These littles beauties really put on a show at my home this year.....I de-sharpened a bit for a dreamy effect.....because when I dream about flowers..they always look like this ;-)

The Dwarf Minke Whale migrates from Antarctica to warmers waters of the Great Barrier Reef during the southern winter. Cod Hole Reef, Northern Great Barrier Reef. Australia.
Dwarf Cinquefoil (Potentilla canadensis) - Suburban New Jersey, 25 miles west of "The City" (NYC)
These guys are often confused with buttercups, but when you look at the leaves they are indeed quite different.
These Dwarf Cinquefoils can often be found along the edges of lawns in woodsy areas where you're more likely to find people who don't use weed killers on their lawns.

'cause it was a bright cloudy day and I think those days are a great time to take pics of bright subjects with subtle details.
And I sometimes wait for clouds (on days with patchy clouds) to take advantage of the semi-diffused lighting on the edges of clouds as the they travel across the face of the sun.

A dozen varieties of lion fish inhabit tropical seas. The range of the Dwarf Lionfish extends south to the temperate waters of coastal New South Wales. This exquisite little fish was about 6 cm long and found swimming comfortably in 15 Degrees Celsius.
