El Museo del Barrio invited educators to see the newly renovated facilities, including two exceptional inaugural exhibitions: VOCES Y VISIONES: Four decades through El Museo del Barrio's Permanent Collection, and NEXUS NEW YORK: Latin/American Artists in the Modern Metropolis in Manhattan Nov. 12, 2009. On July 24 and 25, 2025 the LBJ Library held a two-day workshop to honor the 60th anniversary of the passage of the Voting Rights Act. Educators explored the history and expansion of U.S. voting rights from the formation of the nation to the 1965 march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama. At that moment 60 years ago, President Lyndon Johnson was calling on Congress to pass one of the most significant pieces of civil rights legislation in U.S. History: the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

AIRBORNE: The visit to the 34' Jump Tower was definitely one of the highlights of the Jacksonville BN Educator Tour. After a briefing from a Jump School Black Hat, the tour skipped Ground Week, phase 1 of paratrooper training, and went straight to phase 2, Tower Week, with some exciting results.
