Tutto sembra immobile ma qualcosa è sempre in movimento...

I was trying some light-writing for my 365 today. But my skills were lacking and I had to keep stopping to wait for the traffic. I set my tripod up on my back deck so I would have the dark trees as a backdrop and still be able to see the pathway for walking back and forth to the camera.

The location of my camera put the intersection near our house right behind it. So I had cars and their headlights pointing directly at me and the camera.

While waiting for a string of cars, I held the flashlight under my face and then moved around. It was a terrible effect, but it gave me the idea for this.

I used a red handkerchief over the flashlight to give it the red tint. I stood still and shined it on my face for a few seconds. Then turned it off, stepped to a new spot and did the same.

And this was the result! I'm pretty happy how it turned out.

Mirror effect? No, this is real.

These (all the lighting effect pictures) were taken while driving around pincourt. Just set the camera to a 15sec. exposure, and drive on. ( No, I wasn't driving...)

The new Welcome Center - for recent and prospective students also houses administrative offices for University Transportation and Parking Services (UTAPS). The structure is being constructed adjacent to new Parking Structure 5 at the front entrance to the campus. In close proximity to the University Arboretum, the landscape folds around the building and envelopes it to help it blend in with its surroundings.

The building includes a large assembly space with media briefing area, offices, public counter, conference rooms and other support spaces.

Also included with the project is a pedestrian plaza connecting the building and Parking Structure 5 with the rest of campus, creating a strong sense of place. The activated plaza space extends out toward the campus for those using the parking structure, while the Welcome Center at the northerly edge of the plaza leans inward from the trees, inviting new students to find out more about the University.

The building’s form and utilization of sloped roofs allows for a generous overhang area for outdoor gatherings and provides an efficient means of rainwater drainage through the use of rain chains. The building’s form also reduces the feeling of building mass in respect to pedestrian scale and creates an inviting atmosphere for campus visitors. The proximity of mature trees further enhances this effect. Stained and sealed wood panels and slats are integrated into the façade and overhang structure – a nod to the campus’ trellis motif.

The Welcome Center/UTAPS building is designed to achieve LEED Gold certification from the USGBC.

- 2 camadas do Kiko Multi-Effect

Sorry if this thread is a little tiring, I'm determined to find a picture this works well with.

This layering effect of mountains was what I have always dreamt of capturing. The crisscrossing of the lines to meet at the valleys and the foreground and background perspective created by the mist make for an interesting effect.
