The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA or Air Force) is a military academy for officer candidates for the United States Air Force. Its campus is located immediately north of Colorado Springs in El Paso County, Colorado, United States. The Academy's stated mission is "to educate, train, and inspire men and women to become officers of character, motivated to lead the United States Air Force in service to our nation." It is the youngest of the five United States service academies, having graduated its first class in 1959. Graduates of the Academy's four-year program receive a Bachelor of Science degree, and are commissioned as second lieutenants in the United States Air Force. The Academy is also one of the largest tourist attractions in Colorado, attracting more than a million visitors each year.

Candidates for admission are judged on their academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, athletics and character. To gain admission, candidates must also pass a fitness test, undergo a thorough medical examination, and secure a nomination, which usually comes from the member of Congress in the candidate's home district. Recent incoming classes have had about 1,200 cadets; historically just under 1,000 of those will graduate. Tuition along with room and board are all paid for by the U.S. government. Cadets receive a monthly stipend, but incur a commitment to serve a number of years of military service after graduation.

The program at the Academy is guided by the Air Force's core values of "Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do", and based on four "pillars of excellence": military training, academics, athletics and character development. In addition to a rigorous military training regimen, cadets also take a broad academic course load with an extensive core curriculum in engineering, humanities, social sciences, basic sciences, military studies and physical education. All cadets participate in either intercollegiate or intramural athletics, and a thorough character development and leadership curriculum provides cadets a basis for future officership. Each of the components of the program is intended to give cadets the skills and knowledge that they will need for success as officers.

Educative Baby Games For Ages 1-3 Months - Playing is a learning medium for babies. Play activities are not restricted like just using ready-made toys.

We can make games for babies in our own way so that our baby can learn with various toys that exist.

The most important thing is you and your baby can still enjoy a very pleasant interaction.

So there is no need to fill your baby's room with toys.

Enough with a doll only. For example, coupled with a bit of cereativity, there will be many games to do with the baby.

We can make a game like by making the existing doll can speak so that the vocabulary that can be caught the little one grew.

Cheap and simple games can be much more rewarding compared to super-complete toys that have very expensive prices.

Provided that parents can change the simple toy into a means that can stimulate the senses of the little child.

We can see the benefits that can be on a toy, whether it can stimulate the baby's sense of touch, the sense of hearing, the sense of sight, sharpening concentration, teaching the baby to quickly crawl, sit and others.

Thus, parents can know what can be done with the game.

Quite a lot of games can be used to make games given to babies.

But keep in mind if the baby at this age is still very limited, the hand of the little one still likes to clenched, the view of the little one is still not developed well enough.

Nevertheless, he has been able to see large objects and hearing the little one is also working properly.

For you parents who want to find toys for children aged 1-3 months.

Read AlsoHow To Carry a Newborn Baby Until The Age Of 8 Months

Then the following is a toy list for infants aged 1-3 months

A baby toy that has a sound

You can choose a baby toy that has a funny and interesting shape. Play the toy that sounds in front of the baby. Shake it so it makes a sound.

It would be better if when to shake the toy, the parents sing a song.

When the baby looks at the toy, move it to the left and right, and continue to accompany it with the song.

Keep moving the toys to different places in the room and watch as your baby turns and moves his head. Give your child a chance to hold the toy

The sounding toy is not only able to hone the baby's hearing senses, but also the sight and nerves of smooth motion when holding the toy.

Textured baby toys

These toys can make the baby feel different senses. look for a doll or toy that is textured and made from soft, rough to solid.

Try to touch the baby's arm with the various toys, start with a toy with a soft material, then continue with a toy that has a rough or solid material. Let your child to hold the toy.

Baby doll-shaped puppets

You can find a funny doll that is medium size. Recommend the doll to the baby and let him touch it.

After that you create a kind of dialog between the doll with the baby and you can say things that are currently being done.

For example, when changing diapers, tell if baby diapers should be replaced so that the baby can sleep comfortably.

You can describe any activity, such as taking a powder, dripping in eucalyptus oil or when putting on a baby shirt.

If you can, change your voice to the doll's voice and use a variety of high, low, singing, and so on.

In addition to stimulating the baby's language skills, but also this toy as well as the baby's hearing senses.

Hanging baby toys

Look for a toy that can hang on the baby's bed, with a variety of shapes and colorful.

toys like this are very useful for parents when changing baby diapers or in spare time.

Try hanging up a colorful ball, then spin slowly. Long time the little guy will want to grab the ball

Hanging toys are not only useful for sharpening eye coordination as well as baby's hand, but also can introduce the child in various colors.

Read AlsoIMPORTANT !!. 5 Preparation For The Birth Of First Child

Large ball-shaped toys

Such a ball is perfect if used as a buffer baby 3 months old.

Try to place the baby's body above the ball toy, then place the baby's stomach on the ball.

Keep baby tight. slowly, roll and play the ball back and forth.

This activity is very good when accompanied by a song. this swinging motion can calm the baby, and also stimulate the baby's brain development.

In addition to the game that has been mentioned above, it turns out the parents can also make an interesting game for your little one by using an existing toy.

Here we can imagine making games that can make the little laugh.

...this is a tribute to my cousin...a nature photographer on Galveston Island, Tx. that sadly lost her battle with an eating disorder in the wee hours of Monday morning. I am feeling a tremendous void, as it was she that inspired me to pick up the camera again after too long and start shooting nature myself. i still can not believe this feisty woman is no longer going to be writing her column, educating so many about the wildlife she so dearly loved, and emailing me with her totally absurd sense of humor. She wrote for the Galveston Daily news...shot nature for the love of it...fought vigorously for the feral cat population on the island, which seemed a contradiction to her love of birds...but that was what made maggie, maggie! She, with her wicked sense of humor and her voice for those that had no voice will be sadly missed....not only by me but by many. Thank you Maggie for being you...you will live on in my heart! i hope i can make you proud! (photo straight from camera...with a slight crop)

The Tibetan Nuns Project

Educating and Supporting Nuns in Exile

Nuns in Exile

The majority of Buddhist nuns leave Tibet because of the repressive political situation. Over the past two decades, a steady stream of nuns has arrived in Dharamsala in the Himalayan region of North India seeking refuge. These women wish only to live, study, practice, and teach in accordance with their spiritual beliefs.

Ranging in age from early teens to mid-80s, they come from all parts of Tibet and from many different backgrounds. Upon arrival in India, many nuns have suffered severely from their long, arduous, and often dangerous escapes. Some have been tortured and imprisoned by Chinese authorities in Tibet. In most cases the nuns arrive without money or possessions to a community already struggling to support itself.

Through our sponsorship program, and the support of our hundreds of sponsors from around the world, we currently support and educate over 700 nuns living in northern India. To learn more, click here.

Nunneries and Nuns

Dolma Ling Nunnery and Institute, built and fully supported by the Project, was the first institute dedicated specifically to higher education for Tibetan Buddhist nuns from all traditions.

Shugsep Nunnery and Institute, of the Nyingma tradition, was built and fully supported by the Project, and traces its lineage back to some of the greatest female teachers in Tibetan Buddhism.

Geden Choeling Nunnery, of the Gelug tradition, is the oldest nunnery in Dharamsala.

Tilokpur Nunnery, of the Kagyu tradition, provides scriptural and ritual training and is beginning a study program.

Sakya Nuns Institute, inaugurated in September 2009 in Mundawala near Dehra Dun, will offer a full course of studies followed by the monks at Sakya College.

Sherab Choeling Nunnery, in Lahaul-Spiti, has resident nuns who have begun a rigorous course of study, the first of its kind for women of that region.

Other nuns and nunneries that we help include nuns not living in nunneries, nuns on retreat, Khari Ganden Tenphel Ling Nunnery in Nepal, and Dorjee Zong Nunnery in Zanskar.

Many of Habana Vieja's myriad schools are housed in the beautiful old colonial buildings of yesteryear. A workable solution found, I image, with the advent of the revolutionary government's determination to educate the whole population. The restored heritage bldgs, however, are not fully compatible to a school's needs, (often insufficient light, lack of recreational space) so one often sees classes & their teachers in Habana Vieja's 5 public plazas, for sports activities and recess, or transitioning through the streets.

This is a photograph from a set of photographs of the Celbridge AC Ray Crofton Kia 5KM Road Race and Fun Run which was held at Celbridge AC running track, Clane Road, Celbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland on Sunday 16th August 2015 at 10:30. The 5KM route today is a new revised route for 2015 making it different to the successful 5KM race held annually by the club in the past.

The race started on the Clane Road outside the Celbridge AC grounds and proceeded on a left-handed loop which took participants close to Celbridge mainstreet before taking a left turn westwards to return back to the Clane Road and the grounds of Saint Wolstan's Community School and North Kildare Educate Together. The final 600meters of the race were held on the beautifully manicured grass track of Celbridge AC. The race was held in beautiful summer weather with temperatures of around 16C making very favourable and pleasant conditions for participants. There was excellent marshalling and route layout with stewards on all junctions to ensure safe traffic management. Refreshments were served after the race where many participants enjoyed the morning sunshine and sat down on the grass around the track to talk and review the race. The race also marked a significant milestone for Celbridge AC who are celebrating 50 years as an athletic club. A family and community fun day was planned for after the race to make the 50th anniversary celebrations. Celbridge is a small town on the banks of the River Liffey and is only a short distance from the county border line with Dublin. The proximity to Dublin sees Celbridge boast a large population and the race today reflected this with a very large number of local athletes taking part from the 295 participants.

We have a large set of photographs from the event today. The full set is accessible at: www.flickr.com/photos/peterm7/albums/72157656917110560 - They were taken at the start and finish of the event.

Yes - of course you can! Flickr provides several ways to share this and other photographs in this Flickr set. You can share directly to: email, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Tumblr, LiveJournal, and Wordpress and Blogger blog sites. Your mobile, tablet, or desktop device will also offer you several different options for sharing this photo page on your social media outlets.

BUT..... Wait there a minute....

We take these photographs as a hobby and as a contribution to the running community in Ireland. We do not charge for our photographs. Our only "cost" is that we request that if you are using these images: (1) on social media sites such as Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, Twitter,LinkedIn, Google+, VK.com, Vine, Meetup, Tagged, Ask.fm,etc or (2) other websites, blogs, web multimedia, commercial/promotional material that you must provide a link back to our Flickr page to attribute us or acknowledge us as the original photographers.

This also extends to the use of these images for Facebook profile pictures. In these cases please make a separate wall or blog post with a link to our Flickr page. If you do not know how this should be done for Facebook or other social media please email us and we will be happy to help suggest how to link to us.

I want to download these pictures to my computer or device?

You can download this photographic image here directly to your computer or device. This version is the low resolution web-quality image. How to download will vary slight from device to device and from browser to browser. Have a look for a down-arrow symbol or the link to 'View/Download' all sizes. When you click on either of these you will be presented with the option to download the image. Remember just doing a right-click and "save target as" will not work on Flickr.

I want get full resolution, print-quality, copies of these photographs?

If you just need these photographs for online usage then they can be used directly once you respect their Creative Commons license and provide a link back to our Flickr set if you use them. For offline usage and printing all of the photographs posted here on this Flickr set are available free, at no cost, at full image resolution.

Please email petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com with the links to the photographs you would like to obtain a full resolution copy of. We also ask race organisers, media, etc to ask for permission before use of our images for flyers, posters, etc. We reserve the right to refuse a request.

In summary please remember when requesting photographs from us - If you are using the photographs online all we ask is for you to provide a link back to our Flickr set or Flickr pages. If you really like what we do please spread the link around your social media, send us an email, leave a comment beside the photographs, send us a Flickr email, etc. If you are using the photographs in newspapers or magazines we ask that you mention where the original photograph came from.

I would like to contribute something for your photograph(s)?

Many people offer payment for our photographs. As stated above we do not charge for these photographs. We take these photographs as our contribution to the running community in Ireland. If you feel that the photograph(s) you request are good enough that you would consider paying for their purchase from other photographic providers or in other circumstances we would suggest that you can provide a donation to any of the great charities in Ireland who do work for Cancer Care or Cancer Research in Ireland.

Let's get a bit technical: We use Creative Commons Licensing for these photographs

We use the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License for all our photographs here in this photograph set. What does this mean in reality?

The explaination is very simple.

Attribution- anyone using our photographs gives us an appropriate credit for it. This ensures that people aren't taking our photographs and passing them off as their own. This usually just mean putting a link to our photographs somewhere on your website, blog, or Facebook where other people can see it.

ShareAlike – anyone can use these photographs, and make changes if they like, or incorporate them into a bigger project, but they must make those changes available back to the community under the same terms.

Above all what Creative Commons aims to do is to encourage creative sharing. See some examples of Creative Commons photographs on Flickr: www.flickr.com/creativecommons/

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:

►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera

►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set

►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone

►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!

You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.

Don't like your photograph here?

That's OK! We understand!

If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.

I want to tell people about these great photographs!

Great! Thank you! The best link to spread the word around is probably http://www.flickr.com/peterm7/sets
