This is a commemorative series of chairs I love, and have either owned or will someday own.

My favorite spot for having a cup of coffee. The little vase is an antique replica porcelain milk bottle by Alyssa Ettinger. It makes me happy every time I see it.

I had some fun re-arranging my home office and did this little shoot for gags.
Mad Men 1985-1996. If Don Draper had a home office in the late 80s to mid 90s, this would be it.
He’d use QuarkXpress on an Apple Powerbook to review his ads. He’d use a Braun Dieter Rams calculator.
The desk setup would have to be swanky like the George Nelson Swag Leg Desk, Tolomeo Lamp, and Herman Miller Eames Aluminum Group Softpad Task Chair. His camera would be a Leica and he’d wear Swiss timepieces like a Speedmaster Pro or GMTMaster. If he re-married another French Canadian or extensively travelled, might have picked up TinTin memorabilia. He'd still shoot with a vintage Leica rangefinder.
With the exception of the Mac Powerbook, these are all vintage, iconic designs. Some as old as 60 years old. Nelson desk 1958, Speedmaster Pro designed in 1957, Eames Aluminum Group designed in 1969. Most of which have been in continuous production.

A row of colorful Eames Elephant chairs (in plastic, not plywood) are part of the Christmas window display of a furniture store in Rapperswil, Swizerland.
We just finished moving our stuff in to the new house about a week ago. I Found an IKEA desk on Craigslist that is bigger than my last and gives me more room for my sewing machine and laptop. I've finally decided to put my Eames shell chair to good use and it's the best chair ever! The only thing that I don't like about the room is the industrial blue carpeting :(
I absolutely adore the view, it's so inspiring.
These are some of my favourite images from a vintage house of cards set designed by Charles Eames.
