On Lexington Avenue, Between East 106th and 107th Streets

A gas explosion occurred at 9:31 a.m. on March 12, 2014. It leveled two apartment buildings located just north of 116th Street killing eight people, injuring at least 70 others, and displacing 100 families

This old ghost sign on Madison Ave. just north of 125th Street looks like it says:

That is the name of this work of public art by Giannina Gutierrez. Seen on East 111th Street and Lexington Avenue in East Harlem, New York.

Early 2020 view of the Save-A-Thon store in East Harlem. Except for the new awning the place is mostly unchanged since 2016.

Went for a walk in East Harlem and saw this cat grooming itself in a window. it just stared at me until I left. I guess I was invading its privacy.

Although we tend to associate Park Avenue with Midtown Manhattan, it actually stretches all the way up to the Bronx. This picture was shot on East 97th Street, technically East Harlem. (And, yes, the woman's on her cell phone.)
