Into the motion of life. The never stopping wheel of destiny and fate. Sometimes not such a linear path. Yet the freedoms we need for love and peace.
Happy Slider Sunday
Just behind the perch where this male of Anax imperator rested from his short flights, there was a small waterfall that allowed us to obtain some photos with very curious and interesting backgrounds.
Some of them gave the impression that they had been modified in their edition to obtain such striking effects.
In that wonderful place that is La Puça, Petrer (Alicante).
A late summer hike along the discovery trail. The forest here is dense with Cedar, Ponderosa, and White Pines. In the shady understory of the forest, the effects of summer are less pronounced than they are in the open meadows. The ferns are lush and plentiful as are the other broad leaf shade lovers.
Here, a fallen tree provides nutrients for new generations of growth, and protection from the elements for the animals. Nope, I didn't find a sleeping bear and I certainly didn't go looking for rattlesnakes in there.

Art work at Taken at Waitakaruru Arboretum Sculpture Park.
From the description:
Bernie Harfleet states that his artistic practice is based
on what effects and motivates humans and in particular the dark and unspoken aspects of human society. He uses a range of media including painting, sculpture and photography to examine and question.
For 14, Harfleet looks at the statistics of domestic violence.
On average 14 women are killed in NZ by a member of their family each year. These women's names are briefly known to the general public before they become yet another number.
Inspired by Pissaro’s painting ‘The Effect of Fog’, I took this shot while walking along the Schuykill river in Philadelphia one morning. I first thought this shot would yield a black and white image, but then changed my mind. I used my Nikon D750 and 135 mm Ai f2.8 at f5.6 for capture and Lightroom for processing.
