It was a real challenge to photograph these eggs. They are up high and I'm short. Did some climbing and stretching. it also was a blind shot. I still couldn't see the eggs. Stretching my arm up and over, after the 4th take, I finally got a decent picture.
I was surprised to see 4 eggs. Last year she had 3 and all 3 have grown up.
....on my kitchen windowsill..and yes, they are fresh,REAL brown eggs:))
Thanks for your lovely visits and continued support:))
For the next theme, on Saturday April 12, I would like you to take a picture of painted eggs OR someone painting eggs... I've called it "PAINTED/PAINTING EGGS".
Not only am I looking after 4 peregrine falcon eggs at work, now I have 4 robin eggs to watch at home.
(color photo converted to IR, then colorized)
I got these eggs from the Farmer's Market in Mountain View. The white ones on the bottom are duck eggs. The weird bluish one on the right is probably a chicken egg.

This shot was taken by using an air pistol to pop the egg. It was taken in the dark to get a 2 second exposure, using a flash (@ 1/128) as the shutter with the sound of the pistol triggering it.
I love all the colors! These were found at a local farmer's market for Easter... no need to dye the eggs!

No, this is not an early easter picture...
Every year around my birthday time (end of January) my gray parrot Charlie/Charlene donates me some eggs (she has no partner)... Here you can see this year's nest of eggs - interesting are the different sizes of the eggs... the red one is a chicken egg (for comparision).

I know, not so original, but I've always wanted one of my own! Teehee! ;)
So for the last week I've been really really moody. I don't know what's up with me and my emotions but it's kind of... errr. I don't know. One moment I'm happy and then the next thing you know I'm grumpy and cranky, then I'm happy again. I'm so sorry to everyone who got to see me like this. Frustrating mood swings. :( I hope you understand cause we all have days like that, except that I got it all week. Heehee! :)
Oh, I chose eggs cause they're fragile... like my emotions. Ew? :))
