"Echo Beach" was recorded by the Canadian group Martha and the Muffins in 1979. Written by band member Mark Gane, it was released as a single from their album Metro Music in 1980 and won the Juno Award for Single of the Year. It was certified gold in Canada on 1 October 1980, a month after Metro Music achieved gold status. It was the band's only significant international hit, although they had several others in Canada. It reached No. 10 on the UK Singles Chart, and No. 6 on the Australian Singles Chart (Kent Music Report)

Rambling around the Cathedral Range on Saturday, I found this spot for a lunch break. The small Cathedral Fire from a lightning strike earlier this summer was still smoldering over the close ridge on the left. Probably won't go out fully until the snowpack arrives. Good to see a helicopter fly over a few times later in the afternoon to check up on it.

It's that magical time of year at Echo Ridge. Fires are lit and cabins are warm as the snow starts to fall on the evergreen forests. Hear the ice sing under the setting sun and make a wish upon a shooting star.
The Başköy Gorge at Şeytan Kalesi is 300 meters deep and pretty narrow. Screaming from the castle provides an amazing echo rolling through the valley. Kinda ghostly.

Oh have we been busy?! Yes, with a couple still in the works and many in the thought process, we have completed another short film born in SL and submitted it to the Newport Beach Film Festival. Though I would love to share it here, the rules of this festival are that the video can't be publicly available while being evaluated sooo..the best we can do for now is to share the poster created to go with it :)

At Deas Island Park in Richmond, BC, overlooking Fraser River.
The sky was magnificent that day and I loved the way the sun was reflecting on the water.
The best way to start the morning for a kayak angler; with the 'yak on the water, loaded, and ready to head out (after a hot cup of java of course!). This shot was 30 feet from our camper door on 5/19/18.

Echo Lake Park is a park located along the Mount Evans Scenic Byway about 33.5 mi (54 km) west of Denver, Colorado.
Echo Lake is a shallow, oligotrophic lake situated at 10,600 ft (3,230 m) above sea level near Mount Evans in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. It formed during the latest period of glaciation roughly 10,000 years ago. As glaciers retreated in the Chicago Creek valley, lateral moraines formed a natural dam to drainage, forming the lake. The ecosystem around the lake is dominated by Engelmann Spruce (Picea engelmannii) and Subalpine Fir (Abies lasiocarpa), with some Limber Pine (Pinus flexilis) on exposed sites.

City Echoes II
I combined photos of a sculpture that was on display in Madison Square Park from May 5 to Aug 14, 2011 in New York City. HSS
Towering forty-feet above the central Oval Lawn, Jaume Plensa’s Echo is a monumental sculpture that depicts the head of a nine-year-old girl from the artist’s Barcelona neighborhood. The work, marking Plensa’s New York City public space debut, is made of resin, steel and coated in white marble dust. Echo, a mountain nymph in Greek mythology, was cursed by the goddess Hera. As a result, she was unable to speak, except for the last words uttered by another person.
The calm of Plensa’s Echo offers a quiet counterpoint to the voices of the thousands of daily visitors to Madison Square Park. A child with her eyes closed and her mouth poised, the looming sculpture conveys peaceful, dream-like introspection with the surreal air of disquietude. Drawing on Surrealism’s links to his work, the artist has said that “the beauty of art is that your dreams must be shared with others, but first you must dream.” Plensa is closely identified today with his practice of creating outsized portrait heads of those in his community in Barcelona. He realizes their likenesses and then, with computer technology and sophisticated fabrication techniques, transforms each individual as a collective figure of the human condition. [Madison Sq. Pk. Echo at the pumpkin farm yesterday out in the country a few miles from my cat colony. She's doing really well with her "sit/ stay" command.
But she ate tons of pumpkin seeds, mushy pumpkins and everything else out in the field.
While driving around with Echo this bench surrounded by all the leaves caught my eye so I pulled over and *asked* Echo to pose. She loves sitting on benches so it was easy to take a bunch of pics. I really love this time of year with the leaves carpeting the ground like this.

Königssee is an elongated mountain lake in the Berchtesgaden area in southeastern Bavaria. Since the Königssee is nestled between steep mountain slopes, it is described as a fjord-like. Famous is the echo of Koenigssee. During the trip by boat the coxswain is demonstrating to the guests with a flugelhorn or a trumpet the impressive echo from the Echowand (echo rock wall). You can hear it one-way or rarely twice.
