Far over the misty mountains cold
To dungeons deep and caverns old
We must away ere break of day
To seek the pale enchanted gold.
The dwarves of yore made mightly spells,
While hammers fell like ringing bells
In places deep, where dark things sleep,
In hollow halls beneath the fells.
Great warriors of the dwarf kingdom with advanced weaponry like flamethrowers.

The EMD power on NS P60 dwarfs the appropriately-named dwarf signal, located at the West End of theClaremont (NC) siding.
This is Mifko, about a month old dwarf hammy. I adopted him from my friend (they got dwarf babies).
He traveled with me more than a three hours from another city (by bus). When I brought him home, I had to go on another trip the next day so he left with my mum for a week.
Now we get to know each other, he's a little shy but I have already taken him into hand.
He looks almost exactly like Lucky, so I just had to take him....
Mifko says Hi to flickr :-)

One more company of mighty Dwarfs
Thunderers are those Dwarfs that have been trained in the use and maintenance of a customized handgun or firearms, forming into their own regiments of armor-piercing missile infantry. It took many, many years after the Dwarfs had discovered the revolutionary use of black powder before the handgun became widely used as a weapon.
Standing in closely packed ranks, Thunderers take aim and then discharge their handguns — unleashing a thunderous fury and a cloud of gun smoke.
The little known dwarf minke whale was only discovered in Great Barrier Reef (GBR) waters during the 1980s, and research into its biology and ecology has only recently begun.
During the 1990s, live-aboard dive tour operators in the Cairns section of the GBR began reporting in-water interactions with these whales along the Ribbon Reefs during the winter months.
Much remains unknown about these whales including population and migration patterns. We have no idea where are those whales out of those 2-3 winter months.
The Minke Whale Project fund has been set up by James Cook University to support research into dwarf minke whale biology, behaviour and sustainable wildlife tourism interactions. Donations can be made at www.minkewhaleproject.org/

Northern Bush Honeysuckle (a.k.a. Low Bush Honeysuckle, Dwarf Bush Honeysuckle, Yellow-flowered Upright Honeysuckle; Diervilla lonicera) - Penny Lake Preserve, Boothbay Harbor, Maine
Due to my preconceived ideas of what a honeysuckle should look like I didn't recognize this plant at all, and was at a total loss regarding the ID. So now I guess I'll have to rethink my ideas of what a honeysuckle is, thanks to this guy!
My thanks to Jamestown Audubon Community Nature Center for their help with this ID.
Dwarf designed by Eric Joisel, folded by me from guided CP, with an approx 50cm lokta. The result is 19cm.
I tried this time to dampen progressivly and harder for me, patiently. Even if i think the technic could be improved again, with a more pragmatic way to model & dampen simultaneously.
The most difficult part was to make it stand on his legs, cause the paper is heavy, pretty thick and limp, despite the use of MC.
Helogale parvula
Often overlooked in trips into the bush, these endearing animals seemed to be as inquisitive about me as I was in them.
This young Dwarf Mongoose came out to greet the early crowd on Saturday. His/her parents were close by keeping an eye the youngster.
