The 142s may be long gone from Devon but their Pacer cousins continue. GWR's 143603, in now-obsolete FGW blue and like its classmates previously used in the North East and Wales, calls at Exeter Central with a service from Exmouth on 6 August 2016. Central has long been the city's second station behind St David's, but its usage has more than doubled in the last decade following service improvements on both the Exmouth branch and the line to London Waterloo.

A visit to Our Dynamic Earth resulted in more shots being taken outside the exhibition spaces than within them - this tethered bicycle captured our photographic imagination! Tweaking includes contrast enhancement, posterisation and ink outlines... my educational outings with Sarah & Maree have encouraged me to look beyond the raw image :)

Springing into action as this year proves to be early. This pair of love birds ( Canada Geese ) are so protective of their property as squatters rights on the river bank below are now in session. They protect a area of embankment from top to bottom.I very much enjoy watching all aspects of nesting that procure their yearly existence !

fotografía abstracta • abstract photography

No digital retouching or manipulation. Sin retoque ni manipulación digital.

I want my abstract photographs to be judged as images —the feelings they stir, their composition, the colours—, not as “what is it?” as if photography mattered only as much as the subjet it captures on file or film.

Quiero que mis fotografías abstractas sean juzgadas como imágenes —los sentimientos que provocan, su composición, su color—, y no como “pero, ¿qué es?” como si la razón de ser de una foto fuera equivalente al sujeto que caputra en archivo o película.
