From the archives....I must have hundreds of images I've never processed or posted, and every once in a while, I come across something that makes me appreciate my own Midwestern surroundings a little more :-) Have a great Monday, and as always, thanks for all your visits and comments!!!! This is the shot i wanted to retake from an older version a few years ago.The best thing about here is that this is a little further up the beach from the last set of breakers and you can move back here when the tide has covered the other ones.I love the way they make a natural lead all the way to Capel Island.It is the first time i got some decent clouds over the island and there was some lovely highlights from the setting sun.I think they are made for b&w shots.I have uploaded the colour version as well below.I got soaked here again as i couldnt resist wading back in to try get different effects from the waves and different exposures.I could have standed back a bit but the wide angle lens comes into its own here allowing you to get right up close and exaggerate the scale of the breakers.I slightly prefer this one to the next shot as there was a lovely pool of light creating another lead along the breaker.
I had found this lone tree that was reflecting the last few sunrays, right before an ominous weather system headed in.

I Live! Deeply sorry for being inactive for so long. I've been busy with school and work, just haven't had the time. I have more figures on the way but they might not be out as soon as you hoped.
Took some shots at the Ocean reef marina development again. The new reclaimed land for the Marina is starting to be built on. I always find the simplicity of the water, sky and sea wall elements make for striking photos. On this day the clouds were also making an appearance and added further interest. The colours are always amazing here and the water is mostly a silty yellow/green colour which is best seen when I use the polariser to get rid of the glare. In these shots you can see the effects of varying amounts of polarisation.
I won't post a lot of effects pictures, but I am just learning some of this stuff and I really liked this one. It came from a photo I took the other night. That picture is posted as well, but is not as exciting.
... playing around with some effects to get that vintage National Geographic look; it actually came out looking more "normal" than I had expected....
