The bird in the top of the shot and the one behind the flapping wings bird in the original have always bugged me. I think Retouch did a decent job of taking them out.

As always, a photo each day for 365 days. All shot and edited using Apps on my iPhone 5.
The photo was taken using the camera App ProCamera for iPhone. The original image can be found below.
First of all I used PhotoToaster to edit the image. The edits were made by applying the Oil Paint filter then sharpening the image and boosting the saturation. Next I used the app Dynamic Light with the Orton preset effect. Finally I used the App Romantic Photo to add a painterly effect to the image using the Golden Memories Light Tint filter.
The original photo was taken this morning just before lunchtime. It is an image of the New Coventry Cathedral of St Michael. The Cathedral that was built to replace the older St Michael Cathedral (located next door) that was destroyed during the Blitz on Coventry in World War II. It is said that the New Cathedral that was designed by Sir Basil Spence and built between 1956 & 1962, is one of the most iconic and significant architectural commissions in the second half of the 20th century in the United Kingdom.
The Cathedral building is is a Grade I Listed building and is number 3 on my list of 19 (Grade I) Listed buildings in Coventry that I hope to photograph. It is also the newest Grade I building on this list.
The lip of this handicap accessible urinal, in a small restaurant, was below the top of my leather winter boots. USA handicap accessible regulations state the lip of one public urinal must be mounted no higher than 17-inches above the floor. The paper towel dispenser, on the opposite wall, was mounted at the upper limit of usability for a non-handicap person, and further blocked by a large trash can.

2017/07/05 - For me this festival kicks off summer.. this was a hot sticky night with cool music flowing over the crowd outdoors.. nothing beats it.

"Descent." This is the entry into the North Hollywood Metro Station. James Doolin - station design artist, Anne Marie Karlsen - tile mural artist, and Tanzmann Associates - architects, 2000. Tile murals reflecting on the history of the area. To quote from the online artist statement, "The task was to transform a potentially impersonal and gloomy hole in the ground into a space that provides a pleasant adventure upon entering."

Today we've spent most of the day travelling from Piteå to Kramfors about 6 hours in total. Just finished todays gig in Kramfors and it was another good one!
My ankle has been painful again today which has meant that I haven't really been able to get around very easily. I managed to get a photo though, so that's good.
