I took today's image this evening inside Coventry Cathedral. This was just after watching my Daughter sing in the Cathedral choir for the Ascension day service. The view is of the Chapel of Christ in Gethsemane. This small chapel is located just to the right of where the large Iconic tapestry hangs. The mural in the chapel depicts an Angel holding the Cup of suffering. The screen that encloses the chapel is a representation of Christ's Crown of Thorns. The chapel screen was designed by Sir Basil Spence, he was also the architect of the New Cathedral.
The photo was taken using the App ExposerGL on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Snapseed to edit the picture. I cropped and straightened the image. I then added the Tonal Contrast preset. I also boosted the saturation, contrast, vibrance and Warmth of the mural. Next I used the app ShockMyPic to help boost the contrast of the image a little more. I then used the app Dynamic Light. I used the Normal preset on the image to help warm up the lighting of the chapel. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Recover Highlights preset, the Vibrant FX, a vignette style called Deep Focus, used to blur the edges of the image. I then added the Stucco texture and the Antique frame.

My iPhone 4 just keeps on getting better - today I found a cool app called Dynamic Light. I love the possibilities this opens up for me and it's something else my olde 2003 Power Mac cannot do for me.... this is my first attempt at a little HDR fiddle! :)
I need a new Apple Mac! lol
Here's the original flickr upload I made a lifetime ago:

Look at the old and compare to the new.
I'm impressed with the results but always open to comments and advice!

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!
beneath the towering steel and glowing lights of madrid chamartÃn, the station breathes a mechanical rhythm. the blue light drips down like cold rain, cutting through the red warmth below, creating a clash of temperature and tone. figures blur past, nameless and fleeting, their motion a whisper against the stillness of the architecture. the towering pillars and metallic surfaces feel eternal, indifferent to the lives they shelter. this is a space of transit, where time slows for the structure but rushes for the people.
caught in a fleeting moment, this scene captures a man mid-stride, stepping through the interplay of light and shadow on a sunlit street. his figure is mirrored perfectly in the wet pavement below, creating a dual reality where the ordinary becomes extraordinary. the reflection ripples slightly, as if the street itself were contemplating his movement. the sharp contrast of black and white adds drama, pulling attention to the textures of the wet cobblestones and the crisp silhouette of the walker. the urban backdrop, with its shop signs and shadows, frames the scene, grounding it in the vibrant chaos of everyday city life. it is a moment of quiet poetry amidst the rush, a snapshot of human existence reflected in the heart of the city.
