The last 50 wild donkeys on Hawaii's Big Island will be rounded up to mark the final step in a six-year effort to move them into adoption homes.

The donkeys are the last of more than 500 who were cast-offs from the early days of Hawaii coffee and agricultural plantations.

When drought conditions forced the donkeys into residential areas in search of water, the herd became a problem when the animals started going into roadways, tearing up golf courses and drinking out of swimming pools, said Inga Gibson, Hawaii state director for the Humane Society of the United States.

The Society and Big Island residents are starting work on Friday to prepare the donkeys for adoption. All donkeys will get check-ups from a veterinarian before they're hauled off to their new homes.

This doesn't look much like a firework , but i like the patterns.

Besides Lobo really like how all the effects from ENB look here.

As stated in the previous post I love this fractalius effect....I especially loved it on this bottle brush bloom! :)

A big thank you to Angel for encouraging me to try this (even if it has taken me weeks to finally start on it)...he said it was addictive but I didn't know just how much until last night, I processed around ten photos with this effect...just love it! :)

There's nothing like watching the sun rise on another beautiful day.

Playing with light effects for a tutorial

That day I took this shot of the Thomas Viaduct a few weeks back the sunlight was very strong and wasnt favorable to my shot here so I decided B&W and some added effects might be good for this shot. I was thrilled to see that train sitting on top of the Viaduct that day as usually Iam not that lucky when usually visiting the T.V. I usually dont see a train on the bridge. The bridge is on the National Historic Resistry and has been since the 1960s. This masterpiece among bridges was constructed for the B&0 railiroad in the 1830s and as you can more than 150 years later the trains still use the bridge. CSX.

Indulging in a bit of "degustation" sure distorts the buildings....
