Plush easter cupcakes with a marshmallow bunny on top.

Years ago the local mall used to have an Easter Bunny Land this time of year with a train for the little kids to ride. The part of me that will always be five years old still wishes that a land of plush bunnies could be real, so this year, the Lab did its best to make that wish come true on a tiny scale.
My girlfriend's mother has been wanting me to build her something for a long time now. She is going to be getting this for her birthday in a few days (Easter Lilies are her favorite)
We celebrated Easter 2011 with our son, Brian, and his family in Columbus, OH.

I've been trying for a couple weeks to figure out what I wanted to do for Easter cupcakes. I could never decided on one design, so I had fun doing several different styles.
All chocolate cupcakes with either vanilla or chocolate cream cheese frosting.
(To give credit where it's due, the ones with the gold bunnies are a Bakerella design)

I found this fun Easter egg at Michael's Craft store. This one is plastic resin, but I remember smaller versions made of sugar and icing. I don't have any tiny bunnies, although I do have a couple of bitty Easter chicks. For the moment the tiny unicorn is in it.

Using natrual colors to get yellow eggs (curcumin)m green eggs (chlorophyll) and red/purple eggs (carmine). I've used commercial dye. The ones I have made on my own were very pale in color.

Easter Island, also known as Rapa Nui is a little Pacific island quite far from anywhere. The ancient inhabitants who lived there got very clever and decided to chop down all their trees to prop up big stone headed CEOs to watch over things. They learned too late that forests were more useful than big headed CEOs. I think theres a lesson in that for all of us.

Been some great looking easter eggs in the shops this year and this was one of my favourites. Happy Scrabble Sunday Easter.

As it's Easter why not treat yourself to this lovely Easter bunny costume which includes the pink Axfords corset which you can't buy anymore as sadly Axfords have now ceased trading. Even if you don't want my bunny outfit which has feature in Transliving magazine(but not on me)I thought I'd use the excuse that it's Easter to post a few more pics of me in it and wish all my friends a happy Easter
After trying to think up a decent Easter picture for this year I realized my Taeyang Cupid could model as Jesus for the photo. It's not exactly the way I hoped, but I think it turned out just as well.
I hope everyone enjoys Easter (or Passover) this weekend!
