Spring is here!! And Easter is on it's way. Just as with all other holidays, many of the residents decorate their front doors to reflect the event and season. After a long winter, it is nice to see Spring flowers and colors everywhere you look.
Just pretty. It is the perfect flower to commerate Jesus' triumph over the grave.... beautiful white and pure with a bud of hope. Just beautiful.
Easter Rose. Well actually it's a CAMELLIA, but more importantly it is MY Camellia, and grows in front of my kitchen window
The Loot - one last picture before they could tear into their candy, again! They had already picked through it before church.
Mom made these and won a sewing competition at Karr's, the local department store. They were on display for about a week.
Easter morning: 8x8 inch scrapbook page. The rising sun and owl stamps are Hero Arts, dated 1978. The other Easter stamps are also retired Hero Arts stamps that I chalked for a Spring, pastel feel....I was trying to tell a story incorporating my oldest stamps (in hopes of winning the "Oldest stamp" prize). Journaling reads "The Sun rises, the owl retires. It must be Easter Morning!". Photo of our son with his collection of eggs that the Bunny left him.
