One of my immediate thoughts for this first redress of Darius (I refuse to call him Gus, he should never have had his name stolen) was to create a tribute to Edward Enninful, Ghanaian-British Editor-in-Chief of British Vogue. I was completely charmed by him when I heard him interviewed on Radio 4's Desert Island Discs. Edward started out as a model before becoming fashion director for the magazine i-D - he was the youngest ever fashion director for an international publication at the age of 18. He is a huge promoter and supporter of diversity both in his editorial team and between the pages of the magazine.
Unfortunately I only had an edition of Spanish Vogue to use for this photoshoot 😅 Maybe Edward is going to take it over?

Editors are a British alternative rock band based in Birmingham, who formed in 2002. Previously known as Pilot, The Pride and Snowfield, the band currently consists of Tom Smith (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Russell Leetch (bass guitar, synthesizer, backing vocals), Ed Lay (drums, percussion, backing vocals), Justin Lockey (Lead guitar), and Elliott Williams (Keys, synthesizers, guitars, and backing vocals) .
Editors have so far released two platinum studio albums, and three in total, whilst selling over several million copies between them worldwide. Their debut album The Back Room was released in 2005. It contained the hits "Munich" and "Blood" and the following year received a Mercury Prize nomination.
Their follow-up album An End Has a Start went to number 1 in the UK Album Chart in June 2007 and earned the band a Brit Awards nomination for best British Band. It also spawned another Top 10 hit single, "Smokers Outside the Hospital Doors". The band's third album, In This Light and on This Evening, was released in October 2009 and went straight to number 1 in the UK Album Chart. The band is currently in studio working on their fourth studio album.
Alongside their critical acclaim and strong success in the charts, Editors have consistently enjoyed sold out tours and numerous headlining festival slots. Their brand of dark indie rock is commonly compared to the sound of bands such as Echo & the Bunnymen, Joy Division, Interpol, The Chameleons and U2.

On Thursday, May 18, 2017, the LBJ Library’s Future Forum held a conversation highlighting talented Texas women who are creating diverse and inclusive teams in the workforce to build the next generation of strong female leaders. The panel discussion included Toya Bell, deputy chief ethics officer at the Texas Health and Human Services system and community steward and mentor; Mellie Price, executive director of technology innovation at Dell Medical School and co-founder of Austin-based Capital Factory, which nurtures entrepreneurial start-ups; and Erica Saenz, associate vice president for community and external relations in the University of Texas at Austin’s Division of Diversity and Community Engagement. The discussion focused on mentorship, working in male-dominated fields, claiming a seat at the influence table, and hard-won lessons from the panelists. The conversation was moderated by Emily Ramshaw, editor-in-chief of The Texas Tribune, a non-partisan media organization.
