“Garoto ainda, na antiga sexta série do curso ginasial, me deparei com toda a turma lendo uma redação minha. Foi tarefa de classe e o professor de português, Demétrio Diniz, gostou tanto que a colocou à disposição dos colegas de classe. Estava selada, a partir daquele momento,a minha vocação para o mundo das letras. Anos depois estava entrando no curso de jornalismo. De lá para casa já se vão 40 anos no batente. O começo foi aqui mesmo, no Diario de Pernambuco, onde mantive no início dos anos 1970, uma coluna na página de regional, como colunista social. Depois, vieram as funções de repórter especial e editor não apenas no DP mas em outros jornais do estado. Além de atuação em todas as áreas do jornalismo, com certeza um dos grandes ganhos obtidos como profissional e pessoalmente foi o exercício como setorista na área do jornalismo regional, do qual fui o último representante na imprensa pernambucana. Poder ter mostrado um interior próspero,diferentemente da imagem concebida durante muitos anos de seca e miséria, pude vivenciar um aprendizado que foi além da profissão e me mostrou que a beleza pode estar no mais simples rincão desse Pernambuco. Não posso esquecer também que a cobertura da Copa do Mundo de 1990, na Itália, as reportagens internacionais e as entrevistas com várias personalidades brasileiras nos mais diversos segmentos profissionais também marcaram e continuam marcando a minha carreira”

The Growing Importance of Institutional Investors in Transition Economies
Banks across the globe are facing increasing capital constraints, resulting in shifting an emphasis on certain activities and a reduced appetite for long-term lending to the corporate and infrastructure sectors.
As the non-banking financial sector continues to expand, this discussion focused on the growing importance of institutional investors in the development of capital markets in transition economies. Investors such as pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies and asset managers have the ability to exert a significant influence on capital flows in the EBRD’s region.
This panel also explored the challenges and opportunities faced by the institutional investment community and how these investors can mobilise funds in support of economic development.

Hermle uses a Forgefix pneumatic driven tool from 3S-Engineering for the treatment of metal surfaces. The tool is making very tiny 'dents' while hammering the workpiece. This creates a very smooth and hard surface and it prevents microfractures.
