You can't really tell, but they're sitting on an Easter basket. The lid is so cute, it has two little bunnies on it and says "Happy Easter", but I couldn't get a good enough shot showing that.
Mark colored these by himself for Lucia. She is way too young to know what they are but we'll show her this photo in a few years :-)

Easter Sunrise Service in the rural desert does not have the formality of the urban church services, but it was still a rich time of fellowship. (And everyone braved the cold 50-degree morning to be there).
On Saturday, April 3, 2021, Bishop David Walkowiak presided during Easter Vigil in the Holy Night at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew. Father René Constanza, CSP, rector of the cathedral, and Associate Pastors Father Bill Edens, CSP, and Father Michael Hennessy, CSP, concelebrated. Deacon Dennis Rybicki and Paulist Seminarian Deacon Michael Cruickshank assisted. The Vigil Mass included the Service of Light and catechumens and candidates of the parish were received into full communion with the Church.
