My smiling face in my lit makeup mirror captured with Liquid Lens, a new app for me. I liked the curves at the bottom so ran a copy through the Backlit scene in Camera+ to get rid of my face, rotated it 180 degrees, cropped the bottom half and then created a fading transparency gradient in Eraser on my iPad. Merged that into the top of the original with Image Blender. Played with the result in Snapseed to bring out some contrast and color tones. Ran the result of that through Dynamic Light's Orton filter to soften the arches a bit and partially blended that back in to the contrast adjusted version. Phew! It was mostly playing with things to see what they would do to it. A lot of steps for a pretty simple result, but I like it. Liquid Lens is pretty fun in itself - very psychedelic!

The photo is executed in technique «LightGraphic » or «The painting of light», that assumes illumination of model by small light sources in darkness on long endurance.
Thus, all lightcloth (composition) - is one Photo Exposition, is embodied on a matrix of the camera in one click of a shutter.
We submit the sample photos in this series in three-nine-square.

matnic17: You have an interesting stream. I wish I had the discipline to stick with a theme for 16 shots.
so_jane: @matnic17 I'm a collector. I have 100's of manhole photos from everyplace I've been since 2006! Habit. Curiosity. ;-)

I used my iPhone a *lot* during our recent weekend getaway to Mexico. I'm really enjoying messing around with the tons of camera and processing apps that I have, and the results I come out with.
Taken with Pro HDR, processed with Camera+, Dynamic Light, and PictureShow.

This started as an edit of a railroad tracks snapshot and ended up somewhere completely different. Always fun when that happens. Buildings become acccent lines, trees become scratchy textures, and perspective becomes an artistic device, thanks to layers and blending modes. These tracks went on a journey of their own.
Picture taken with iPhone 3GS and edited on iPhone and iPad (universal Apps). This is a panorama made of 3 pictures. Apps used: AutoStitch, Dynamic Light, MonoPhix, Live FX.

The Military Hill caves, four man made caves set into a chalk ridge set back from the road.
Plenty of graffiti adorns the walls inside, with some examples dating to 1826. Whilst their true purpose is unknown, it is likely that they were excavated to provide lime for mortar for the construction of the Western Heights defences.
The cave entrances have long been sealed with large chalk blocks, graffiti dated 1907 gives an indication of the earliest date this might have happened.
Had a big day today. Up early for a sunrise shoot, then to breakfast with the crew. Home shortly after to prepare for a guy we organised to collect some rubbish we have stockpiled since we started a new year cleanup/dejunk. Then to Bob Jane's for a puncture repair [my first puncture for 13 years; I was wondering why on the way to and from the sunrise shoot the steering was pulling to the left a bit!]
Thought we deserved a break so went next door to the Commonwealth Hotel for a beer before heading into Darby for a meal at Viet King this evening.
This panoramic was shot at the Commonwealth Hotel. Didn't that first beer go down well!
