It's an old way to paint eggs for Easter

At Easter dinner, I found myself fiddling with my cell phone's camera settings. I don't remember what I had aimed the cell camera at, but I like how they reflect Easter colors.

Easter Brunch in our garden

On Saturday, April 3, 2021, Bishop David Walkowiak presided during Easter Vigil in the Holy Night at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew. Father René Constanza, CSP, rector of the cathedral, and Associate Pastors Father Bill Edens, CSP, and Father Michael Hennessy, CSP, concelebrated. Deacon Dennis Rybicki and Paulist Seminarian Deacon Michael Cruickshank assisted. The Vigil Mass included the Service of Light and catechumens and candidates of the parish were received into full communion with the Church.

We got out the really old cutters that I remembered from my childhood but hadn't seen in a while. Since they had embossed details, I just put sugar on them instead of frosting.

Stan: Uh, can I ask a question? Why do we do this?

Randy Marsh: Wha... what do you mean, "Why do we do this?" It's Easter!

Stan: Right. So why do we color eggs?

Randy Marsh: Well... so that the Easter Bunny can hide them.

Stan: Yeah, but why?

Randy Marsh: Stanley, Easter celebrates the day that Jesus was resurrected after being crucified for our sins.

Stan: So we dip eggs in colored vinegar and a giant rabbit hides them?

Randy Marsh: That's right.

Stan: You don't see the missteps in logic with that?

Stan: Look, I'm just saying that somewhere between Jesus dying on the cross and a giant bunny hiding eggs there seems to be a... a gap of information.

Randy Marsh: Stanley, just dye your goddamn eggs!

IHTSW?! - Easter

We are visiting in a city this weekend and found some left over eggs stuffed with candy at a public park. There was an Easter Egg Hunt there yesterday which we missed. Apparently we found some left overs!
