Wishing everyone a very Happy Easter (I've been waiting since last July to upload this photo) HeOM too!
Happy Easter everyone! This bunny was one of a pair I found yesterday, but I went back this morning with an Easter photo in mind.
These delicate and fragile Easter eggs have been painted completely by hand in Turkey in a beautiful Art Nouveau style, known as Arts and Crafts Movement or “Style Liberty” in the United Kingdom. The eggs all have a solid background over which a stylised pattern of flowers in a William Morris style has been painted. The decorated eggs are then covered in a varnish to protect the fragile hand painted surface. The eggs are all painted in Turkey by one family, and then shipped to Australia. The family also make stylish wooden spherical Christmas ornaments with similar Style Liberty design.
I would like to wish all of my Flickr friends and followers a very happy Easter Sunday! May today be filled with lots of fun, laughter and if you go on an Easter Egg hunt may you find a treasured Easter egg... or two of chocolate or otherwise.
However amongst all the fun and frivolity and chocolate take a moment to stop and remember the reason for the season, whether it be religious, or the simple joy of being with the ones you love the most.
Spending time with beloved people is always wonderful, but in times of Corona it is a gift. Today Easter will passing by and I thinking about the meaning of Easter, but,..., no imaging to miss one of friends or one of my beloved family is horrible. And the hope to see as again, somewhere, our souls, after our death, can't help me really.
So let me thank for a wonderful time, together, in peace and with healthy!
It's Easter
The Easter bear helps the Easter Bunny to hand out 88 eggs.
All eggs go to the bears and their mommies and daddies.
PETER:
The Easter bear has arrived Oleg!
I'm taking a bath... is that okay?
OLEG:
Of course Peter. Good that you point it out yourself!
Moments later.....
EASTER BEAR:
Dear Bears and Mummy Marian...I brought you chocolate Easter eggs! Come with me
Arriving at the basket with the Easter eggs:
OLEG:
OMG...Peter.....What are you doing?
PETER:
I take an Easter egg bath with the chicks Oleg.
isn't it funny?
OLEG:
No it's not funny.
Get out of the basket immediately.
The Easter eggs are for all of us to eat and not to take a bath in
BENNY:
Yes.. Peter... get out of that basket with those chicks. I want my chocolate egg now because I have a grumbly tummy.
Now the Easter Bunny can finally hand out the Easter eggs
Happy Easter everyone!!!!
One of the many beautiful Easter decorations that I have seen this year. I wish my Flickr friends a happy Easter.
Easter would not be Easter without some Dafodils in our lives. These were seen at Pensthorpe Natural Park in North Norfolk
As I attempted to make a quick getaway, I told these little guys that the "Easter Bunny" (me) was going away for the Easter weekend. I thought I was clear!? Next thing you know, they packed their little bunny-bags, grabbed the eggs and came hopping down the hallway!! This wasn't the escape I had imagined, but if you know me, you know I love bunnies. How could I resist? Should make for an interesting weekend! Happy Easter everyone! ♥

Rano Kau Volcano, Easter Island, Chile
Rano Kau is one of the four volcanoes of Easter Island and the most impressive. It is a world heritage site that is part of Rapa Nui National Park.
The crater is 1km in diameter (and 200 meters deep) and is filled with a lake, one of three natural freshwater reserves on the island. One of the parts of the crater wall has fallen into the sea. Within the next century the wall could lower to the level of the lake due to erosion from the ocean and drain it dry.

It is all about the colors today. I noticed while processing the shot that the rabbit had a notched ear, someone could not wait for Easter chocolate bunny.
"Living he loved me, dying he saved me. Buried, he carried my sins far away. Rising, he justified, freely forever (made right with God; balanced the account). One day, he's coming. O, glorious day!
Happy Easter everyone. I hope it is filled with love and laughter. And may it bring some peace around the world.

Orthodox Easter for the year 2024 is celebrated on Sunday, May 5.
This day celebrates the resurrection of Jesus from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion on Orthodox Good Friday.
The Orthodox Church uses the Julian calendar to determine their holy days. Easter for the Orthodox Church will always fall sometime between April 4th and May 8th each year.
The date used for Easter was determined at the Council of Nicaea in 325 A.D. It is on the Sunday following the paschal full moon, which is the full moon that falls on or after the spring equinox. Orthodox Easter will usually fall later in the year than Western Christian Easter because Orthodox Easter uses the Julian calendar and the later uses the Gregorian calendar.
The photo shows:
The Zachatievsky Convent was founded in 1584 and dedicated to the Conception ('zachatie') of St Anne. However previous to this there was another convent located here which was founded by St Alexius (Aleksey), Metropolitan of Moscow, in 1360 but destroyed by fire in 1547. Shortly after the Zachatievsky Convent was founded it was subjected to the destruction of the Times of Troubles.
Major construction work took place at the convent in the late 17th, mid-18th and early 19th century. However the convent was closed in 1927 and many of its buildings were destroyed or heavily damaged and the territory was used as a juvenile prison.
The convent was reopened in 1995 and subsequently restored. On the small square immediately outside the convent is a statue of St Alexius, the founder of the convent.
