Easter Bunny Train
Heber Valley Railroad dispatched four "Easter Bunny" trains between Heber City and Charleston, Utah on Saturday, April 4, 2026. While the journey was short (45 minutes), the fare was a bargain at only $5 per ticket. Perfect for families to take the kids out for a bit of fun in beautiful Heber Valley.
The 10:00 a.m. departure made for a great morning perspective, as the train returned from Charleston. This is the same time of day Rio Grande's Heber Local would arrive from Provo with a GP9 back in the 1960s. A little imagination goes a long way.
Snow capped Mt. Timpanogos makes the setting perfect. Freight cars would be nice, but I can handle a set of Pullman Green heavyweights any day. Have a great Easter Sunday.
