Between me and the other world is a dynamic exploration of scholar and civil rights leader W.E.B. DuBois' concept of "double consciousness". This performance installation has been created in collaboration with composer Anthony Brown, media artist David Szlasa, scenic designer Sean Riley and performing artists Jetta Martin, Raissa Simpson, Rashidi Omari and Matthew Wickett, who together have created an immersive environment that evokes the identity duality described in DuBois' seminal work.

Stunning views of the Seven Sisters cliffs, a wealth of wildlife and the dynamic atmosphere making Birling Gap a place to discoing, explore and enjoy. Sometimes quiet and serene, sometimes wild and dramatic, this is an inspiring place to visit whatever the time of year.
Birling Gap is a coastal hamlet within the parish. It is situated on the Seven Sisters not far from Beachy Head and is owned by the National Trust. Coastal erosion has already removed some of the row of coastguard cottages built in 1878, and those that remain are still inhabited. There is a cafe, shop and visitor centre there, run by The National Trust, and a large metal staircase leading down to the enclosed pebble beach and the Seven Sisters chalk cliffs. It is likely that soon it will no longer exist because the amount of erosion is so large that all the houses will have to be demolished before they fall into the sea, and because the houses are not worth enough, the Government will not place a sea defence in the way. If walkers are cut off at high tide, they can climb the ladder, which is replaced often, to Birling Gap.
This one is taken cycling down the Schellingwouderbrug after a visit at Durgerdam (near Amsterdam). No Photoshop just a slow shutterspeed and the right moment.

The germans call it "Boule" but the real name of the game is Pétanque and probably all over the world played mostly by elderly guys. I couldn't resist and took a few shots. Not only the boys but also the light was fine.
