Photos taken for reference in needlework I'm doing for the 500 year anniversary of the Chapel Dedication.
I'm putting them here for edification of the rest of the aficionados of misericords as well.
The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
Typeface: Baskerville
For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
I would that ye all spake with tongues but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.
Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?
And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?
For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?
So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air.
There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.
Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me.
Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.
Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.
For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest?
For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified.
I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:
Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.
Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.
In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.
Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?
But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:
And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.
How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.
But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.
If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.
For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.
And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.
And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?
If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.
Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.
Let all things be done decently and in order.

Rossauer Barracks
9th district
The Rossauer Barracks should be together with Franz Joseph's Barracks and the arsenal part of a planned fortress triangle, which should provide protection against internal unrest. On 1 August 1864, ground was broken for the construction of the barracks in the Rossau. Full six years took the edification, and 5 July 1870 the entire area was handed over and the first troops moved. The Barracks underwent several alterations and changes of use over time. During World War II falling bombs destroyed the Danube side infantry officer tract completely, but then it was mostly true to the original rebuilt.
The Rossauer barracks is built in the style of late romantic historicism and recalls the medieval fortress architecture with towers, battlements, attachments and eaves. The equipment of the barracks was already inadequate and doubtful designed in the early days when it came to spatial proportions and sanitation. It was sometimes the story that the architect committed suicide because he had forgotten to install toilets. The barracks offered after their completion accommodation for 2,900 men and 390 horses. Next to it 99 officers flats of different sizes, 43 apartments for married officers, a chapel and office spaces were housed. The building has huge proportions. The length is 269m and width of 136m. In the barracks there are three large courtyards. Due to the proximity to the water, when building a very strong foundation was needed, which is located on about 30,000 pilots. It is worthwhile to make the approximately 850m long walk around the building.

his elegant assembly room was considered one of the crown jewels of the Fordyce. Both a social and cultural center, the area was used for concerts as well as private socializing. Both sexes could meet their friends here, read their letters, listen to the music, or participate in games. The direct overhead rays of the sun are filtered though soft tinted stained glass. Here, John Fordyceâs collection of Indian relics was displayed âfor the edification of the bathers,â in special cases added to the hall by 1934.
Visit the thatched cottage village of Kerascoët Just a stone's throw from the coastal path, take a detour to the charming thatched cottage hamlet of Kerascoët in Névez! With family or friends, step back in time as you discover these little granite cottages with thatched roofs and their stone lean-tos. Welcome to Kerascoët! A small thatched cottage village near Pont-Aven, the hamlet of Kerascoët in Névez welcomes you for a journey through time. A must-see during your vacation, this picturesque hamlet, located about 500 meters from the sea and the coastal path, will charm you with its authenticity. The thatched cottages of Kerascoët While strolling along the coastal path between Raguenez and Rospico, don't hesitate to make a detour to the hamlet of Kerascoët. This small village, once populated by weavers, seems to have miraculously sprung from the 15th century, the period in which its construction is believed to date. All the elements of a fairytale village are present: charming little houses with thatched roofs, blue shutters, flowerbeds bursting with hydrangeas, an ancient well, and a bread oven in the main square… Thatched roofs… Did you know? Thatch was once the most common roofing material in Brittany. A byproduct of rye cultivation, it offered the advantages of good thermal insulation and low production costs. However, the mechanization of agriculture, by altering the quality of rye straw at harvest time, heralded the decline of thatched cottages and favored the use of slate roofs. Today, however, we are seeing a revival of thatched roofing, a renewable material. Today, the thatched cottages of Kerascoët retain their authenticity solely through the dedication of their owners, who are committed to preserving the traditional features of their homes. ...and standing stones As you stroll through the narrow streets of Kerascoët, you might notice one of the local features of Trégunc and Névez: the standing stones. These granite orthostats come from fields where they were cut down to make way for crops. Reused as fences or house walls, you'll find them used to form lean-tos in Kerascoët. Keep your eyes peeled!
