A mild winter? Yes. But here in the south we do get snow. And in our garden we have Snowflakes!

The Snowflakes recently started blooming but in the past few days they have really taken off.

So fair warning - you may see a few more photos popping up over the next few days.

In the gentle embrace of a misty morning, a solitary hawk perches upon a barren branch, its delicate form both steadfast and serene. The tree, stripped bare, reaches out like nature's quiet poetry, its skeletal twigs weaving into the ethereal veil of fog. Light filters through the mist in soft whispers, bathing the scene in a glow that feels timeless and otherworldly. The bird, poised and contemplative, becomes a symbol of stillness and introspection, embodying the solitude of the landscape.

Today’s exercise walk took me 12km along the coast path from Amlwch towards Lligwy. There were a few brief patches of light amongst the torrential rains and the wind. Mid march and I am starting to see small shoots of growth and a bit of colour signaling the start of a change in the season.

Thoughts and Prayers to al the Victims of Natural Disasters especially those who lost their lives and properties in Alabama.

I thank God for giving me the gift of sight so I could see the beauty of His creations such as this beautiful magnolia.

Wishing you all a HAPPY and a BLESSED New Week!

Thank you so much for stopping by and for the kind comments and favs. They are very much appreciated!

After several snowy wintry days and occluded vistas due to weather, the high peaks of the Sawatch Range finally began to show themselves. The snowplows were working in earnest clearing the roads over Monarch Pass, and Monarch ski area was doing a brisk business. Fifteen foot plowed snow piles surrounded the parking areas, so I donned snowshoes and set to capture some nice snowy forest scenes and vistas, Occasional snow squalls would move through lending an icy haze on the scenes. This was the most snow I had experienced in a long time, and I get out quite frequently into the central and Front Ranges of Colorado. Monarch Pass was just beautiful on this day! Thanks for looking everybody!

Back reaches of the seasonal pond at Creamer's field. If this summer is typical, the pond will dry up and be walkable. The wood frogs will be quietly sleeping, waiting for next spring's flooding.

We took a quick trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park for the Spring Wild Flower Chasing and it turned out a bit too early. We detoured our initial plan into stream and waterfalls scouting instead. It was in the Roaring Fork creek of the Great Smokies that we found this hidden spot. Spring is called early by those beautiful green moss.

Last deep snow of the season? Probably, but their long legs get through just fine.

I appreciate your visit and comment.
