At work, this year, we are having a an egg hunt so I picked up a few different kinds of eggs.

These little Smartie Easter Eggs are well nice. (Other small chocolate eggs are available).
We've a couple, or rather did have a couple, of bags in the house. Don't think the remaining bag will last long though.

A pair of pink tulips with hints of white edges are beautifully captured against a softly textured pastel background. The flowers exhibit a delicate gradient of color and are shown in full bloom with their green stems and leaves elegantly framing them. They bloomed just in time for Easter.
Easter Sunday finds the salt water vessel Riga at anchor off Duluth waiting to load grain on Monday.

Tapeti (Sylvilagus brasiliensis) - Cajas National Park, Ecuador
A Tapeti, also known as the Brazilian cottontail or forest cottontail from high up in the Ecuadorian Andes. These rabbits seemed plentiful up in the paramo but were also quite shy, probably for good reason as I did come across a partially eaten one when I was hiking. While the paramo (treeless zone high up in the Andes) is a harsh environment the rabbits seem to flourish there with the abundance of vegetation and grass to munch on. I'm pretty sure this little fella thought I couldn't see him, and I chose not to disillusion him instead I took a few photos and moved on. Happy Easter!

It is very silent still, a few birds sing a tentative song, in the distance one car.
It is Easter morning, no children or grandchildren to hide eggs for...
I light the candles for our 'special' breakfast.
We always make breakfast special on the week-ends, but for some days a little extra special!

Sacred Heart Church that is located near Pondicherry (Puducherry) rail station majestically stands in reddish-brown and white. This century old church was built in 1907 and looks stunning in the late afternoon sunshine. It’s a catholic church designed in the Gothic style. There is a distinct Indian theme running through the decor with vibrant coloured stained glass windows and ornate walls and decks.

Happy Easter everyone!
I wasn't going to do an Easter photo but I already had the props from last year so I gave it a try.... I didn't want to do a repeat so I came up with a very non creative photo of Drago bringing me the basket.. Oh well! ...
The fun part for him was that I did hide some of the plastic eggs around the woodsy area... So he had fun finding them and getting his ball as a reward
Purple tulips from Filoli are beautiful for Easter.

Some star trails taken over the easter weekend, looking south towards the Southern celestial pole.
Taking advantage of clear skies and being well clear of big city lights. A relatively modest 60 frames stacked in PhotoShop.
The Easter Bunny left his Trail in our Neighborhood.
But I've looked everywhere and can't find my Easter Basket of Goodies. I think he passed us by...............
The process involves applying designs to the surface of an egg using hot bees wax .This is my creation for this year
Easter eggs dyed by Kearah in a ceramic egg carton.
I think she was trying for a large variety of colours, patterns & techniques.
These where all "store bought" eggs as the ones from out bckyard chickens come precoloured a pale brown or blue.
Last year we had so many extra colourful hard boiled eggs that I took them to work as snacks & it took almost a week to through them all.
