“The details are details. They make the product. The connections, the connections, the connections. It will in the end be these details that give the product its life.”

My Eames board arrived yesterday & I'm very happy with how it turned out.

This board was designed in PhotoShop and was created with BoardPusher.com. Not a bad price for a high-quality custom deck!

Interior of the house in Lauderdale, MN (showing speaker cabinet built by Wayne), autumn 1957. The Eames chairs were purchased in 1952 for $34 each. We still have one of them.

Mr. Eames demanded we hang the lights, for he was feeling rather festive.

Oh the little joys in life.....

I just got this lamp base from an awesome Ebay seller (and I had the crazy brass-rimmed vintage lamp shade from Craigslist for a few months back)

I LOVE, love finding a lamp that is in such great condition.

I know NASA spent a gazillion bucks landing the new rover on Mars, but I can see this lamp landing on some planet too! :)

(they don't make 'em like this any more)

From Inception. Played by Tom Hardy. He might be my favorite character, probably because of the accent.

The hair is a modded Mutt hair piece. I'm rather proud of what I did with that Indy torso.

This was painted by me.

San Francisco retailer Limn asked four interior designers to create looks using Vitra's iconic modern furniture. "Four by Four," the resulting exhibition that ran Nov. 2008 through Jan. 2009, included designer Nicole Hollis's fresh take on a library nook. Verner Panton's Amoebe Highback chair (1970) is at left, while Charles and Ray Eames's La Chaise (1948) lounges beneath a chinchilla throw in the corner.

The latest addition to our layout is the Eames House, also known as Case Study No. 8. Built in 1949 by a husband and wife design team, Charles and Ray Eames, this home was designed as part of a case study competition sponsored by Arts & Architecture magazine.

The Eames Lounge Chair and ottoman are furnishings made of molded plywood and leather, designed by Charles and Ray Eames for the Herman Miller furniture company. They are officially titled Eames Lounge (670) and Ottoman (671) and were released in 1956 after years of development by designers. It was the first chair that the Eameses designed for a high-end market. Examples of these furnishings are part of the permanent collection of New York's Museum of Modern Art.
