A Damphire and her bat! A commission of a really neat character I had the pleasure of painting. I loved the little bat But her horn design was also very interesting. I like the idea of the 'broken halo'.
After her recent haggis-bashing massacre, #FlossyFleecefoot quickly became smitten by the power contained within the unassuming Fortune’s Frond.
Despite her better judgment, Flossy started to fantasise about what mysteries the four-leafed clover would bestow upon the animal who dared to actually eat this mythical meal.
Weak with desire, she chowed down.
…
Without even adding a basic salad dressing, Fortune’s Frond was devoured in seconds. With her tummy full and curiosity satiated, Flossy was a little confused as to why she felt so hollow inside.
The hollowness soon turned into mild indigestion, and then chronic heartburn. Flossy tried to forage for some peppermint leaves, but before long she was bent over in crippling agony. And then the transformation started…
The only witness to this herbal horror was Margaret, but despite their lifelong friendship, she bailed at the first opportunity. Margaret was always a smart bear and knew her Flossy was gone.
From the shadows stepped forward Flossy’s final form – ‘Ovinus Maximus’, a black sheep filled with bile and hatred for all things cute.
This woolly nightmare headed straight for her hometown, where cuteness was always considered a key strength (spoiler - it’s not).
By nightfall, Ovinus Maximus reached the village outskirts and encountered a lone farmer tending to his cute pumpkin patch. With only a brittle wooden rake to defend himself, he quickly abandoned both the tool and any future life goals. Dropping to his knees, the farmer wasted his final breath pleading for mercy…

THE LICH'S LAIR.
Here we have my third entry into the #halloweenhabitats25 and #letsbuildhalloween2 challenges over on Instagram! Again, continuing the theme of undead D&D enemies, we have a lich in his lair. I tried multiple tile patterns before eventually settling on this one, attempting to convey the grandiose taste of a creature that pursues eternal life/undeath. If there's one thing liches have, it's a flair for the dramatic, right? Collected in the lich's lair, we see a bit of everything, including some of his favorite trinkets, one of his favorite spells, a lovely still-life from one of his favorite artists, his grimoire with his nastiest and most profane magic, and of course, the captured souls of many adventurers which he'll use to one day feed his phylactery! Clearly, he's brought some more with thim, however--I wonder where he'll find the space to store them? As always, for lore: read on!
In the world of D&D, liches are powerful spellcasters who have taken on the mission to learn and conduct dark, unholy rituals that tether their soul permanently to their body, even after death. While their spirits inhabit their bodies, the flesh and its innards continue to rot away, leaving the lich with a rather macabre visage. They often dress themselves in fineries, which convey the quality of enlightenment they tend to claim they've achieved in their abominable state of being. Liches undergo the process of trapping their souls within a vessel known as a phylactery, which they often keep heavily guarded, or even hidden and inconspicuous, to avoid being destroyed by self-righteous heroes. To destroy a lich's phylactery is to destroy its safety net of regenerating after its physical form is slain. Thus, it is left vulnerable, and capable of being extinguished. A lich will fight with all its might to avoid having its broader ambitions cut short by a setback such as being slain again, and will employ devastating magic and traps to deter intruders that would infiltrate its lair.

Dearest journal, it's me again Tythos.
A lot has happened since i last had time to write, so our friend mister Whisper told my friends an i we should go to school and learn some stuff about the weird buildings that sometimes show p after the ground shakes. so we did, getting there was hard, and required us to swim, we puts the door to a school in a lake? stupid magic people.
so we get in and there is this weird trapped room that sets us on fire and freezes us and stuff, it hurt a lot, so i shot an arrow at the machine in the middle, it broke and a big stone monster with horns came out.... oops, my fault. after we killed it i took it's horns, because stupid meanies don't deserve horns!
we finally make it to the school it's self. we are shown out rooms, they were weird and creepy, fun though, then some weird stuff happened, we were told to go to the fey wild, which sounded like lots of fun! but my friend Fredrick couldn't go, the door kept closing on him. so i used one of my special arrows to send him to the fey wild, cause i can do that some times. he came back and said there was an evil version of him that tried to kill him! how mean!
The teacher came in and asked what happened, so we told him, he didn't believe me, so i shot him! you know, to send him to the fey wild too, he was on fire when he came back, evil Frederick had friends this time and they beat mister teacher up! then he told me the fey wild is too dangerous and i'm not alot to use my banishing magic anymore. then sir Whisker used some of his weird brain magic on the teacher, i don't remember why, but the teacher didn't like that, so he punished the whole group with the job of recruiting more magic people.
We left the school and we about to start handing out the flyers, but Cassandra saw a bird and chased it! understandable, i do that sometimes too. it's fun! but when we caught up to her she was fighting a big lizard with five heads! there was a snake lady there too she wasn't very nice, she said Cassandra was competing in a contest, but it wasn't a fair contest and i hate cheaters! so i jumped in as did my other friends! i killed the lizard! Cassie called it a "hydra" then my bow did that weird thing it sometimes does and shot some weird beam at the snake lady, she froze up and fell to the ground. we tried to ask why she was being mean, but a bird landed near her and shot her with magic lightning and she died, how rude!
when we got back to the town there was a party! i love parties! there was dancing, and food and wine! and i fought and beat the towns toughest fighter in hand to head combat! then the party ended when some people from the school showed up, the magistrate he called himself was very nosy and snobby, Cassandra talked to him and then we all had to do something, he sat us down on the floor and said we would find out past selves, what does that mean?!?
So now we are all in this weird place, the city looks dead and it's super super spooky! i don't like it, we keep seeing these statues that show us visions of the past, before this city died, visions of people celebrating very bad things like enslaving my fellow wild folk, it was sad and scary! Cassie and i are the only ones who can see these weird black threads pulling us toward something. Sir Whisker is clearing the bath with his druid magic as i write this, i don't know what's waiting for us on the other side of this sickly wall of....wrong looking vines, but something tells me this is the last chance i'll get to write in you journal. i hope one day i'll get a chance to tell Io i don't hate her, but i always try to be better than her because she's my friend and the only one who can challenge me. i hope i get to see Oikos again! i don't want to be an adventurer anymore, i'm scared!

The Adventurers known as the Ravens ventured into the city of Lemnos in awe of this massive beautiful city. From the gates they could see hundreds of homes stretching across a large stretch of mountain that angled down towards the sea. Dominating Lemnos was a rather large Colosseum, home to famous Gladiator fights. The party briefly explored the city and stopped off inside a local Tavern for food and a much needed rest. As they surveyed the party noticed that Oriana, one of the members of the prestigious Meejay council was seated at a booth in the back, guarding her was a very large and imposing Goliath male. Sekarr flinched. A Goliath had murdered his family, and while this wasn’t the one responsible, he had a hatred for their kind. Sekarr split off from the party with a deep rage in his heart. The party spoke to Oriana and her and Koruel seemed to be having a more involved discussion, he even received a present from her, that he kept hidden from the part. Everyone had barely settled into the discussion when Sekarr attacked the Goliath, launching an arrow into his eye, blinding him. Oriana stopped the quarrel quickly with her very refined magic, and The Ravens left the tavern with haste. The party found themselves an Inn and began an intervention with Sekarr asking him what he was thinking. While it was hard for him to stop feeling the rage he felt for the race that killed his loved ones, he realised how close he had grown to his new family, The Ravens, and he refused to put them in harms way for his own selfish acts. He promised he’d better control his emotions in future. The when night came the party rested, but others along with The Red Mantis explored the city looking for signs of what may well be an attack from The Order. They spied some hooded figures, but little else. Koruel and Genlen found a shop run by a rather bizarre Dwarf named Justifer. The two of them bought some rare weapons including a FlameTongue and a Frostbrand Sword.
Morning came and Sekarr, Lia and Thia signed up to participate in the Colosseum tournament that was happening in a few hours. They had suspicions that the Order may strike from there, and they also worried that Savarious, the man who murdered Sekarr’s family may well be participating in the tournament too. With butterflies in the stomach they entered the arena, not sure what would come exit.
To Be Continued…
After the last image that was cold and wintry I thought it would be nice to have another creation to balance it out. Hence a warm and summery image. The white tiger had to be in the shot as he is just so cool :)
remade a previous fig with a few tweaks, the primary being the custom stickering on the hat, all done with leftover Lego sticker sheets. Those thin stickers were challenging but I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Priscilla answered for the pair, "Priscilla Bramblewhisk of the Squirrelling Rangers, and, uh, Yarrow... of the wanderers?" She didn't sound convinced in this answer herself. Priscilla drew up her quarterstaff ready to defend herself, while Yarrow slowly lifted his magnifying staff to see who was talking ahead of him.
Let's go back in time, when there still were Dragons about.
Dragons? Can't we start a wee bit smaller?
Oh come on! Are you a sissy or an adventurer?
If I have the choice I'd rather be an alive sissy than a famous but dead adventurer...
Can't hear you, my magic is crackling so loud!

You sure we're on the right way to the tavern?
Yes, of course! DM rolled on orientation, this is a shortcut.
(around the bend)
You and your darn shortcuts, Sven!
You and your darn nagging, Olaf! It's fun, isn't it?
Yeah, okay. They ran like rabbits!
Maybe we'll find some more of these "Adventurers"?

For those not familiar with DnD rules - rolling a one is an utter failure.
You can see that I am not familiar with indoor photography. You can rarely have motion in the legs when shooting outdoors with wind and gravel, so I completely forgot to move the legs of Sven and Olaf. When I realised it, the sun had already given way to heavy downpour (and my patience was already exhausted) so I left it like that. You wouldn't have noticed anyway.
Oh, and after a bit more than seven years, this is the first picture of the Dwarf from series 17.
Toy Project Day 3324
No story attached, just some weeny shrooms. It's still too dry for real mushrooms, but a bit of dampness was enough to sprout these.
Toy Project Day 3709
Continuing a run of 5.5 MOTU-style pics, this is Kry-sis facing off with some arachnid men.
I love this figure, but I switched out the oversized axe with a Mythic Legions blade for a more classic "sword and shield" look.
So who is going to Brickvention 2018?

verry small!
Didn't you brag yesterday how big you are?
Maybe, but there were nobody with a sword and a wooden witching stick...

Goblins aren't the tallest of creatures, but they'll absolutely take every advantage they can get or build.
When quarreling with a witch, at least be polite, and never ever draw your weapon on her, bcause you might end as a toad. When she's nice, there are worse endings.
This is something that I've tried all summer long, but never really managed to get it right. This summer was much too dry, so there weren't many toads about, and of course, they preferred the dark and damp spots, which didn't exactly help photographing.
Had some difficulties to get the big camera (pic 1) down to eye height (well, I can't without digging a hole) so I gave it a 2nd trial with the smartphone (pic 2) - which has an even smaller DOF.

A multi-character commission for a long running storyline. This was a fun project and I'm very fond of the characters.

Just a fun little mimic I made a few years ago and only just now got around to taking pictures.

A half elf arcane archer with a shady past. Let's just say he's got some demons following him, literally and figuratively.
Having fun with old brickforge parts (potion, bow, arrow, ammo pouch). A reformed-criminal bounty-hunter type character I've been cooking up for Dungeons and Dragons.
Enough of this!
I'll lock the door on this year and don't want to see it ever again!
Toy Project Day 3442
My new entry for this mythical challenge that celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons, when I imagined this MOC I wanted a single image to immediately make the subject understood .. I therefore chose to be inspired by the poster of the challenge itself .. best image could I use? ... the limit of pieces imposed unfortunately prevented me from adding other characters, only for the dragon I had to use 1302 pieces, but I hope this does not affect the final result and that it may be to your liking
