A fun twist on the traditional miniature Christmas trees that are commonly seen, these trees feature Easter eggs in pastel colors. Taken with a Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50mm 3.5 on an extension tube, on a Canon SL1 camera.
Licca and her pet rabbits wish you a Happy Easter!
It's been a cold day today, with cloudy skies, but colorful Easter eggs and Licca's sweet face brighten it up. :) She is Snow Licca, one of my top favourite Liccas ever made, and a limited edition of 300 dolls. I've only taken pics of her in her default white outfit before, and though she loves wintery themes, she looks just as beautiful in a more colorful setting. She has quite the "country" look, doesn't she?
Had to make do with paper ears, will have to buy him some fluffy ones for next year - Hope you've all had a nice Easter :-)
Our Easter theme is "Choices". This is the imagery that will go on our posters, invites, powerpoint, video, etc.
The idea is that we have a lot of choices in our lives, but the most important one is to choose Christ.
This is my first project dealing with lots of false lighting effects....any pointers? I really tried to play with shadows and luminocity. So far, I'm pretty happy with it.
Now I'm off to adding text.
Easter favors for my family celebration. Dan made these using Die Keen in Easter Island ice cube molds. I helped paint them : )

Easter is the pinnacle of the Church's liturgical year and is the solemnity upon which the rest of the year revolves. It was on the first Easter Sunday that the Lord's disciples discovered the empty tomb, indicating that Christ had risen from the dead.
By His Resurrection Jesus Christ triumphed over death, paid the debt that came through the sin of Adam, and thus opened the gates of Heaven to mankind. Thus, the Lord's Resurrection on Easter thus marks the turning point in salvation history.
It is for this reason that Christians have great reason to rejoice in the new life brought to us by the Risen Savior. Salvation has come at last! For this reason, the Church resumes the use of the word "alleluia" which is said with even greater frequency and fervor for the rest of the fifty days of the Easter season, also known as 'Paschaltide.'
The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is no mere historical event relegated to history but a living reality which Christians experience again and again each year. It is an ever ancient and ever new mystery that is re-presented each year. May all discover and receive the new life to be found in the Risen Savior.

There are about a thousand moai on Easter Island. Each village erected them, but they were all carved at one quarry, over a period of hundreds of years.
