinping, Yo-Yo Ma, Jeremy Lin, as well as other generally well-known Chinese, whose personalities are perhaps the same way, which is gentle and refined, and with the modesty of a gentleman. Much like the Eastern literai who are well read of poetry and literature, their emotions are not easily shown; they are more restrained, and are full of character and depth.

The offspring from this illicit union between angels and human women were giants who “became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” (Genesis 6) The fact that they were giants, is also proof in and of itself that their parentage was superhuman. But these giants were evil. Having been born of corrupted, Satanic angels they dominated the Earth and filled it with violence. It is also interesting to note that the Bible calls them “men of renown.” The Hebrew word here, shem, refers to being famous and legendary. It is as if the Bible is indicating that when the reader hears of legends of “demigods”, titans or legendary heroes who were part god, that this is who those “myths” were referring to. These were ‘men’ of superhuman ability and strength. In addition to causing violence and sin in the world, the Nephilim were also corrupting the human bloodline.

The Nephilim giants spread violence and sin that: “God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Humanity was on the verge of being wiped out with no hope of being saved from sin if every person born became part fallen angel. Thus God judged the Earth with the flood.

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise

thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel… - Gen. 3:15 (KJV)

The word seed, in this above verse, means “semen virile;” hence “offspring,” “posterity,” and “descendants.”[2] We know there were groups of human beings with truly human blood: Adam, the Adamites, and other pre-Adamites. We also know there had begun to be offspring on the earth with mixed

blood - those with blood of the Serpent (such as Cain). We’ll now discover there would be more crossbred-offspring - via these fallen angels, as well; and we’ll discover what it all would mean to the Genesis 3:15

Prophecy.

To begin, the mixing of human and fallen angelic blood was not in God’s plan for the human race, as far as “kind after kind.” There would be entirely new groups of people emerging. What was so wrong with the mixing of humans and Nephilim, other than this? First off, we’ve already mentioned that these crossbred offspring weren’t really meant for this earth. The reason? A number of genetic disturbances developed because of it. Some of these mixed offspring could have turned out normally - similar to other human beings; many others did not. There were a number of those either

much bigger or smaller than their human counterparts. Many were giants, physical giants: On the earth there once were giants.- Homer (circa 400 B. C.)[20]

The ancient genomes, one from a Neanderthal and one from a different archaic human group, the Denisovans, were presented on 18 November at a meeting at the Royal Society in London. They suggest that interbreeding went on between the members of several ancient human-like groups living in Europe and Asia more than 30,000 years ago, including an as-yet unknown human ancestor from Asia.

“What it begins to suggest is that we’re looking at a ‘Lord of the Rings’-type world — that there were many hominid populations,” says Mark Thomas, an evolutionary geneticist at University College London who was at the meeting but was not involved in the work.

The first Neanderthal and the Denisovan genome sequences revolutionized the study of ancient human history, not least because they showed that these groups interbred with anatomically modern humans, contributing to the genetic diversity of many people alive today.

All humans whose ancestry originates outside of Africa owe about 2% of their genome to Neanderthals; and certain populations living in Oceania, such as Papua New Guineans and Australian Aboriginals, got about 4% of their DNA from interbreeding between their ancestors and Denisovans, who are named after the cave in Siberia’s Altai Mountains where they were discovered. The cave contains remains deposited there between 30,000 and 50,000 years ago.

Those conclusions however were based on low-quality genome sequences, riddled with errors and full of gaps, David Reich, an evolutionary geneticist at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts said at the meeting. His team, in collaboration with Svante Pääbo at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Germany, have now produced much more complete versions of the Denisovan and Neanderthal genomes — matching the quality of contemporary human genomes. The high-quality Denisovan genome data and new Neanderthal genome both come from bones recovered from Denisova Cave.

The new Denisovan genome indicates that this enigmatic population got around: Reich said at the meeting that they interbred with Neanderthals and with the ancestors of human populations that now live in China and other parts of East Asia, in addition to Oceanic populations, as his team previously reported. Most surprisingly, Reich said, the new genomes indicate that Denisovans interbred with another extinct population of archaic humans that lived in Asia more than 30,000 years ago, which is neither human nor Neanderthal.

The meeting was abuzz with conjecture about the identity of this potentially new population of humans. “We don’t have the faintest idea,” says Chris Stringer, a paleoanthropologist at the London Natural History Museum, who was not involved in the work. He speculates that the population could be related to Homo heidelbergensis, a species that left Africa around half a million years ago and later gave rise to Neanderthals in Europe. “Perhaps it lived on in Asia as well,” Stringer says.

The earliest known Egyptian pyramid is the Step Pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara. It was built during the third dynasty, 2630-2611 BC and the pyramid and its surrounding complex are said to have been designed by Imhotep. Not the scary figure from the Mummy-movies but the architect and vizier of pharaoh Djoser. Imhotep was skilled in all areas of administration and royal enterprises and he was also a priest, writer, a doctor and the founder of the Egyptian studies of astronomy and architecture. Imhotep was also seen as a god, the God of Healing, and he was called the son of Ptah. Ptah was one of five major Egyptian gods with Re, Isis, Osiris and Amun. The name Imhotep means "the one that comes in peace" but where he came from is unknown. From statues of him we can see that he had Caucasian features and the long head of the pharaohs even if he was not a pharaoh.

Djoser's mummy has not been found, but what is remarkable about his pyramid is all the storage rooms plus a large maze of corridors and chambers dug beneath it. Massive amounts of seeds like wheat, barley, grape, tomato and figs - along with 40.000 storage vessels has been found so far. Egyptologists claim this to be for the king's afterlife but would he need such a large amount of seeds in a theological heaven?

The Svalbard Global Seed Vault, made by the government of Norway deep inside a mountain on the remote and cold island of Svalbard, is a "doomsday" seed bank that stores backup copies of millions of different crop varieties in case of a worldwide catastrophe. Is it possible that also all the seeds in Djoser's storage rooms were meant to be in case of catastrophe - to restart the Egyptian civilisation?

Imhotep diagnosed and treated over 200 diseases; he performed surgery and practiced some dentistry. He has a remarkable degree of medical knowledge. The prescriptions in his ancient documents not only can compare with pharmaceutical preparations of today but many of the remedies also had therapeutic merit, Yes, many of his ancient remedies survived into the 20th century and some remain in

Akenaten.Semen and ejaculation are actually a strong part of ancient Egyptian god myths: there's an extended episode in which Set and Horus, two male gods, have what's essentially a semen-battle. Set tries to seduce Horus, but Horus throws Set's semen in the river, and then tricks him into eating lettuce smeared with Horus's semen. When the other gods try to figure out who "won" this particular fight, they summon both bits of sperm, and Horus wins, because he got Set to "swallow". Horus's semen becomes a lovely gold disc of shame around Set's head. The Horus and Seth story ends with the father, Osiris, declaring his son, Horus, his legitimate heir. Seth is brought as a bound prisoner, a game that was played by post-pubescent boys, and Isis closes the ceremony with a declaration of Horus’s new identity.

Hathor’s role in the Horus and Seth story may be that of the female entertainer, because, at a time when Pre Harakhty was sulking “she uncovered her nakedness before him, thereupon the great god laughed at her.” Literally, she ‘uncovered her vagina’, and judging from the lion’s flank determinative, she exposed her vagina by bending forward, a popular pose among the relatively few pornographic pictures we have from ancient Egypt. The way the words are written, the sexual act is implied, but not expressly stated. The sun-god nevertheless emerges from his depression with satisfaction. Perhaps someone can come up with another example where laughter is a euphemism for orgasm.

The point here is that Hathor used her sexuality here not for reproduction, but for entertainment, or, perhaps healing, in the sense of curing a depression

Did Imhotep also have knowledge of genetics? Is it possible that he with his superior medical skills tried to restore the pharaoh's dwindling power and knowledge? Had interbreeding with local people changed the divine pharaohs mental capacities, did their long skulls get shorter and shorter and the brain capacities smaller and smaller? Did he try to recreate the former race that once had come from the north - the race that he himself most probably had inherited his impressive brain capacities from? Is that why the pharaoh Akenaten not only had a long skull but also female features like breasts and a wide hip? And Akenaten's daughters had even longer skulls and that his son Tutankhamun's DNA (from his mummy) has revealed that he was not an Egyptian but had come from the north?

Denisovans are the famous Nephilim?

back

The world, thanks to Cain and the Serpent, was now on the slow pathway to self-destruction. We also know Cain, through his “ways,” was doing the exact opposite that God had planned for him. Adam had fallen a long time before this. The whole working world of the Garden had forever changed. The other fallen, corporeal angels of the Garden probably felt vindicated, at least in their minds. Cain began to influence the developing societies around him with these anti-God religious beliefs. Cain, the Serpent, and now these other fallen angels were being held in high regard - for their “other worldly” knowledge. This would, eventually, give them their “bargaining chips,” to get themselves whatever they wanted.

The rest of the fallen angels, also known as the Nephilim, wanted their place in this post-Adamic world.

The power grid had changed; and these fallen angels aimed to keep it that way. We recall the prophecy, as stated by God to the Serpent: Here we finally arrive at the Nephilimas a means of addressing the genetic evidence that the effective human population never dropped below a few thousand.27 Genesis 6 is the enigmatic story leading up to Noah’s flood,

in which the “sons of God” found the “daughters of

men” to be beautiful and took them as wives. These

unions were an anathema to God, and the offspring

are identifi ed with their own name, the Nephilim,

of which some became known as “mighty men” or

“men of renown.” There are three common explanations

offered: angels marrying human women, noblemen or tyrant rulers marrying commoners, or the righteous line of Seth intermarrying with the unrighteous line of Cain.28 Substantive objections can be raised for each of these arguments. Angels intermarrying with humans fails because Christ explicitly

stated that angels neither marry nor are given in

marriage (Mark 12).29 Noblemen intermarrying with

commoners is a stretch because this would not have

been objectionable to God, and would not have produced

offspring with any unusual physical attributes.

DAN: My way has been playing with breath energy: Shakti’s way is playing with sexual energy. When we bring those two energies together—not between or among us—but within us, something quite magical can happen. It’s impossible for me to go to sleep in Shakti’s presence. It’s very hard to remain unconscious when I am in her presence. That’s the main reason I chose to work and play with her.

You can wake up in the world and then very quickly fall asleep again, because most people in the world are sleeping, unconscious. At some point in my life I woke up; and I like being awake. But it’s a constant conscious process, a real challenge to stay awake. It is very easy to fall asleep and go unconscious in the world. There are so many distractions so many things that distract us, that pull us out of our selves. And so what we need are people and places and ways to keep us awake, to keep us on the path of going deeper and reaching higher. That is why I am working and playing with Shakti.

SHAKTI: When I met Dan I knew that we could do beautiful things together, because Dan has such a deep knowledge and understanding and experience of the breath. For me, whenever I breathe in, it feels like I am making love. So try it now. When you breathe in, feel the caress of the breath, feel the way that the breath touches you from the inside out, feel how it softens you, how it makes you soft inside, how it makes you expand. The breath is so simple, and yet every time we breathe we can open up more, to feel more, to love more, to love ourselves more, to become more open to others.

DAN: When you breathe, everyone and everything, all the energies of the world come into you; the all and the small touches every cell in your body. When you breathe out, something of you, your essence, something from every cell in your body goes out and mixes with everything else in the world. It is not just a pretty idea. It’s a fact in reality: the breath connects us to everyone and everything. The breath that’s inside of you now, was in someone else just a minute ago. We can’t hide from each other. Separation is an illusion—a sometimes useful and convenient illusion—but an illusion none the less.

The breath that is coming in and out of us carries information. We can take from it what we want and let the rest come and go. Everything is available to us with every breath. When the breath comes into you, you have an opportunity to give that breath a signature, to impress it with some intention, some energy before it leaves you again.

So what is important? If you could send some energy out into the world, what would it be? What quality? What frequency? What is the deepest part of you? What is the highest part of you? What is your deepest or highest aspiration in life? You share that with the world with every breath. If the breath brings to you all the energies of the world, which energies do you choose to focus upon? Which do you drink in? How about the energies of love? How about the energy of peace and joy? How about consciously breathing that kind of energy!

SHAKTI: Many of us have been taught that loving is not safe, if we open our hearts to love, we might get hurt. And we have learned that sexual energy is not safe. When I love someone sexually, I might get hurt. Sexual energy causes a lot of separation for many people. If we could open our hearts to sexual energy, it could open our hearts to the realm of love. It could help us to wake up sexually and spiritually.

For most people our sexual experience is confined to our genitals. For most people you can hope for 45 seconds of sexual orgasm. Imagine an orgasm continuing for 8 hours! Imagine it beginning in your genitals and going up through your whole body. Imagine connecting your genitals to your heart—cycling, circulating energy between the two, building up life force, and from there rippling through your whole body. This is possible for all of us if we want to wake up. If you want to stay asleep then it’s better to simply continuing with your 45 second orgasms.

DAN: Some people are always trying to protect their heart—like our heart is so sensitive, so delicate, so easily broken. In fact it sensitive and it’s also the strongest part of us—the part that least needs protecting! It’s possible to wake up to our heart in the middle of an orgasm, and then stay awake. When something in you opens, if you can relax with it, it remains open. But we’ve been taught that when you walk around in this world, when you live in this world, you have to be on guard, a part of you must remain closed. It’s is a reflex, a habit.

We can create a sacred space here, a safe place in which to open our hearts together. We can learn to keep our heart open. And we can learn to quickly open it again when it closes due to old habits and fears. As we do this, we discover that an amazing thing happens. Every time your heart opens, if it closes again, it cannot close all the way. (It hurts too much to do that.) The fear comes back and we close, but not completely, not all the way. And gradually we learn to live freely and safely with an open heart. And a few days is enough. 2, 3, 4 days is plenty of time to master the art of opening your heart, if that is your intention.

SHAKTI: So Dan and I will give you a chance to be with us for a few days. We will tell you about that later. For now, you can enjoy the time with us now. I have found that the breath also makes space in us. When you think of how we usually breathe, we are not paying attention to our breath. If we can start to really enjoy our breath, then something beautiful can happen. In the Tantric practice there is a beautiful breath:

Follow the curve of the breath as you breathe in; follow the curve of the breath as you breathe out. Find that moment when the curve of the in-breath becomes the curve of the out-breath. Find that moment when the curve of the out-breath becomes the curve of the in-breath. Find the pause between the two. If you sink deeply into that pause… in that moment you can wake up.

Breathe with me. Breathe in with me and feel the pause. Breathe out with me and feel the pause. In the silence between the out-breath and the in-breath—in that moment, nothing exists and yet everything exists.

Now let your body move with the breath. Breathing in, your spine opens and arches; breathing out, the spine relaxes. Breathing in, opening the spine; breathing out, relaxing the spine. How does that feel? Does it feel good? When you breathe in, the whole body expands, so the spine also curves. I will show you now. For many of us our spines are not very flexible because we hold ourselves very tight. When we learn to relax very deeply and allow the movement in the body, the breath can go deeper.

In Tantra, when my partner breathes in, I breathe out. When he breathes out, I breathe in his breath. When I breathe out, he breathes in my breath. You can see and feel that even without touching we are building up orgasmic energy.

[Shakti and Dan model “making love” with the breath in public. The audience gets turned on.]

SHAKTI: Many years ago, I had a couple come visit me. The man and the woman were almost 80 years old. Their sexual life was not very good. I taught them to breathe like this. They didn’t want to touch each other. So I gave them each a chair, facing each other. They made love to each other with their breath. It changed their relationship. They couldn’t believe that they still desired each other so much. And that was even without their bodies touching.

DAN: You know, young children are filled with sexual energy, it’s not localized. Every cell lives an orgasmic experience, and children are in touch with that. That’s why they can’t sit still, they can’t be quiet. That’s why they shine. That’s why they are so joyful. There is too much ecstatic energy flowing thru them. Then as we grow older, culture and family and religion and tradition and society stifle and inhibit this life-energy in us. We are taught that only in certain places, only at certain times, and only with certain people are we to allow an experience of that energy.

This creates not just a spiritual problem, but also physical problems. Because that is how illness and disease take root in the body. The life force is not allowed to flow fully and freely, and so parts of us begin to die. Waking this energy up again and filling your whole body with it can reverse the aging process, it can make you younger!

I am really grateful to Shakti, because she has brought a certain playfulness back into my work. I had become very serious about my practice. I’m a serious guy, and she is definitely neither!

[A question from audience about which breathing technique Dan uses in daily life.]

DAN: I have discovered that any technique can have a hypnotic effect. It’s a good to practice various techniques. However, if the technique becomes more important than the one who practices it, then that is not so good. My basic practice is to simply bring awareness to my breath as often as possible and in as many situations and activities as possible. In addition to “breath awareness” I practice “conscious breathing.” I practice breathing fast, breathing slow, breathing high, breathing low. The two techniques are watching the breath and playing with the breath. There are a few basic or core techniques that everyone can benefit form, and so I teach and practice those. I encourage people to explore the basics, to build on those core techniques, and to do so in their own way.

[A question from the audience about sex and spirituality, about the evils of the body and physical pleasure, about the necessity of celibacy.]

DAN: They don’t understand life. They don’t see the whole picture. They just don’t get it. They are buying into a philosophy. They have been taught to deny their sacred nature. They are living out of a spiritual ego. This ego lives in sinners and saints, monks and murderers. It takes over and runs them. It hides in those monks who suppress and deny their natural feelings and desires. That’s the purpose and the role of a dakini, a tantrika.

SHAKTI: I will tell you two stories: One story is about a monk who is a student. He has been sitting on the mountain for 30 years, meditating. He has been celibate for 30 years, drinking no wine, eating no meat. Then his teacher looks at him and decides he is ready to wake up. So he sends a dakini to the student. A dakini is a woman like me who teaches the sacred sexual practices of tantra. So the dakini goes to the monk, seduces the monk. The monk cannot resist her, he makes love to her. The monk as he makes love to her, his spiritual ego has such a big shock, and this last powerful but very subtle ego is shattered.

If he doesn’t wake up, then she will give him meat to eat and wine to drink. She will seduce him into breaking all his spiritual rules. If still the shock has not been big enough to break his ego, then she will start to teach him the sexual practices of Tantra. She will teach him how to wake up his sexual energy, how to take it up his body, how to wake up every cell in his body. She will teach him how to let his heart have an orgasm, so that his heart is blown open to the whole world. She will teach him how to let his sexual energy explode through his crown chakra, so that he can feel that he is at one with everything. When your orgasmic energy goes through the crown of your head, you will know unmistakably that you are one with everything and everyone, that there is no separation. The beloved is everywhere.

2nd story: Somebody goes to the Dali Lama and asks him: “Don’t you miss having an orgasm because you don’t have sex?” The Dali Lama looks puzzled. He says: “My dear, I am having orgasms all the time!”

DAN: You see I don’t think we have the luxury of time any more. We are no longer in the age when you could sit in a cave for 30 years and seek enlightenment at a snail’s pace. We don’t have that kind of time anymore. Things are accelerating on the planet, they are intensifying. Maybe you’ve noticed it. Something is happening.

There was a time when there was only one Buddha walking the earth, one Jesus, one Moses, one Mohammed, one Krishna, one Lao Tsu. Today there are tens of thousands, maybe millions of Buddha’s on the planet! Something is happening. It’s getting easier to wake up. You could pass a Buddha on the street and not know it. You could sit on the side of a Buddha on the metro and not know it. You could live next door to a Buddha and not know it. And if you are not careful, you could be a Buddha and not know it!

Time does not enter into the process of awakening. Time is not a factor. The ancient monks had the right idea. They pulled themselves out of the world because no one around them wanted to wake up. They put themselves in a place where everyone around them wanted to wake up, and so it was easier. But then they practiced these rituals and then they developed an identity linked to these rituals, and so their practice at some point became the obstacle to the very thing they wanted to achieve. And this is true of everything.

Something that is meant to help us can actually get in the way. And something that the priests and politicians say is bad and will hurt us can actually set us free. If you are ready, whatever you do will work. The next book you read, the next teacher you meet, the next technique you practice, will bring your liberation. It has nothing to do with the book, the technique or the teacher. Well, it has something to do with that. But the real thing, the thing that matters most, is your readiness.

One breath is enough if you are truly, genuinely, and totally ready. You breathe ten to twenty thousand breaths per day. That’s ten to twenty thousand invitations, ten to twenty thousand opportunities. How many of those breaths do you use? How many do you take advantage of? How many do you put toward your liberation?

Become conscious of your breath right now. Feel it, watch it, listen to it. Be with it moment to moment, totally. Disappear into that moment when the in-breath and the-out breath touch, when they come together. Becoming free might be a lot easier than we have been led to believe. A good friend of mine, Leonard Orr who invented rebirthing, once said: “Most religions make it so hard to get to heaven, that even God couldn’t make it!”

More and more people are waking up. The vibrations on this planet, the energy of the planet itself is getting higher, and this is lifting people up. And the energies in people are getting higher, and this raises the vibrations of the planet. Everything is coming together, creating a great acceleration.

SHAKTI: And we don’t have time to waste anymore. For many thousands of years we walked around with clubs—cavemen with big sticks. We killed animals with big sticks and we ate the meat. Everything was about survival. Then we discovered each other… that if we do things together, we are safer. We learned that we could plant seeds and grow our own fields. Men thought that women were divine. They sensed that God, the Source, was a woman (because women gave birth).

Men did not realize that they had anything to do with it. (Men did not connect sex with babies, they didn’t have a clue.) So in those years, God was seen as being a woman. And the priests/priestess were women. Men would pay to have sex with the priestess in the temple, because they understood that through entering the priestess they could have direct access to the Goddess. They understood that women’s sexuality was the gateway to the Divine.

But then the world changed. About five thousand years ago was the beginning of patriarchy. That was the time men took over, and they made a new story. The symbol of the Goddess which was the snake became the symbol of the Devil. They say that Eve ate the apple, and because she bit the apple, everyone got thrown out of the Garden of Eden. So it is because of woman’s desire that everybody got thrown out of paradise.

We created a split between the sacred and the sexual form. Either you are a virgin or you are a whore. A split we still struggle with that today. The world has lost the beauty and the power of the feminine. It is time for woman to reclaim their beauty and their sacredness. It is time for us to accept again that our sexuality is a gateway to the divine.

I know that men want to love and worship the feminine… that men want to love and adore women. They are waiting for women… for us to be willing to accept ourselves, and to celebrate our own sexuality. When a man enters a woman and she deeply opens to her own divinity, she can take him into the deepest mystery. And that is what all men are waiting for. So that the time we are living in now, is a time when the masculine and the feminine have to marry inside of us. It is the time of deep merging of the masculine and the feminine.

It is the age of the waking up of the heart. Patriarchy is over, the old structures are not working any more. We have to live in the way of the heart, and to get there we have to connect with our desire and our devotion to the divine, that lives in all of us.

[A question from audience about the loss of sexual power, energy, about menopause]

SHAKTI: There comes a time in a woman’s life when she stops menstruating it is called menopause. I have worked with many women who are menopausal. Many of those women have lived most of their sexual lives suppressed. In fact for many women, the only sex they have ever had has been to please a man, doing what the man needs. Many women have not discovered the real pleasure of sex. Many women are not in touch with their own bodies.

So in my work, I teach women how to connect with their pleasure again. Just through the breath, just through relaxing, just from starting to feel from the inside out. And I see women who are menopausal or older becoming orgasmic. Even without touching themselves, even without touching anybody else. They become exquisitely beautiful because they are opening to their own energy.

DAN: This Buddha nature we are talking about is within us. Everyone is carrying it. When we begin to recognize our own Buddha nature, we begin to notice it in other people. It’s like looking at water. You can look at the surface and see your reflection or you can look through and see the fish swimming underneath by adjusting your focus. And then we have these photographs now that everyone has seen where you look at it, it’s a bunch of chaotic patterns, but if you do something with your eyes there is an image there.

So something happens in us. You are looking at the ugliness, the pain and suffering of the world, and then suddenly something happens, suddenly… this amazing beauty is right there, right here. Or you are looking inside at your own confusion, and your problems and your emotions and your negative thoughts. And then suddenly the real nature of those things is seen, something happens. If you try and strain to make it happen it gets further away. So it is interesting. We have this paradox.

We have this yearning, this longing to wake up. It’s like being so thirsty. It makes us look and seek and try and work. It’s like trying to remember where you put your glasses, then you stop trying and ah hah! They are right here! So there is something about opening up and simply letting go. We can use the breath to do that, we can use each other to do that. And we can use this beautiful play of male and female energies to do that, and in the process of playing something happens.

Question from the audience: “how to use the breath to wake up?”

DAN: You combine breathing with thought, sound, visualization, movement. You can develop a conscious relationship to the basic elements of life: earth, air, water, fire, space. You use the breath to embody the essence of those elements. We play with a couple of basic things. You know the philosophy, the stories. We are in a bookstore here, surrounded by answers. But how do you translate information into a real, actual experience. Every system offers a different approach. For every idea or method there is an opposite idea or method. So if we draw from our own nature, if we take from what we are naturally given to enjoy, and begin to work with that, things become simple…

For example, a simple sigh of relief. When you let go of the breath, you can let go of many other things. And when you pull in air, you not only pull in air, you pull in energy. Every breath can be a prayer; every breath is a blessing. When you let go of the breath, you can let go of whatever is holding you back. If you practice letting go of the breath, you develop the ability to let go of many other things. And if you can let go completely, just for a moment, then everything opens up to us.

If you cannot let go of the breath, don’t be surprised if you cannot let go of pain. If you cannot let go of your breath, don’t be surprised if you cannot let go of fear, or negative thoughts that bother you, or habits or behaviors that are not serving you. If you learn to let go of the breath quickly and completely, then you can build on that skill. There is tremendous organic pleasure in a sigh of relief. If you focus on it, you can generate joy.

[Dan demonstrates a big soothing, pleasurable “coming home breath”]

Is it possible to be in pain and breathe like this? Have you ever seen anyone who is in pain breathe like this? No. It’s impossible—unless you really practice! Can you be afraid, can you be frozen in fear and breathe like this? [again demonstrating another coming home breath] You cannot.

Notice that whenever you are in pain and the pain goes away, you breathe like that… something happens to the breath. You don’t think about it, you don’t make it happen. It’s not a technique: it is a natural reflex. When you move from one state to another state, from pain to no pain, that breath happens by itself. The same thing happens when you are afraid and then the fear goes away: that breath happens.

That’s not an accident of nature. That breathing response is hard-wired into us. If you practice that breath consciously, you prompt the system to moving from one state to another. And the fact is you now have pain. Just because you are not conscious of it, does not mean that it’s not there. And you carry fear. Just because you do not feel fear in this moment, doesn’t mean it’s not there.

And so what we have discovered is, if you make this breath a habit of your system; expanding, opening, letting go, relaxing. If we make it a habit of our system, so that it happens automatically, something amazing happens. It’s like making music. If you have to think about where to put your fingers on the piano, you might be able to make it through a little song, but you really can’t make music. It has to be automatic. It has to just flow from you unconsciously. Then you make real music!

So in the beginning you practice certain things, you develop the skill. With deep practice it becomes second nature, an unconscious ability. Then real music happens! So it is with this sigh of relief, this coming home breath. Do the math. We have been practicing math at my seminars. If you breathe 20,000 times a day and you make use of just 1/10th of 1% of those breaths… Any math professors here? How many conscious breaths is that? 200? If you make use of just 200 breaths per day for 5 days and don’t begin to wake up to your Buddha nature, I’d be shocked! You must be avoiding it!

200 conscious breaths each day. That’s an easy way to begin. Focus on your heart as you open and expand and let go. If you do that 200 times a day for one week, and your life does not begin to change, I won’t believe it.

If afterward you say: “I tried breathing 200 times a day for one week, each time consciously focusing on my heart and generating love, and nothing happened.” I would have to say: “You are lying. You could not have practiced it.” It’s not possible, because with every one of those intentional breaths, you are waking up and you are falling into your nature. You can only walk a path so many times before the path becomes a big wide highway. Soon, the heart connection is open all the time. And it hurts to close it, so you have no interest in closing it. Just the opposite: more and more, every breath becomes orgasmic!

But you actually have to do it. It’s not a philosophy, it is a practice. That’s what I love about Shakti, she doesn’t let people live in their heads, she makes people breathe and move and feel into their heart and body. So please don’t come to the training if you don’t want to wake up, if you don’t want to actually practice. Just read another book. Put more information in your head. Satisfy your mind.

SHAKTI: I want to respond to your question about fire. The element of fire is interesting, because you can use the element of fire to wake up. You can use the heart fire of sexual energy to wake up your sexual identity. It’s like this. Breathe like this:

[Shakti models the fire breath, then Dan models it, then he invites others to practice it.]

Encouraging people to make pleasurable sounds on the exhale, breathing out thru the mouth. Breathing in thru the nose… hold your breath… Do you feel the heat? Let go. Feel the warmth. [Demonstrating a natural body movement with the breath] Do you recognize this movement? No wonder making love feels so good!

SHAKTI: If you do this movement all the time when you are making love, the man will ejaculate. It is too exciting. It is too stimulating- the man gets too hot. His sexual energy gets too hot. He gets too excited, so he ejaculates. And that’s the end.[Dan mimics going right to sleep after sex, snoring]. Now the woman has just started making love (because we can go for a long time) so we get frustrated. We start thinking sex is not about our pleasure.

But it is possible for the man to learn how to ride the wave of his sexual energy. In the beginning you can build up the heat, but when the man gets very aroused he has to notice before it is too late, and slow down, hold the beloved closer, and breathe deeply. He can still be in penetration, but now we are going into the deep rhythm of the body. We are letting the heat ripple through the whole body.

And that quality I call the “Rippling Blue Flame.” Have you ever see pictures of Indian Gods, like Krishna or Shiva? Have you noticed that they are often portrayed as blue? I think it is because they understand the secret of sex. I think it is because those gods understand the secret of sex. I think they understand that if you keep holding your sexual energy, if you don’t throw it off… what happens is the fire starts rippling over your skin. Every part of your body gets set alive. It gets set on fire. But it is a cool fire. It is a fire that can go on and on.

If you have a lot of wood and you make a big bonfire, you light the match, you light the fire, you burn up all the wood. 5 minute, 10 minutes, 11minutes. How long do people make love? 11 minutes tops. Then the man ejaculates and it’s all over. But another way is to build a small fire, to build up the heat slowly. When it gets too hot, you slow down. You add one log at a time. You go deeper, you go slower. You recycle the breath with your partner. You let the fire spread through your whole body. You feel it rippling through your skin. That is how you build the fire.

When the man is ready, you can build a hot fire again, then you can go fast again, then when it gets too hot you slow down, you ride the wave. Then you build the sexual energy, till just before it gets too hot… then you ride it again, then you build it again, then you ride it again, that’s why you can go on forever.

The first time I experienced this was with my teacher, the orgasm went on for the whole weekend. Then it only stopped because I had to go home. So in Tantra, the only question we ask is how much bliss can you stand? Can you cope with more pleasure, or do you have to throw it off by having an ejaculation? Can you open to more pleasure? Can you keep building the bliss?

DAN: You see, at some point the body cannot tell the difference between intense pain and intense pleasure. It’s the same: intense. All the body knows is that it is too intense. So when you approach your limit to pleasure, your system reacts the same way as it does to pain. The muscles get tense, you hold your breath, and you try to escape and withdraw from the intensity. So you have to train your body to relax into intensity. Pain is not the problem. Everybody is very good at tolerating pain. And I think the Russians hold the world record! No doubt! So pleasure is the real problem. You can watch your body react as you approach ecstasy. If you haven’t practiced breathing and relaxing into intensity, it isn’t going to be fun. That’s why I love Shakti, she helps people gently open to the ecstasy that is already within us.

[Question from audience about having children]

SHAKTI: What happens when you wake up is that your personal world and the divine world become one. You have no personal desire, but the desire of existence moves through you. So if it is meant to be that you will have children, you will.

DAN: And when you are free, you do things consciously, not because it is an unconscious program. I know two awakened people who recently had a child, Ivonne and Toby. They had a child. His name is Iam (“I am”). And he chose them.

[Question about breathing through the mouth]

SHAKTI: I teach breathing through the mouth: “ahhh…” It is relaxing, breathing through the mouth is good for dropping control. There is too much control, so I teach breathing through the mouth- especially good for women- relaxing.

DAN: Do what feels good, then practice the opposite until it also feels good. Breathe the energy of the moment. When you see or hear or feel something, breathe it in, connect to the energy of it with the breath.

[Question about using sacred geometry in tantra]

SHAKTI: The master of the practices would go into deep meditation and the energy of the practice would run through his body. Students would write down what they see, then they would make calculations and draw diagrams. They would develop a system based upon what they saw happening in the master. Then it became all about the system. They forgot that the master did it naturally.

All you have to do is get everything out of the way of the natural. It is natural for your body to want to wake up. It is natural for your body to be orgasmic. All you have to do is get out of the way, let your ego get out of the way. Be with people who experience this. By spending time with us you have the chance to experience this in your own body.

Today I am going to talk about Hazel's sex life! Oh yes, and fascinating it is too. The Hazel tree is monoecious, i.e. it has different male and female flowers on the same plant. The male catkins dandle down full of pollen ready to explode in a crescendo with the tiny delicate female flower receptive and all sticky ready to receive. In woods of birch and hazel if you are lucky you may see the spectacular ejaculation, a thick mist of pollen is released in synchronicity looking like fog enveloping the forest. The female ovaries then swell over the summer until autumn when the ripe fruit is ready to be plucked. So, here is the tiny female flower.....................

Giant Crocodile Lily, Euryale Ferox. The plant foxnut belongs to the family Nymphaeaceae. It is popularly known as “Makhana” in India. It grows in water and is found in India, Korea, Japan and Russia.

Fox nut plant does not have stem. It has large round leaves and produces bright purple flowers. The whole plant is covered with small thorns (kantaka) .The leaves of fox nut plant have green upper surface and purple shaded lower surface. This plant produces fruits which are about the size of a small orange. Each fruit contains 8-10 seeds which are of pea size.It is highly nutritious food that has been used as a snack all over and also used in different recipes especially in Indian cuisines. It can be had in the roasted or fried form. It can be stored for a longer time if kept in air tight containers. Chinese use it as a part of medicines as it has various medicinal properties too. They use to strengthen spleen and kidneys.

Fox nut and its beneficial attributes:

Fox Nuts are considered superior to dry fruits such as almonds, walnut, cashew nut and coconut in terms o sugar, protein, ascorbic acid and phenol content

It is high on anti oxidant and thus acts an anti-aging food, helping in preventing white hair, wrinkles, premature ageing etc.

It is high in fiber and so helps to avoid constipation. They help the body to flush out the waste and thus prevent the accumulation of toxins

It is also an aphrodisiac, thus helping in fertility issues like premature ejaculation, increasing the quality of semen and also helps women in overcoming infertility.

These nuts are low on saturated fats and Sodium and high on Magnesium, Potassium and helps in controlling high blood pressure and diabetes too.

It helps in controlling palpitation and insomnia as it has calming properties

It helps in reliving arthritis- numbness and pain in joints

As it is has astringent properties it also helps cure diarrhea and have better appetite.

It strengthens the body and reduces burning sensation and quenches thirst.

These nuts are a type of seed that could be included in the daily cereals or soup to maintain good health. Since it has good amount of protein it is considered apt snack for vegetarians. But, because it is neutral in taste, usually no one prefers to eat it raw.

The following then, are those etiquettes:

1. Kindness toward your wife when you wish to enter into her

It is desirable, when one goes into his wife on his wedding night, to show her kindness, such as presenting her with something to drink, etc. This is found in the hadith narrated by Asmaa' bint Yazid ibn As-Sakan who said: "I beautified 'As'ishah for Allaah's Messenger, then called him to come to see her unveiled. He came, sat next to her, and brought a large cup of milk from which he drank. Then, he offered it to 'Aa'ishah, but she lowered her head and felt shy. I scolded her and said to her: "Take from the hand of the Prophet." She then took it and drank some. Then, the Prophet said to her, "Give some to your companion." At that point, I said: "O Messenger of Allaah, rather take it yourself and drink, and then give it to me from your hand." He took it, drank some, and then offered it to me. I sat down and put it on my kness. Then, I began rotating it and following it with my lips in order that I might hit the spot from which the Prophet had drunk. Then, the Prophet said about some women who were there with me: "Give them some." But, they said: "We don't want it." (ie. we are not hungry). The Prophet said: "Do not combine hunger and fibbing!" [Ahmad and al-Humaidi. Ahmad reports it with 2 isnaads - one of which supports the other, and it is supported...]"

2. Placing your hands on your wife's head and praying for her

The husband should, at the time of consummating the marriage with his wife or before that, place his hand on the front part of her head, mention the name of Allah Most High, and pray for Allah's blessings. As in the statement of the Prophet: "When any of you marries a woman ... he should hold her forelock, mention Allah Most High, and pray for His blessings saying: "O Allaah, I ask You for the good in her and the good with which You have created her, and I seek refuge in You from the evil in her and the evil with which You have created her." {Allaahumma innee as'aluka min khairiha wa khairi maa jabaltaha 'alaihi wa a'oodhubika min sharriha wa sharri maa jabaltaha 'alaihi} [Aboo Dawood and others. Al-Bukhari in "Af'aalul-'Ibaad", Aboo Dawood, Ibn Majah, al-Haakim, al-Baihaqee and Aboo Ya'laa with hasan isnaad ...]

3. The praying of husband and wife together

It is desirable for the husband and wife to pray 2 rakaat together on their wedding night. This has been narrated from the earliest generation of Muslims, as in the following 2 narrations:

First: On the authority of Abu Sa'eed Mawla Abu Asyad who said: "I got married while I was a slave. I invited a number of the companions of the Prophet, among them was Ibn Mas'ood, Abu Dharr and Hudhaifa. When the prayer was called, Abu Dharr began to step forward when the others said to him: 'No!' He said: 'Is it so?' And they said: 'Yes.' Then, I stepped forward and led the prayer though I was a slave possessed. They taught me, saying: 'When your wife comes to you, pray 2 rakaat. Then, ask Allaah for the good of that which has come to you, and seek refuge in Him from its evil. Then it is up to you and it is up to your wife.'" [Ibn Abi Shaibah and 'Abdur-Razzaaq]

Second: On the authority of Shaqeeq who said: "A man named Abu Hareez came and said: 'I have married a young girl, and I am afraid that she will despise me.' 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ood said to him: "Verily, closeness is from Allaah, and hatred is from Shaitaan, who wishes to make despicable that which Allaah has allowed. So, when your wife comes to you, tell her to pray behind you 2 rakaat.'" In another version of the same story, "'Abdullah went on to say: 'And say: 'O Allah give Your blessings on me in my wife, and to her in me. O Allaah join us together as long as You join us in good, and split us apart if You send to us that which is better.'" [Ibn Abi Shaibah and at-Tabaraani and 'Abdur-Razzaaq: Saheeh].

4. What to say at the time of making Love

When a Muslim man is about to enter his wife, he should always say first:

Bismillahi, Allahumma jannibnaa ash-shaitaan, wa jannib

ash-shaitaan maa razaqtanna

[In the name of Allah, O Allah, keep us away from the devil, and keep the

devil away from that which You may grant us (ie. offspring).]

About this, the Prophet said: "After that, if Allah decrees that they will have a child, the devil will never be able to harm that child". [al-Bukharee][1]

5. How he should come to her

It is allowed for a Muslim man to enter his wife in her vagina from any direction he wishes - from behind or from the front. About this Allaah revealed the following verse:

"Your wives are a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth

when or how ye will" [al-Baqarah 2:223]

There are also various hadith on this subject, of which I will give only 2:

On the authority of Jaabir who said: "The Jews used to say that if a man entered his wife in the vagina but from behind, their child would be cross-eyed! Then Allaah revealed the verse: "Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will;" [al-Baqarah 2:223]. The Prophet said : "From the front or the back, as long as it is in the vagina". [Al-Bukharee and Muslim]

On the authority of Ibn 'Abbaas who said: "The Ansaar, who had been polytheists, lived with the Jews, who were people of the book. The former viewed the latter as being superior to them in knowledge, and used to follow their example in many things. The people of the book would only make love to their wives from the side, this being the most modest way for the woman, and the Ansaar had followed their example in that. These people from the Quraish, on the other hand, used to expose their women in an uncomely manner. They took pleasure in them from the front, from the back, or laid out flat. When the Makkans came to al-Madeenah at the time of the Hijrah, one of them married a woman from among the Ansaar, and began doing that with her. She disapproved of it and told him: "We used only to be approached from the side, so do that or stay away from me!" This dispute became very serious until it reached the ears of the Prophet. So Allaah, revealed the verse: "Your wives are as a tilth unto you, so approach your tilth when or how ye will;" [al-Baqarah 2:223] (ie. from the front, the back, or laid out flat). What is meant here is the entry which produces children." [Aboo Dawood, al-Haakim and others: Hasan isnaad and is supported].

6. The Prohibition of Sodomy

It is forbidden for a Muslim man to enter his wife in her anus. This is understood from the verse quoted above (i.e. since a "planting ground" can only refer to a place where something might grow), and from the narrations cited above. There are also other hadith on the subject, among them:

First: On the authority of Umm Salama who said: "When the Muhajireen came to Ansaar at al-Madeenah, some of them married women from the Ansaar. The women of the Muhajireen used to lie on their faces (during intercourse), while the women of the Ansaar never did it that way. Then, one of the men of the Muhajireen wanted his wife to do that. She refused until such time as she could ask the Prophet about it. She went to the Prophet but was embarassed to ask the question, adn so Umm Salama asked him. Then the verse was revealed which says: "Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will;" [al-Baqarah 2:223]. The Prophet> said: "No! (not any way you wish) Except in one opening! (ie. the vagina)". [Ahmad, at-Tirmidhee and others : Saheeh]

Second: On the authority of Ibn 'Abbaas who said: "'Umar ibn Al-Khattaab came to the Prophet and said: 'O Messenger of Allaah, I am destroyed!' The Prophet asked: 'And what has destroyed you, O 'Umar?' 'Umar said: `I turned my mount around last night.' (An expression which means he has sexual intercourse with his wife penetrating the vagina while mounting her from the rear.) The Prophet gave him no answer and when the revelation came and the verse was revealed which says: "Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will;" [al-Baqarah 2:223] and the Prophet said: "From the front and from the back, just beware of her anus and her menses". [an-Nasaa'ee in "`Ishratun-Nisaa" with hasan isnaad, at-Tirmidhee and others].

Third: On the authority of Khuzaima ibn Thaabit who said: "A man asked the Prophet about entering women in the rear, or the entering by a man of his wife in her rear, and the Prohet answered: `Halaal (ie. permissible).' When the man turned to leave, the Prophet called him or ordered for him to be called back and said : "What did you say? In which of the 2 openings did you mean? If what you meant was from her rear and in her vagina, then yes. But if what you meant was from her rear and in her anus, then no. Verily Allaah is not ashamed of the truth - do not enter your wives in their anuses!" [as-Shaafi, al-Baihaqi and others: Saheeh]

Fourth: "Allaah does not look at one who comes to his wife in her anus". [an-Nasaa'ee: Hasan isnaad and supported in "al-'Ishrah"; at-Tirmidhee and Ibn Hibbaan].

Fifth: "Cursed are those who come to their wives in their anuses." [Aboo Dawood, Ahmad and others with hasan isnaad and is supported].

Sixth: "Whoever has sexual intercourse with a mentruating woman, or a woman in her anus, or approaches a soothsayer and believes what he is told has disbelieved in that which was revealed to Muhammad. [Aboo Dawood, at-Tirmidhee and others: Saheeh].

7. Making Wudhuu' between 2 acts with one's wife

When a Muslim man has had sexual intercourse with his wife in the legal manner and then wishes to return another time, he should first perform wudhuu', based on the statement of the Prophet : "When one of you comes to his wife and then wishes to return another time, let him perform wudhuu' between the 2 times (In another version, the same wudhuu' which he performs for prayer) for verily, it will invigorate his return."[Muslim, Ibn Abi Shaibah and others].

8. Bathing is preferable

Bathing, however, is preferable to merely making wudhuu' in such situations. Abu Raafi' narrates: "That the Prophet made the rounds of all his wives one night, bathing in the house of each one. He (i.e. the narrator) asked the Prophet: "Couldn't you have just bathed once (i.e. at the end)? The Prophet answered : "This way is purer, cleaner and better". [Aboo Daawood, an-Nasaa'ee: Hasan in "al-'Ishrah", and others].

9. The Bathing of Husband and Wife together

It is permissible for the husband and wife to bath together in the same place even though he sees her private parts, and she sees his. This is established by a number of authentic hadith, among them:

On the authority of 'Aa'ishah (radiallahu anha) who said: "I used to bathe with the Prophet from a single container of water which was placed between us such that our hands collided inside it. He used to race me such that I would say: `Leave some for me, leave some for me!' She added: `We were in a state of Janaba (i.e. the state of having slept together).'"[Al-Bukharee and Muslim].

On the authority of Mu'aawiya ibn Haida, who said: "I said: `O Messenger of Allaah, which of our nakedness is allowed, and of which must we beware?' The Prophet answered, "Guard your nakedness excpet from your wife or those whom your right hand possesses." (So it is permissible for both spouses to look at and touch the body of his or her companion even the private parts). He said: `O Messenger of Allah, what about if the relatives live together with each other?' The Prophet answered : "If you can make sure that no one ever sees your nakedness, then do so." He said: `O Messenger of Allah, what about when one is alone?' The Prophet said: "Allah is more deserving of your modesty than are the people"."[Ahmad, Abu Dawood, at-Tirmidhee and others: Saheeh].

10. Making Wudhuu' after Sex and before Sleeping

It is best for husband and wife not to sleep after having sex until they first perform wudhuu'. There are various hadith about this, among them:

First: On the authority of 'Aa'shah who said: "Whenever the Prophet wished to sleep or eat while in a state of Janaba (i.e. after having sex and before bathing), he would wash his private parts and perform wudhuu' as for prayer." [Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim].

Second: On the authority of Ibn 'Umar who said: "O Messenger of Allah, should we go to sleep in a state of janaba?" The Prophet answered: "Yes, after making wudhuu." [Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim]. In another version: "Perform wudhuu' and wash your private parts, and then sleep." [Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim]. And, in another version: "Yes, you can perform wudhuu', sleep, and bathe whenever you want." [Muslim and al-Baihaqi]. And, in still another version: "Yes, and perform wudhuu' if you wish." (This last version proves that this wudhuu' is not obligatory.) [Ibn Khuzima and Ibn Hibban: Saheeh].

Third: On the authority of 'Ammaar ibn Yaasir, the Prophet said: "There are three which the angels will never approach: The corpse of a disbeliever; a man who wears perfume of women; and, one who has had sex until he performs wudhuu'." [Abu Dawood, Ahmad and others: Hasan].

11. The Ruling of this Wudhuu'

This wudhuu' is not obligatory, but is very highly and definitely commendable. This (i.e. its not being obligatory) is based on the hadith narrated by 'Umar in which he asked the Prophet: "Should we go to sleep in a state of janaba?" To which the Prophet answered: "Yes, and perform wudhuu' if you wish." [Ibn Hibbaan: Saheeh]. This is also supported by other hadith, among them a hadith narrated by 'Aa'ishah who said: "The Prophet used to sleep in a state of janaba without having touched water, until he would get up later and bathe." [Ibn Abi Shaiba, at-Tirmidhee, Abu Daawood and others: Saheeh].

In another version narrated by 'Aa'ishah , she said: ""He used to spend the night in a state of janaba until Bilal came in the morning to make the adhaan. Then, he would get up, bathe while I looked at the water dripping from his head, and go out. Then, I would hear his voice in the Fajr prayer. Then, he would remain fasting." Mutarrif said: "I said to Aamir: In the month of Ramadhaan?" He said: "Yes, in Ramadhaan and in other than Ramadhaan." [Ibn Abi Shaiba, Ahmad and others: Saheeh].

12. Making Tayammum in a state of Janaba instead of Wudhuu'

It is also permissible to make Tayammum sometimes instead of wudhuu' before sleeping. This is based on a hadith of 'Aa'ishah in which she said: "When the Prophet was in a state of janaba and wished to sleep, he used to make wudhuu' or Tayammum." [Al-Baihaqi: Hasan]

13. Bathing before Sleeping is Perferable

Bathing however, is perferable to any of the above-mentioned possibilities as is clear in the hadith of `Abullaah ibn Qais who said: "I asked 'Ai'ishah : "What did the Prophet do when in a state of janaba? Did he bathe before sleeping or sleep before bathing?" She answered: "He did all of those things. Sometimes he bathe and then slept. And sometimes he performed wudhuu' and then slept." I said: "Praise be to Allah who made things flexible."[Muslim, Ahmad and Abu `Auwaana].

14. The Prohibition of sex when She is Menstruating

It is forbidden for a Muslim man to have sexual intercourse with his wife when she is menstruating. This is clear in the following verse of the Qur'an:

"They ask thee concerning women's courses. Say: They

are a hurt and a pollution: So keep away from women in

their courses, and do not approach them until they are

clean. But when they have purified themselves, ye may

approach them in any manner, time, or place ordained for

you by Allah. For Allah loves those who turn to Him

constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure

and clean." [Al-Baqarah, 2:222]

There are also hadith about this, among them:

First: "Whoever has sexual intercourse with a menstruating woman, or a woman in her anus, or approaches a soothsayer and believes what he is told has disbelieved in that which was revealed to Muhammad."

Second: On the authority of Anas ibn Malik, who said: "When one of their women has their period, the Jews used to put her out of the house, and they would not eat, drink, or sleep with her in the house. The Prophet was asked about this, and Allaah revealed the verse:

"They ask thee concerning women's courses. Say: They are a

hurt and a pollution: so keep away from women in their courses, ...

Then the Prophet said: "Be with them in the house, and do everything except for intercourse itself." The Jews said: "This man wants to leave nothing which we do without doing something different." Then, Asyad ibn Hudair said: "O Messenger of Allah, verily the Jews says such-and-such, shoudl we not then have sexual intercourse during menstruation?" The Prophet's face changed such that they thought that he was enraged with them, so they left. As they were coming out, they saw a gift of milk being brought to the Prophet. The Prophet then sent someone after them to give them a drink of milk, so they felt that he was not actually angry with them." [Muslim, Abu 'Auwaana and Abu Daawood].

15. The Penitence of One who Has Sex during Menses

Whoever is overcome by desire and has sexual intercourse with his wife when she is menstruating and before she becomes clean must give the value of one dinar's weight of gold or about 4.25 grams (4.2315 to be more precise), or half that amount. This is based on a hadith narrated by 'Abdullaah ibn 'Abbaas from the Prophet in relation to one who enters his wife while she is on her period as follows: "Let him give one dinar in charity, or one half dinar." [At-Tirmidhee, Abu Dawood, At-Tabaraani and others: Saheeh].

16. What is Permissible when She is on her Periods

It is allowed for him to enjoy pleasure with his wife in any way except for her private parts when she is on her period. There are several hadiths about this:

First: "and do everything except intercourse itself." [Muslim, Abu 'Auwaana and Aboo Daawood]

Second: On the authority of 'Aa'ishah who said: "When we were on our periods, the Prophet used to order us to put on a waist cloth that her husband can then lie with her." One time she said: "... her husband can then fondle and caress her." [al-Bukhaaree, Muslims and others].

Third: On the authority of one of the wives of the Prophet who said: "When the Prophet wanted something from one of his wives who was on her period, he put a cloth over her private parts, and then did whatever he wanted." [Abo Daawood: Saheeh]

17. When is it Allowed to resume Sexual Activity after Menses?

When she becomes clean of any menstrual blood, and the flow stops completely, it is allowed for them to resume sexual activity after she washes the place where the blood had been, or performs wudhuu', or takes a complete bath. Whichever of these three alternatives she does makes it allowed for them to resume sexual activity, based on Allaah's statement in the Qur'an:

"But when they have purified themselves, ye may

approach them in any manner, time, or place ordained for you

by Allah. For Allah loves those who turn to Him

constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean."

[Al-Baqarah 2:222]

This is the position of Ibn Hazm, 'Ataa, Qatadah, al-Awzaa'ee and Daawud az-Zaahiree and of Mujaahid: as Ibn Hazm says: "All three of these are a purification - so whichever of them she uses after the cessation of her periods, then she is lawful for her husband."

The same term is used to mean washing the private parts in the Aayah revealed concerning the people of Qubaa:

"In it are men who love to be purified; and Allah loves

those who make themselves pure." [at-Tawbah 9:108]

There is nothing here in the Aayah however, or in the Sunnah, to restrict the Aayah in question to any of the three meanings - and to do so requires a further proof.

18. The Lawfulness of Coitus Interruptus

(Withdrawl of the penis from the vagina at the time of ejaculation with the purpose of avoiding impregnation. This can be done only with the permission of one's wife).

It is allowed for a Muslim man to practise coitus interruptus with his wife. There are several hadith about this:

First: On the authority of Jaabir who said: "We were practising coitus interruptus, and the Qur'an was being revealed." [al-Bukhaaree and Muslim]. In another version, he said: "We used to practise coitus interruptus in the lifetime of the Prophet. This reached the Prophet, and he did not prohibit us from doing it." [Muslim, an-Nasaa'ee and at-Tirmidhee].

Second: On the authority of Abu Sa'eed al-Khudhriy, who said: "A man came to the Prophet and said: "I have a young girl (right-hand possession), and I practise coitus interruptus with her. I want that which men want, but the Jews claim that coitus interruptus is minor infanticide." The Prophet said: "The Jews have lied, the Jews have lied. If Allaah wished to create a child, you would not be able to prevent it." [An-Naasaa'ee in al-'Ishrah: Abu Dawood and others: Saheeh].

Third: On the authority of Jaabir, a man came to the Prophet and said: "I have a slave girl who serves us and waters our date trees. Sometimes I go to her, but I dislike that she should become pregnant by me". The Prophet said: "use coitus interruptus if you like, but whatever has been ordained for her will come." After some time, the man again came to the Prophet and said: "She has become pregnant!" The Prophettold him: "I told you that whatever has been ordained for her will come." [Muslim, Abu Dawood and others].

19. It is Preferrable not to Practice Coitus Interruptus.

Not practising coitus interruptus is preferable for a number of reasons:

First: It is harmful for the woman, since it reduces her pleasure by cutting it short. If she agrees to it, it still contains the following negetive points.

Second: It negates part of the purpose of marriage which is enlarging the Muslim nation through offspring, as in the statement of the Prophet: "Marry the loving and fertile, for I will compete with the other Prophets with the number of my followers." [Abu Dawood, an-Nasaa'ee and others: Saheeh]. This is why the Prophet once referred to it as "minor infanticide" (and not because it is forbidden as infanticide is forbidden) when asked about it saying: "That is minor infanticide". [Muslim, Ahmad and al-Baihaqi]. For this was preferable in the hadith narrated by Abu Sa'eed al-Khudhriy saying: "Coitus Interruptus was mentioned in the presence of the Prophet and he said: "Why would one of you do that? (note he did not say "let none of you do that") Allah is the Creator of every single soul." [Muslim]. In another version, he said: "You act and you act. There are no people destined to be from now until the day of Qiyama but that all of them will be." [Muslim]

20. What the two Spouses should Intend with their Marriage

Both spouses should enter into marriage with the following intentions: freeing themselves of unfulfilled sexual desires, and protecting themselves from falling into that which Allaah has forbidden (i.e. adultery and fornication). What's more, a reward as the reward for sadaqa (voluntary giving of charity) is recorded for them every time they have sex. This is based on the following hadith of the Prohpet narrated by Abu Dharr: "Some of the companions of the Prophet said to him: 'O Messenger of Allaah, the affluent among us have taken the rewards (of the hereafter)! They pray as we pray, fast as we fast, and then they give charity from the surplus of their wealth!" The Prophet said: "Did Allaah not make for you that from which you can give sadaqa? Verily for every time you say Subhannallah (Exalted is Allah) there is a sadaqa, and for every time you say Allahuakbar (Allah is Most Great) there is a sadaqa, and for every time you say Al-Hamdulillah (Praise is to Allah) there is sadaqa, and in every act of enjoining what is right there is sadaqa, and in every act of forbidding what is wrong there is a sadaqa, and in your sexual relations there is a sadaqa." The Companions said: "O Messenger of Allaah , is there a reward for one of us when he satisfies his sexual desire?" The Prophet said: "Don't you see, if he had satisfied it with the forbidden, would there not have been a sin upon him?" They said: "Why, yes! He said: "In the same way, when he satisfies it with that which is lawful, there is for him in that a reward." [Muslim, an-Nasaa'ee in al-'Ishrah, and Ahamd].

21. What he should do the Morning After His Wedding Night

It is desireable for the husband to go to his relatives who came to visit him in his house, on the following morning, to give them greetings and pray for them. It is also desireable for them to do likewise for him, as in the following hadith narrated by Anas : "The Messenger of Allaah gave a feast on the morning of his wedding night with Zainab, at which he fed the Muslims to satisfaction on bread and meat. Then, he went out to the Mothers of the Believers (i.e. to his other wives), gave them greetings and prayed for them, which they returned in kind. This is the way he used to do on the morning after a wedding night." [Ibn Sa'd and an-Nasaa'ee: Saheeh].

22. The House must have a Place for Bathing

The married couple must have a place to bathe in their house, and the husband must not allow his wife to go to the public bath houses. This is forbidden, and there are various hadith about it, among them:

First: On the authority of Jaabir who said: "The Prophet said: "Whoever believes in Allaah and the Last Day, let him not allow his wife to go to the Public baths. Whoever believes in Allaah and the Last Day, let him not go to the baths except with a waist-cloth. And whoever believes in Allaah and the Last Day, let him never sit at a table at which intoxicants are being circulated." [Al-Haakim, at-Tirmidhee and others: Saheeh]

Second: On the authority of Umm ad-Dardaa' who said: "I came out of the public bath and I met Allaah's Messenger who said to me: 'From where have you come O Umm Dardaa'?' I said: 'From the baths'. Then he said: "By the One in whose hand is my soul, every woman who removes her clothes anywhere except the house of one of her mothers has torn down all that veils her before ar-Rahman." [Ahmad : Saheeh]

Third: On the authority of Abu al-Maleeh who said: "Some women from Ash-Shaam entered upon 'Aa'ishah and said: "Where are you from?" The women answered: "We are of the people of Ash-Shaam (the area of present-day Syria)." 'Aa'ishah said: "Are you perhaps from that district which allows its women to enter the public baths?" The said: "Yes". She said: "As for me, I heard the Messenger of Allaah say: "Every woman who removes her clothes other than in her house has torn down all veils of modesty between herself and Allaah." [at-Tirmidhee, Abu Dawood and others: Saheeh]

23. The Prohibition of Spreading Bedroom Secrets

It is forbidden for either the husband or the wife to spread any of the secrets of their bedroom to anyone outside. The following two hadith are about this:

First: "Verily among the worst people before Allaah on the Day of Judgement is a man who approaches his wife sexually and she responds and then he spreads her secrets." [Muslim, Ibn Abi Shaiba, Ahmad and others].

Second: "On the authority of Asmaa bint Yazid who narrated "that she was once in the presence of the Prophet and there were both men and women sitting. The Prophet then said: "Perhaps a man might discuss what he does with his wife, or perhaps a woman might inform someone what she did with her husband?" The people were silent. Then I said: "O, Yes! O Messenger of Allaah verily both the women and men do that." Then the Prophet said: "Do not do that. It is like a male shaitaan who meets a female shaitaan along the way, and has sex with her while the people look on!" [Ahmad: Hasan or Saheeh due to supports]

24. The Obligation of a Wedding Feast

The husband must sponsor a feast after the consummation of the marriage. This is based on the order of the Prophet to 'Abur-Rahman ibn 'Auf to do so, and on the hadith narrated by Buraida ibn At-Haseeb, who said: "When 'Ali sought the hand of Faatimah (the Prophet's daughter) in marraige, he said that the Prophet said: "A wedding (and in another version "a bridegroom") must have a feast." The narrator said: "Sa'ad said: '(a feast) of a sheep.' Someone else said: 'Of such and such a quantity of corn." [Ahmad and at-Tabaraani: Its isnaad is acceptable as al-Haafiz Ibn Hajr says in Fathul-Baaree: 9/188]

25. The Sunnah of the Wedding Feast

The following should be observed with regard to the wedding banquet:

First: It should be held ('aqb - Fathul Baaree: 9/242-244) three days after the first wedding night, since this is the tradition of the Prophet which has reached us. On the authority of Anas who said: "The Prophet entered upon his wife and sent me to invite some men for food." [al-Bukhaaree and al-Baihaqi]. Also on the authority of Anas, he said: "The Prophet married Safiya, and her freedom was her dowry. He gave the feast for three days." [Abu Ya'laa and others: Hasan].

Second: One should invite the righteous to his banquet whether they be rich or poor. The Prophet said: "Do not be the friend of any except believers, and have only the pious eat your food." [Abu Dawood, at-Tirmidhee and others: Saheeh].

Third: If one is able, he should have a feast of one or more sheep. Based on the following hadith, Anas said: "Abdur-Rahmaan came to al-Madeenah, and the Prophet assigned Sa'ad ibn Ar-Rabee' al-Ansaariy as his brother. Sa'ad took him to his house, called for food, and they both ate. The Sa'ad said: "O my brother, I am the wealthiest of the people of al-Madeenah (in another version: "... of the Ansaar"), so look to half of my property and take it (in another version: "... and I will divide my garden in half"). Also, I have two wives (and you, my brother in Allaah, have no wife), so look to which of mine pleases you more, so I can divorce her for you. Then upon the completion of the prescribed waiting period, you may marry her." 'Abdur-Rahmaan said: "No, by Allaah, may Allah bless you in your family and your property. Show me the way to the market-place."And so they showed him the way to the market-place and he went there. He bought and he sold and he made a profit. In the evening , he came back to the people of his house with some dried milk for cooking and some ghee. After that some time elapsed, until he appeared one day with traces of saffron on his garments. The Prophet said to him: "What is this?" He said: "O Messenger of Allaah, I have married a woman among the Ansaar." The Prophet answered: "What did you give her for her dowry?" He answered: "The weight of five dirhams in gold." Then, the Prophet said: "May Allaah bless you, give a feast if only with one sheep." 'Abdur-Rahmaan said: "I have seen myself in such a state that if I were to lift a stone, I would expect to find some gold or silver under it." Anas said: "I saw after his death that each of his wives inherited one hundred thousand Dinars." [Al-Bukhaaree, an-Nasaa'ee and others].

Also on the authority of Anas he said: "I never saw the Prophet sponsor such a wedding feast as the one he gave for Zainab. He slaughtered a sheep and fed everyone meat and bread until they ate no more." [Al-Bukhaaree, Muslim and others].

26. Wedding Feasts can be give with Other than Meat

It is allowed to give the wedding banquet with any food which is available and affordable, even if that does not include meat. This is based on the following hadith narrated by Anas: "The Prophet stayed between Khaibar and al-Madeenah for three days during which he had entered with his wife Safiya . Then I invited the Muslims to his Wedding feast. There was neither meat nor bread at his feast. Rather, leather eating mats were brought out and on them were placed dates, dried milk, and clarified butter. The people ate their fill." [Al-Bukhaaree, Muslim and others].

27. Participation of the Wealthy in the Feast with their Wealth

It is commendable for the wealthy to help in the preparations for the wedding feast based on the hadith narrated by Anas about the Prophet's marriage to Safiya: "Then, when we were on the road, Umm Sulaim prepared her (Safiya) for him (the Prophet and brought her to him at night, and so the the Prophet awoke the next morning a new bridgegroom. Then he said: "Whoever has something, let him bring it." (In another version, he said "Whoever has an excess of provisions, let him bring it.") Anas continues: "And so the leather eating mats were spread out and one man would bring dried milk, another dates and another clarified butter and so they made Hais (hais is a mixture of the above three things). The people then ate of this hais and drank from pools of rainwater which were nearby, and that was the wedding feast of the Prophet." [Al-Bukhaaree, Muslims and others].

A stallion is a male horse that has not been gelded (castrated). Stallions follow the conformation and phenotype of their breed, but within that standard, the presence of hormones such as testosterone may give stallions a thicker, "cresty" neck, as well as a somewhat more muscular physique as compared to female horses, known as mares, and castrated males, called geldings.

Temperament varies widely based on genetics, and training, but because of their instincts as herd animals, they may be prone to aggressive behavior, particularly toward other stallions, and thus require careful management by knowledgeable handlers. With proper training and management, stallions are effective equine athletes at the highest levels of many disciplines, including horse racing, horse shows, and international Olympic competition.

"Stallion" is also used to refer to males of other equids, including zebras and donkeys.

Herd behavior

Fillies usually soon join a different band with a dominant stallion different from the one that sired them. Colts or young stallions without mares of their own usually form small, all-male, "bachelor bands" in the wild. Living in a group gives these stallions the social and protective benefits of living in a herd. A bachelor herd may also contain older stallions who have lost their herd in a challenge.

Reproductive anatomy

The external genitalia comprise:

the testes, which are suspended horizontally within the scrotum. The testes of an average stallion are ovoids 8 to 12 cm (3.1 to 4.7 in) long, 6 to 7 cm (2.4 to 2.8 in) high by 5 cm (2.0 in) wide;

the penis, within the "penile sheath". Stallions have a vascular penis. When non-erect, it is quite flaccid and contained within the sheath. The retractor penis muscle is relatively underdeveloped. Erection and protrusion take place gradually, by the increasing tumescence of the erectile vascular tissue in the corpus cavernosum penis. When not erect, the penis is housed within the prepuce, 50 cm (20 in) long and 2.5 to 6 cm (0.98 to 2.36 in) in diameter with the distal end 15 to 20 cm (5.9 to 7.9 in). The retractor muscle contracts to retract the penis into the sheath and relaxes to allow the penis to extend from the sheath. When erect, the penis doubles in length and thickness and the glans increases by three to four times. The urethra opens within the urethral fossa, a small pouch at the distal end of the glans. A structure called the urethral process projects beyond the glans.

The internal genitalia comprise the accessory sex glands, which include the vesicular glands, the prostate gland and the bulbourethral glands. These contribute fluid to the semen at ejaculation, but are not strictly necessary for fertility.

Management and handling of domesticated stallions

Domesticated stallions are trained and managed in a variety of ways, depending on the region of the world, the owner's philosophy, and the individual stallion's temperament. In all cases, however, stallions have an inborn tendency to attempt to dominate both other horses and human handlers, and will be affected to some degree by proximity to other horses, especially mares in heat. They must be trained to behave with respect toward humans at all times or else their natural aggressiveness, particularly a tendency to bite, may pose a danger of serious injury.

The advantage of natural types of management is that the stallion is allowed to behave "like a horse" and may exhibit fewer stable vices. In a harem model, the mares may "cycle" or achieve estrus more readily. Proponents of natural management also assert that mares are more likely to "settle" (become pregnant) in a natural herd setting. Some stallion managers keep a stallion with a mare herd year-round, others will only turn a stallion out with mares during the breeding season.

In some places, young domesticated stallions are allowed to live separately in a "bachelor herd" while growing up, kept out of sight, sound or smell of mares. A Swiss study demonstrated that even mature breeding stallions kept well away from other horses could live peacefully together in a herd setting if proper precautions were taken while the initial herd hierarchy was established.

As an example, in the New Forest, England, breeding stallions run out on the open Forest for about two to three months each year with the mares and youngstock. On being taken off the Forest, many of them stay together in bachelor herds for most of the rest of the year. New Forest stallions, when not in their breeding work, take part on the annual round-ups, working alongside mares and geldings, and compete successfully in many disciplines.

There are drawbacks to natural management, however. One is that the breeding date, and hence foaling date, of any given mare will be uncertain. Another problem is the risk of injury to the stallion or mare in the process of natural breeding, or the risk of injury while a hierarchy is established within an all-male herd. Some stallions become very anxious or temperamental in a herd setting and may lose considerable weight, sometimes to the point of a health risk. Some may become highly protective of their mares and thus more aggressive and dangerous to handle. There is also a greater risk that the stallion may escape from a pasture or be stolen. Stallions may break down fences between adjoining fields to fight another stallion or mate with the "wrong" herd of mares, thus putting the pedigree of ensuing foals in question.

Complete isolation has significant drawbacks; stallions may develop additional behavior problems with aggression due to frustration and pent-up energy. As a general rule, a stallion that has been isolated from the time of weaning or sexual maturity will have a more difficult time adapting to a herd environment than one allowed to live close to other animals. As horses are instinctively social creatures, even stallions are believed to benefit from being allowed social interaction with other horses, though proper management and cautions are needed.

Properly trained stallions can live and work close to mares and to one another. Examples include the Lipizzan stallions of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Austria, where the entire group of stallions live part-time in a bachelor herd as young colts, then are stabled, train, perform, and travel worldwide as adults with few if any management problems. Even stallions who are unfamiliar with each other can work safely in reasonable proximity if properly trained; the vast majority of Thoroughbred horses on the racetrack are stallions, as are many equine athletes in other forms of competition. Stallions are often shown together in the same ring at horse shows, particularly in halter classes where their conformation is evaluated. In horse show performance competition, stallions and mares often compete in the same arena with one another, particularly in Western and English "pleasure"-type classes where horses are worked as a group. Overall, stallions can be trained to keep focused on work and may be brilliant performers if properly handled.

A breeding stallion is more apt to present challenging behavior to a human handler than one who has not bred mares, and stallions may be more difficult to handle in spring and summer, during the breeding season, than during the fall and winter. Some stallions are used for both equestrian uses and for breeding at the same general time of year. Though compromises may need to be made in expectations for both athletic performance and fertility rate, well-trained stallions with good temperaments can be taught that breeding behavior is only allowed in a certain area, or with certain cues, equipment, or with a particular handler.

Geldings

If a stallion is not to be used for breeding, castrating (gelding) the male horse will allow it to live full-time in a herd with both males and females, reduce aggressive or disruptive behavior, and allow the horse to be around other animals without being seriously distracted. If a horse is not to be used for breeding, it can be gelded prior to reaching sexual maturity. A horse gelded young may grow taller and behave better if this is done. Older stallions that are sterile or otherwise no longer used for breeding may also be gelded and will exhibit calmer behavior, even if previously used for breeding. However, they are more likely to continue stallion-like behaviors than horses gelded at a younger age, especially if they have been used as a breeding stallion. Modern surgical techniques allow castration to be performed on a horse of almost any age with relatively few risks.

In most cases, particularly in modern industrialized cultures, a male horse that is not of sufficient quality to be used for breeding will have a happier life without having to deal with the instinctive, hormone-driven behaviors that come with being left intact. Geldings are safer to handle and present fewer management problems.

Some in the animal rights community maintains that castration is mutilation and damaging to the animal's psyche.

Ridglings

A ridgling or "rig" is a cryptorchid, a stallion which has one or both testicles undescended. If both testicles are not descended, the horse may appear to be a gelding, but will still behave like a stallion. A gelding that displays stallion-like behaviors is sometimes called a "false rig". In many cases, ridglings are infertile, or have fertility levels that are significantly reduced. The condition is most easily corrected by gelding the horse. A more complex and costly surgical procedure can sometimes correct the condition and restore the animal's fertility, though it is only cost-effective for a horse that has very high potential as a breeding stallion. This surgery generally removes the non-descended testicle, leaving the descended testicle, and creating a horse known as a monorchid stallion. Keeping cryptorchids or surgically-created monorchids as breeding stallions is controversial, as the condition is at least partially genetic and some handlers claim that cryptorchids tend to have greater levels of behavioral problems than normal stallions.

Beautiful Italian actress Ornella Muti (1955) often appeared in sexy Italian comedies and dramas, but she also worked for such major European directors as Marco Ferreri, Francesco Rosi and Volker Schlöndorff. English language audiences probably know her best as the sensuous Princess Aura in Flash Gordon (1980).

Ornella Muti was born in Rome in 1955 as Francesca Romana Rivelli. Her Neapolitan father was a journalist. Her mother, Ilse Renate Krause, was a Russian Baltic German sculptor from Estonia. Her maternal grandparents emigrated from Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg, Russia) to Estonia. Ornella has an older sister, Claudia Rivera, who was a soap actress in the 1970s. As a teenager, the beauty with the cat-like blue eyes modelled and posed for illustrated novels. At 15, she made her film debut in the romantic melodrama La moglie più bella / The Most Beautiful Wife (Damiano Damiani, 1970). In the following years, she starred in such Giallos (Italian erotic thrillers) as Un posto ideale per uccidere / Oasis of Fear (Umberto Lenzi, 1971) with Irene Papas, and erotic dramas as Appasionata / Passionate (Gian Luigi Calderone, 1974) with Valentina Cortese. In Romanzo popolare / Come Home and Meet My Wife (Mario Monicelli, 1974), she married her 33 years older godfather (Ugo Tognazzi). Her international breakthrough was as the girlfriend of Gérard Depardieu in Marco Ferreri’s shocking psychological drama La dernière femme / The Last Woman (Marco Ferreri, 1976) about a man who mutilates himself drastically when the custody of his nine-month-old son is threatened. The role lead to more interesting films with well known directors including La Stanza Del Vescovo / The Bishop's Bedroom (Dino Risi, 1977) opposite Ugo Tognazi, Ritratto di Borghesia in Nero / Nest of Vipers (Tonino Cervi, 1977) with Senta Berger, and in France, Muti starred with Alain Delon in the crime thriller Mort d'un Pourri / Death of a Corrupt Man (George Lautner, 1977). I Nuovi Mostri / Viva Italia (Mario Monicelli, Dino Risi, Ettore Scola, 1979) with Vittorio Gassman, was a black comedy, comprised of nine short stories all related to the theme that most men are selfish cads. The film was nominated for the Oscar for Best Foreign Film. In America, the film was promoted by a poster with Muti in a swimsuit and a critic’s quote: “Ornella Muti is the best filled thing from Italy since ravioli.”

Ornella Muti made her British film debut as Princess Aura in Flash Gordon (Mike Hodges, 1980), based on the classic space opera adventure comic strip by Alex Raymond. In the 1930s, this comic strip had been the basis for a more straight-faced adventure serial. In the new Dino De Laurentiis production, Flash's story was mined for exaggerated, cartoon humour by screenwriter Lorenzo Semple Jr., who had been a central figure in the similarly campy 1960s Batman TV series. The sets are spectacular, and the rock score by Queen is appropriately over-the-top. Ornella Muti shines as the luscious princess of the planet Mongo who tries to lure the blonde hero (Sam J. Jones). IMDb reviewer colleran-2: “Ornella Muti is simply unbelievable as Ming's gorgeous but deadly daughter. Replying to Flash's query as to whether he can use the telepathy machine to contact Dale with a perfectly candid, ‘If I showed you how. But I'm not going to’.” Back in Italy, she appeared with Adriano Celentano in the comedy Il bisbetico domato / The Taming of the Scoundrel (Franco Castellano, Giuseppe Moccia, 1980), and with Giancarlo Giannini in the Russian-Italian drama La vita è bella / Life is Beautiful (Grigori Chukhrai, 1981). Then followed one of Muti’s greatest successes, Storie di ordinaria follia / Tales of Ordinary Madness (Marco Ferreri, 1981), an adaptation of Charles Bukowski's roman à clef 'Erections, Ejaculations, Exhibitions and General Tales of Ordinary Madness'. Nathan Southern at AllMovie: “Ben Gazzara delivers a gutsy, four-barreled performance as skid-row poet and storyteller Charles Bukowski (rechristened Charles Serking onscreen) (...); he eventually falls for a prostitute (Muti) who can express her affection only via self-mutilation. Ferreri lets Bukowski's ribald humour flow throughout and exposes the dark erotic currents at the heart of the author's narratives.” The film's success led to the belated release of the Hollywood production Love and Money (James Toback, 1982) with Muti prominently on the poster. The film had already been completed in 1980, but was shelved. She co-starred in Un amour de Swann / Swann in Love (Volker Schlöndorf, 1984), an ambitious attempt to film a portion of Marcel Proust's epic novel Remembrance of Things Past with Jeremy Irons as Charles Swann. Television fans could see her in the TV movie Casanova (Simon Langton, 1987), featuring Richard Chamberlain. That year, she also starred in the Gabriel García Márquez adaptation Cronaca di una morte annunciate / Chronicle of a Death Foretold (Francesco Rosi, 1987) opposite Rupert Everett.

One of Ornella Muti’s most beautiful films is Wait Until Spring Bandini (Dominique Deruddere, 1990), based on a novel by John Fante and produced by Francis Coppola’s Zoetrope production. This small-scale film follows the trials of the Bandini family as they try to struggle through hard times in 1920s Colorado. Muti plays the anxious mother, wife of Joe Mantegna. Her other English language films include the Sylvester Stallone comedy Oscar (John Landis, 1991) and another comedy flop, Once Upon a Crime (Eugene Levy, 1992) with John Candy. In Italy, she appeared in the historical comedy Il viaggio di Capitan Fracassa / Captain Fracassa's Journey (Ettore Scola, 1990) with Vincent Perez, and loads of forgettable films. In France she fared better and appeared in the thriller L'Inconnu de Strasbourg / The Unknown of Strasbourg (Valeria Sarmiento, 1998), director Lucas Belvaux's trilogy: Cavale / Trilogy: One (2002) - Un couple épatant / Trilogy: Two (2002) - Après la vie/Trilogy: Three (2002), and the comedy Les Bronzes 3: Amis Pour La Vie / Les Bronzes 3: Friends Forever (Patrice Leconte, 2006), but Ornella Muti is probably best known for a TV commercial of Giovanni Panzani pasta. Ornella Muti has been married twice, to Alessio Orano, her fellow actor in La moglie più bella / The Most Beautiful Wife (1975–1981), and Federico Facchinetti (1988–1996). Muti has three children. She has a daughter by Spanish film producer José Luis Bermúdez de Castro, Naike Rivelli (1974). Naike is also a model and actress and has a close resemblance to her mother. Muti also has a son, actor Andrea Facchinetti, and a second daughter, Carolina Facchinetti, both from her second marriage. In 1996, her first grandchild, Akash, was born, a son of Naike. A second grandson named Alessandro followed from Carolina. From 1998 to 2008, Muti lived with Stefano Piccolo, a plastic surgeon. Since 2008, her partner has been Fabrice Kerhervé. In 2008, Ornella Muti introduced her own line of jewellery. She opened new shops in Paris, Milan, Rome, Riga, Moscow and Almaty. She is also still active in the cinema. She appeared in Peter Greenaway’s The Tulse Luper Suitcases, Part 3: From Sark to the Finish (2003) with Roger Rees, The Tulse Luper Suitcases, Part 2: Vaux to the Sea (2004), and Peopling the Palaces at Venaria Reale (2007). She co-starred with Western icon Terence Hill and Paul Sorvino in the Spaghetti Western Doc West / Triggerman (Terence Hill, Giulio Base, 2008) and was part of the ensemble cast of Woody Allen's mediocre romantic comedy To Rome with Love (Woody Allen, 2012). In 2015, an Italian court sentenced Muti to eight months in prison or pay a fine of 30,000 euros for faking a medical certificate and skipping a play in which she was performing in 2010, to have dinner with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and several celebrities at a charity event held in St Petersburg, Russia. In 2016 and again in 2022, she announced the intention to also have a Russian citizenship. Muti owns a permanent residence in Moscow, Russia. She told TASS: "It would be nice for me to get citizenship, because it is part of my culture associated with my mother. She died this year, and it would be a gift for her." Ornella Muti can be seen in the upcoming film Roma elastica (2026), written and directed by Bertrand Mandico and starring Marion Cotillard.

SEE IT IN BLACK

Rule One - You will receive a body. Whether you love it or hate it, it's yours for life, so accept it. What counts is what's inside.

Rule Two - You will be presented with lessons. Life is a constant learning experience, which every day provides opportunities for you to learn more. These lessons specific to you, and learning them 'is the key to discovering and fulfilling the meaning and relevance of your own life'.

Rule Three - There are no mistakes, only lessons. Your development towards wisdom is a process of experimentation, trial and error, so it's inevitable things will not always go to plan or turn out how you'd want. Compassion is the remedy for harsh judgement - of ourselves and others. Forgiveness is not only divine - it's also 'the act of erasing an emotional debt'. Behaving ethically, with integrity, and with humour - especially the ability to laugh at yourself and your own mishaps - are central to the perspective that 'mistakes' are simply lessons we must learn.

..more-->

Rule Four - The lesson is repeated until learned. Lessons repeat until learned. What manifest as problems and challenges, irritations and frustrations are more lessons - they will repeat until you see them as such and learn from them. Your own awareness and your ability to change are requisites of executing this rule. Also fundamental is the acceptance that you are not a victim of fate or circumstance - 'causality' must be acknowledged; that is to say: things happen to you because of how you are and what you do. To blame anyone or anything else for your misfortunes is an escape and a denial; you yourself are responsible for you, and what happens to you. Patience is required - change doesn't happen overnight, so give change time to happen.

Rule Five - Learning does not end. While you are alive there are always lessons to be learned. Surrender to the 'rhythm of life', don't struggle against it. Commit to the process of constant learning and change - be humble enough to always acknowledge your own weaknesses, and be flexible enough to adapt from what you may be accustomed to, because rigidity will deny you the freedom of new possibilities.

Rule Six - "There" is no better than "here". The other side of the hill may be greener than your own, but being there is not the key to endless happiness. Be grateful for and enjoy what you have, and where you are on your journey. Appreciate the abundance of what's good in your life, rather than measure and amass things that do not actually lead to happiness. Living in the present helps you attain peace.

Rule Seven - Others are only mirrors of you. You love or hate something about another person according to what love or hate about yourself. Be tolerant; accept others as they are, and strive for clarity of self-awareness; strive to truly understand and have an objective perception of your own self, your thoughts and feelings. Negative experiences are opportunities to heal the wounds that you carry. Support others, and by doing so you support yourself. Where you are unable to support others it is a sign that you are not adequately attending to your own needs.

Rule Eight - What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. Take responsibility for yourself. Learn to let go when you cannot change things. Don't get angry about things - bitter memories clutter your mind. Courage resides in all of us - use it when you need to do what's right for you. We all possess a strong natural power and adventurous spirit, which you should draw on to embrace what lies ahead.

Rule Nine - Your answers lie inside of you. Trust your instincts and your innermost feelings, whether you hear them as a little voice or a flash of inspiration. Listen to feelings as well as sounds. Look, listen, and trust. Draw on your natural inspiration.

Rule Ten - You will forget all this at birth. We are all born with all of these capabilities - our early experiences lead us into a physical world, away from our spiritual selves, so that we become doubtful, cynical and lacking belief and confidence. The ten Rules are not commandments, they are universal truths that apply to us all. When you lose your way, call upon them. Have faith in the strength of your spirit. Aspire to be wise - wisdom the ultimate path of your life, and it knows no limits other than those you impose on yourself.

How To Perform Fellatio

Whether you use the technical term fellatio or call it a blow job, going down on a man, or giving him head, performing fellatio is an act that requires a lot of trust and a little bit of knowledge. Social messages about fellatio suggest that guys love it so much they don’t care about technique. In reality there is a lot of variation in fellatio skills, and knowing how to read your partner, what to do to him, and when to do it can make all the difference…

Time Required: Fellatio can be fast and dirty or slow and seductive, no set time required.

Here's How:

1.Start him off nice and clean.

Social stigma seems to focus on the taste of women’s genitals more than men’s. In fact men can smell and taste just as strong as women. If you're new to fellatio, you might be worried about taste and smell. If so, suggest a sexy bath or shower together and start with a clean slate. You can also add a bit of flavored personal lubricant to his penis or put on a flavored condom, which is great for safer oral sex.

2.Physical comfort is key.

You can’t have fun and perform well if you’re not physically comfortable, and fellatio can put a strain on your neck and jaw. Kneeling before him on a pillow, while he’s standing or sitting, gives you good range of motion and plenty of access. If you’ve had bad experiences with fellatio where you felt lack of control, have him on his back and crouch in between his legs. Giving head can put you in a major power position, if you like that feeling then go for it.

3.Tease him with touch.

Using your hands first, gently caress his inner thighs, penis, testicles, and perineum, paying attention to his reactions (verbal and facial) as you touch certain spots. The most sensitive spot on a guy’s penis is the head (known as the glans), especially the frenulum, an indentation between the glans and the shaft on the underside of the penis. You might want to brush up on your knowledge of male sexual anatomy , to know what you’re working with.

4.Give him a lick.

Follow up with your tongue, exploring the same terrain using slow wide strokes with your tongue. Don’t be afraid to use lots of saliva, as this natural lube feels great and helps create friction and suction. There are many STDs that can be passed during fellatio, using flavored condoms is a great way to practice safer sex and deal with any taste you may not like. It is also a perfect way to get guys who say they have difficulty with condoms, to gladly put one on.

5.Take him in your mouth.

When he’s semi-erect, slowly guide your lips over the tip of his penis, making sure your lips cover your teeth as you slide gently down his shaft as far as you’re comfortable. Keep your mouth taut, as the pressure from your lips will feel great as they glide down the penis. Putting him in your mouth before he is fully erect is a good way of getting comfortable with the size of his penis, particularly if he is in the larger range.

6.Watch the gag reflex.

If you’re not adept at deep throat (taking the whole penis in your mouth), don’t try it or you’ll trigger the gag reflex. It’s not necessary and a similar effect can be achieved with the hand and mouth technique described below. With practice, you can learn to relax your gag reflex and take in more of the penis.

7.Use your mouth and tongue.

As your head travels up the underside of the penis, flatten your tongue so it gives his frenulum a nice wide, wet stroke. Don’t be afraid to try different types of licks or kisses—the lips feel good when popped over the ridge of the penis—but perform each stroke repeatedly before changing to give consistent pleasure.

8.Have fun with the foreskin.

If your partner is uncircumcised, insert your tongue into the foreskin and circle around the head with it. You can also use your fingers to gently massage the head through the foreskin, alternating with deep tongue licks.

9.Using your mouth and hand, tip #1.

A great blow job incorporates both hands and mouth. Place one hand around the shaft of his penis while you move up and down on the top half of his penis. Try coordinating your movements so your hand and mouth are going up and down in unison. If you're partner is thrusting, your hand will prevent his penis from being pushed too far into your mouth.

10.Using your mouth and hand, tip #2.

If he likes this combination, bring your hand all the way up the shaft (following your mouth), remove your mouth briefly, use your palm to slide and twist over the head (as if you were juicing an orange), and then glide your hand back down followed by your mouth again. Repeat.

11.Let him come.

When he’s ready to orgasm, keep your movements consistent and firm—don’t slack off. Once he starts ejaculating, see him through with a few strokes and then stop, as most men don’t want continued stimulation once they’ve ejaculated and had an orgasm.

12.To swallow or not to swallow?

This decision is entirely up to you. There's nothing wrong with you if you don't want to, but it's nice to let your partner know it's nothing personal. If you don't want to swallow, and you aren’t familiar with the signs of imminent ejaculation , let him know you want a warning. Remove your mouth as he's about to ejaculate, and continue hand stroking through his orgasm.

Tips:

1.Don’t forget the rest of his body. The scrotum and testicles (balls) are particularly sensitive, and most men like them to be stimulated. Try lightly licking or touching his testicles during oral sex. He might also like them to be cradled gently in one of your hands. Some men go wild when you place your hand around the top of the scrotum and gently tug down.

2.You can also apply pressure to his perineum (the spot between his anus and his penis) with one or two fingers, as this also can feel good.

3.He might like wearing a butt plug during fellatio for added prostate stimulation. Or you can apply pressure to his anus with one of your fingers.
