The village green at Middleton in Teesdale puts on a splendid show of daffodils in spring sunshine.

Finally, snowdrops from this year. The first of the spring bulbs have broken through.

This time of year I try to go to the National Arboretum very often. There is an explosion of color there now as the camellias, magnolias, and other flowering trees are all blooming. Most of the magnolias are the pink or white blossom variety, but this is yet another color their collection.

February 2025

These days there are plenty of these kind of trees near me... It's like a flower explosion.

Thank you for your interest in my photos!

Much larger is better.... View On Black

Again, from the park near my home, this is a view of the duck pond as seen in the early evening two nights ago. The warmth of the setting light and the reflections really caught my eye......

It's still cold but you can see now that spring will come soon.

Impossible to do justice to such light that came and so quickly passed this evening. But I had to try.

A wonderful place to walk on wide trails obeying six feet separation. The dark area at the bottom of the photo is from a controlled prairie burn, a common practice used in maintaining restored prairies.

A view over part of the Somerset Levels - in the distance Burrowbridge Mump - also known as King Alfred's Fort as legend has it, that here the episode of the burnt cakes occurred!! I was in Aller Woods trying to capture birds!!! - Failed!! But the sunset was very pretty and lit up the residue flood water on the levels :))

Flowering quince - also called Japonica. Which I think is a beautiful name.

Castle in the Hesbjerg woods

After a snowier than usual season, the peaks of the northern Sangre de Cristo Range were just shining with contrasts in the diffused light of the morning. Color was returning to the willows and vegetation and OMG, scenes like this just make your inner feelings soar. Thanks so much for looking everyone!

Prior bench post (below) was up on the porch of the mansion house seen here. The girls were having a good time - HBM!

人懐っこいアオジ

I haven't had much, if any, time for photography for the past month and a half. So this is an old shot taken back at the very beginning of spring, before the leaves had begun to fill out the trees. I remember it being still rather cold but the sunshine was lovely. Just four more days and I will be out taking photos again! :-)
