Easter decorations on the main square in my hometown. At background the Holy Mother of consolation Parish Church :)
Holy Mother of consolation Parish Church - It's the biggest church in Żyrardów. It was founded by the Sobański Family and Karol Dittrich and built from 1900 to 1903. It was designed in neogothic style and it's standing on the central square of my hometown. The church was patterned on Koln Basilica (eightfold lowered) and it has two 70 meters tall towers. The interior is decorated with the flowery motifs of stain glass windows made by Franciszek Białkowski according to the design attributed to Józef Mehoffer. The church furnishings refer to the gothic style.

Wielkanocne dekoracje na głównym placu w Żyrardowie. W tle kościół Matki Bożej Pocieszenia :)
Kościół Farny pw. Matki Bożej Pocieszenia - zbudowany w centrum miasta, w latach 1900 - 1903 z fundacji rodziny Sobańskich i Karola Dittricha. Zaprojektowany przez Józefa Piusa Dziekońskiego w stylu neogotyckim. Kościół wzorowany był na bazylice w Kolonii (ośmiokrotnie pomniejszony), posiada dwie strzeliste 70-cio metrowe wieże. We wnętrzu znajdują się piękne secesyjne witraże przedstawiające kwiaty polskie (słoneczniki, maki, chabry, lilie, malwy i chryzantemy), wykonane w pracowni Franciszka Białkowskiego, prawdopodobnie według projektu Józefa Mehoffera. Wyposażenie kościoła utrzymane jest w stylu gotyckim.
Another sweet arangement I had created for my Mom as a surprise gift. She used to love pretty things like this, always made with love.

My chocolaty Easter stash is displayed in front of a hardbound pocket Shakespeare collection published in 1881 that I bought in an antique store . The writer's name is spelled "Shakspeare" on both the cover and the title page of all XIII volumes.

This beautiful display decorated a shop. Almost everyone stopped to admire it & take photos. It created a lovely atmosphere as we were all smiling & talking to each other while waiting to take photos.

Visiting the flower nursery Yesterday I saw 5 little rabbit in the cage for sale,
I did not bring one home,
The Lionhead rabbit has a long wool mane encircling the head, reminiscent of a male lion, hence the name.
Even if everything is different this year, I wish everyone a Happy Easter. Stay healthy!

Taken Easter morning at sunrise on along the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge. Beacon Rock off in the distance and a train moving through the trees in the middle ground. It was a pretty nice way to start out the day.
