Visiting the flower nursery Yesterday I saw 5 little rabbit in the cage for sale,
I did not bring one home,
The Lionhead rabbit has a long wool mane encircling the head, reminiscent of a male lion, hence the name.

Today's topic for Our Daily Challenge is 'Easter.' I was not at all sure that I would be able to arrange for the Easter BunnyKitty to come here two days before Easter - but, luck and grace were with us. I wonder if she will come back while she is out on Sunday delivering colored eggs and jelly beans to the Children of the world on Easter. You can see other visits from the KittyBunny and CatRabbits, even some in China, in the album.
(no cats have ever been harmed in front of my camera on Easter. They think its undignified, but they love me, they indulge me. The remote shutter clicker this time was nice.)
I considered it is good luck to see Easter bunny in Easter weekend!

Easter Egg Hunt from the past... Yes, there will be more in the future. Keep the faith. Happy Easter everyone.
I have a thing for television baking shows, and my favorite is Zumbo's Just Desserts.
Occasionally I feel inspired to try my hand at it. This was a Zumbo Easter breakfast recipe, with chocolate pancakes, caramel whipped cream, berries, and a hollow chocolate egg on top. When you hit the egg with a spoon, it cracked open and caramel sauce poured over the pancakes. It wasn't the prettiest (helped by clever processing), but it was heavenly to eat!!

Every tradition, every myth, is based on a grain of truth...
Recent evidence suggests that the easter bunny originated somewhere in what was once the supercontinent Gondwana, 2000 to 2000000000 years ago.
Several factors were important in the creation of the easter bunny story:
- dinosaurs would lay their eggs at this time of year
- their eggs were nutritious
- prehistoric man would be really hungry after a long winter
- being male and hungry predisposed him to making stupid decisions e.g.. stealing dinosaur eggs
- ancient megafauna like megarabbit were slow moving and easy to kill, but not as nutritious as dinosaur eggs
- if you wore megabunny ears like a hat, it would make you (prehistoric man) appear bigger and thus scarier to dinosaurs, increasing your chance of successfully stealing dinosaur eggs and surviving to procreate another day from 1:32544756485 to 1:7362486346
- prehistoric man had not yet mastered statistics or critical thought.
With these well documented facts put together, we can now appreciate how the story of the "easter bunny" and "easter eggs" came to be.
Ofcourse, like all stories, it has changed somewhat over the years, but the main message of Easter has remained the same - chocolate eggs taste better than real eggs, but are far less nutritious.
