A dwarf crocodile in Bristol Zoo. It isn't that much of a dwarf as these reptiles can grow up to 190cm in length but the Nile Crocodile can reach a length of up to 5 metres!
One of the B&O tracks through Mitchell, Ind., was a siding. The dwarf signal shown protected eastward movements on the siding (left) over the crossing with the former Monon.
Dwarf cars are usually run with a motorcycle engine in them. They don't race them around here as far as I know I would love to see them race though. Wee cars at high speed can't get much better than that.

Handmade clay dwarf
Materials: natural clay, cotton fabrics, merino’s wool, felt, gold metal pin
I had a great time making this magical fantastic creature of the woods, a bit gnome and a bit elf is a dwarf pin that can decorate any corner of the house or clothes. The base is made by natural clay, after drying, I painted it and finally dressed it with cotton and felt fabric scraps. The hair are in soft merinos wool. Unique and original this doll looks a bit funny and ironic. Since I was a child I have always been fascinated by the "fairy world" with its small magical creatures that populate the woods.
The measures are about : 11 cm x 6 cm, the arms and legs are mobile, it can be pinned or standing up or sitting. The pin is wired on the back.
I hope you like it because I really did it with my heart and all my fantasy!

The Oriental dwarf kingfisher (Ceyx erithaca), also known as the black-backed kingfisher or three-toed kingfisher, is a species of bird in the family Alcedinidae.
This is a small, red and yellow kingfisher, averaging 13 cm (5.1 in) in length, yellow underparts with glowing bluish-black upperparts. A widespread resident of lowland forest, it is endemic across much of the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. It is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.
The preferred habitat is small streams in densely shaded forests. In the Konkan region of southwest India, it begins to breed with the onset of the southwest monsoon in June. The nest is a horizontal tunnel up to a metre in length. The clutch of four or five eggs hatches in 17 days with both the male and female incubating. The birds fledge after 20 days and a second brood may be raised if the first fails. The young are fed with geckos, skinks, crabs, snails, frogs, crickets, and dragonflies. The rufous-backed kingfisher is sometimes considered a subspecies.

Second fold of "Dwarf", by Eric Joisel.
Folded by me from a 38cm square of a kraft / foil / kraft sheet.
The result is 15 cm high.
It's rather a test fold, i hope the second one will be far better and cleaner.
It is fold from a guided CP, found in the 13th Tanteidan Convention Book. The help septs give a base, then the rest is the work of the folder.
I think it's a very good excercice, and very gratifying. It require the folder to reflect, think ahead, and not just to fold blindly.
Thanks mister Joisel.
Manu Birding Lodge, Madre de Dios, Peru. These are rare crocodiles that inhabit small streams. There's two species, Paleosuchus trigonatus and P. palpebrosus, in South America and I'm not 100% certain which species this is but it's probably P. palpebrosus. These crocodiles are mainly nocturnal.
OSU researchers have made an important advance with genetic engineering in forestry, allowing them to produce dwarf trees through genetic manipulation. The stumpy mutant shown here is only about one-fourth the size of a normal tree after both had grown more than one year in a greenhouse. The findings have been published in the journal Plant Physiology. Date: 2003 (contributed photo). To see story go to oregonstate.edu/ua/ncs/archives/2003/jul/genetic-research...
The passengers are waiting for the train to arrive. There's a noble lady and the dwarf king. The crates to the right is filled with precious gems that are to be delivered to the big castle. On the balcony there is a dwarf watch keeper.
An early attempt at painting...I'll get better at some point!
