The tournament at the Colosseum was well underway. Lia, Sekarr and Thia were waiting in the training area, weighing up the competition seeing who they would need to face off with. Sekarr desperately searched to see if his nemesis, the man who murdered his family, Savarious was there. He found nothing. The Red Mantis met with the group and offered them weapons that Genlen and Koruel had bought them, and Tyloris offered to join the first round of the tournament too.
The four of them entered the arena for the first round of fighting. Magic was banned in the match, and Thia attempted a cheeky spell to get the upper hand, but this move was noticed by the judges and she was disqualified. She left the arena and sat with Genlen and Koruel who were watching in the audience. The three of them kept an eye out for suspicious behaviour, fearing an attack from the Order would arrive soon... nothing… But they did spy some suspicious cloaked men, Genlen and Koruel left to pursue them, and Thia stayed behind in case something bad happened here.
The 1st round was over and Lia, Sekarr and Tyloris were through to the next round. Sekarr and Lia spoke together in the training room and were met by Karr-Lara and Zykarr. Two Kobold from Sekarr's old tribe. The two were angry and bitter towards Sekarr since he had left the tribe, but he told them he had a higher purpose, to hunt the man who killed his family, Karr-Lara and Zykarr informed Sekarr they had the same mission now too. Savarious had returned and decimated the numbers of the Boneclaw and rival Bloodclaw clans. The tribes had now joined to stop Savarious and they asked Sekarr to also join them in stopping Savarious.... Sekarr declined saying he would do it with his new family, the Ravens, but he would help his tribe if they needed him.
Lia, Sekarr, Karr-Lara and Zykarr entered the arena for the final round, as did Tyloris, the muscular and powerful White Tiger, the equally imposing Iron Bear, Lugan a member of the Meejay council and the Colosseum Champion, who seemed to enter the arena in some sort of a daze ... and finally entering the arena was, Savarious. The Kobold's knew what they had to do... but Sekarr felt a new kinship to his friend Lia. Yes he had to put a stop to his nemesis... but he also had to protect her, and so he would. The fight began.
Thia realised the spell Lugan seemed to be under was also affecting members of the audience, they rose from their seats in an attempt to break people out of whatever was controlling them, but it was too late, Savarious roared screaming 'Hail The Order!' and the brainwashed crowd rose in unison and began attacking civilians. Explosions filled the air and hordes of ships baring the Order symbol streamed in from the sea. Koruel, Genlen and the Red Mantis raced towards the city to hopefully help save innocent lives and stop The Order. In the city they found Oriana controlling powerful elemental creatures that were laying waste to the city. They fought her and her Elementals, but she was far too strong, and Weylan, one of The Red Mantis was slain. Oriana halted her onslaught on Koruel and Genlen, lent over to Koruel and whispered something to him. Koruel feel to his knees in tears. Genlen was unsure of what was happening, but knew one thing, the city was in ruin and the Order could not be stopped, they had won this battle today. Oriana left the city.
Back in the arena Lia defeated the brainwashed Lugan and the Kobolds fought hard against Savarious. Lia aided them but was brutally beaten by Savarious. Sekarr stepped in to protect her, but he too was hurt and close to death. He fired countless arrows at his nemesis, each missing due to his fatigue, he tried but Savarious was just too powerful. Savarious raised his hammer to strike Lia, but Sekarr taunted him and his attention shifted, Sekarr had bought enough time for Lia to get to safety. Sekarr looked Savarious in his eyes and said, 'You may have taken my family, but at least now I can save this new one' And with that, Savarious raised his hammer, slamming it towards Sekarr, and with a powerful thud... Sekarr was no more.

Yet another beholder variant (reusing an earlier sculpt!!!), the Eye of Shadow is from the shadow realm, and can turn invisible. And teleport. As if Beholders weren't nasty enough already! You know, I wish they made the Eye of Chaos variant, but ah, well...
Not long ago I discovered Critical Role on Geek & Sundry. It's so addictive. I've been binging to get caught up.

D&D Collector's Chest:
This is one of my entries for the Lego Ideas D&D Challenge:
ideas.lego.com/s/ca:289a54fa970b432abff5b4256de1b99d
I have long loved the two cultural and imaginative icons of Lego and D&D. This build is a merger of the classic Lego treasure chest, and the functional D&D player box.
Set includes:
-Easily interchangeable personalized front panels, for the dungeon crawler or pirate on the high seas etc.
-The collectible silver minifigure is representative of the iconic pewter cast D&D character. One can collect as well as store their current character.
-Matching inset dice box and storage.
-Vertical holder for notepad and D&D spell cards.
-Gold coin. Chrome gold collectible mario, ninjago, space, and even gas coins have been made. I can't imagine a better context than the D&D 50th anniversary.
-As for the custom logo, I personally took the classic Lego dragon and combined it with the D&D logo.
"You reach out to push the orc off of the bridge; but instead, you lightly caress his back. He is now comfortable." -via D&D
A not so easy ourdoor picture in the low sun. I started with placing the door, then moving the figures around for casting shodows and visibility, until I took the pragmatich abbproach to place the figures, so that the girls doesn't make a shodow on the singer, and then put the doorway in between.
This picture is uploaded today, because in the afternoon we'll have our annual Adventsliedersingen (sining of advent carols) in the church.
If someone from Kiel reads this: 17Uhr in der Andreaskirche Wellingdorf.
For those who don't follow me on a daily basis: This is my take on an Advent Calendar - opening 24 doors in my Lego City.
Toy Project Day 3419
Commander Amara Elora's Log: Date Approximately the year 3835.
A lot has happened, i am writing this on paper as the technology level on this planet is limited. The last thing i remember before waking on this world was engaging an unknown enemy, with Captain Connors dead, i took command of the Shattered Star, the organic looking Enemy ship firing on us relentlessly. i fired everything we had at the tentacled vessel trying to by time for the crew to get a safe distance away in the escape pods. with the majority of the crew safe i attempted to jump to FTL, unfortunately the engines had sustained heavy damage during the exchange. with my escape rout blocked and my weapon systems failing i saw only one way out, though the alien ship! i was gambling on the chance that the Shattered Star's hull was strong enough to tear though the organic matter that makes up the alien's strange craft. maybe i was right? maybe i was wrong? i set a collision course, felt the impact, the next thing i knew, i woke up in a cocoon on this agrarian back water with a few others...
i awoke in a strange set of armor, it appeared to be made of wood, it also seemed some one had removed all my implants, my cybernetic arm was missing, as well as my neuro heads up display, cyber link even my adrenal accelerator. however once i broke free from this cocoon someone attempted to escape the room, i gave chase and soon after the others too. we captured and questioned the individual. to spoke a bunch on nonsensical superstition about reincarnation and souls taken from "the great wheel." one of the other, a woman of a race i've never seen before seemed to believe him saying she remembers her past self, and the person i was before this "reincarnation" a goat man with a drinking problem of all things!?! utterly ridiculous! before we could question the man further he transformed, his appearance was similar to the aliens that attacked the Shattered Star, but.... wrong, he looked sick, or somewhat.... decayed?it was a hell of a fight without my armor, my command of the cosmic forces are limited without my cybernetic amplifiers, and my left arm...
After we defeated this alien, we rested for the night, i had time to construct some crude tools and call upon the arcono-mites to turns the strangely strong wooden armor into proper power armor. shortly after it's death the alien's body began growing these unstable red crystals. crystals that reacted negatively to cosmic energy or "magic" as the others prefer to call it. a short time later, the crystals retracted and merged into some sort of powerful crystalline construct! my armor's pulse beam seemed of little use against the entity. but a well placed concussion grenade did the trick! with assistance from the others in the group of course. this group fights well together, despite being strangers just days earlier. though one of the group, a young woman named Kassandra seems a bit..... too into these crystals, they seems to have a narcotic effect. i'm hoping this doesn't become an issue in the future.
We then received a message from a telepath who speaks though genetically modified rodents, they informed us there is a ship in the swamp that can get us off this planet. i was very pleased to hear this, and more so that the others agreed. after a trek though the muck, and a tiff with some more modified rats, as well as some modified rats of unusually large size, we claimed the ship! it's shaped like an insect, a dragonfly. strange, it's made of wood, but is also somehow space worthy? hell it could be made of sticks and bedsheets for all i care as long as it will get us off this primitive dirtball!
Once we entered the ship, one of the group, Ivey a young Elven woman somehow bonded with the ship's navigation systems, a neuro interlink it seems, interesting, while searching our new vessel myself and the shapeshifting alien with multiple personalities Kayle/Luna/Diane found more of this red crystal powder, which we have taken to calling "spice." we waited until Kassandra was sleeping off her high before we hid the barrels in cargo bay 3, i've locked the door with a biometric interface, no one is getting in there. we also took a trip back to the village we awoke in, it was evacuated after the battle with the crystal construct. but they left behind supplies that could be useful, while Ivey familiarized herself with the ship's controls, i took to the forge and crafted a new weapon. it's a bit crude, and lacks the elegance of my hard light shield, but it will do the trick, ive added magnetic bindings to it so i don't lose track of it as well.
We are currently en-rout to speak with a man called Whisper, believed to be a member of the cult responsible for bringing us here. ive also discovered some star charts, and if they are accurate, it would imply that i've some how been sent 1000 years into the future?!? i hope that is an error, the thought of never again seeing my beloved Valria and Gar'rath pains me greatly. i need answers, now more than ever. and sleep....
-Commander Amara Elora, signing off.
Don't you dare!
Dare what?
Dunno. Whatever you're up to.
Strolling through the woods ain't allowed?
With a sword in the hand?
You never know whom you meet...
You've met me.
Fair enough. Are you dangerous?
In these woods? Of course I am!
(Jane sheathes her sword)
I miss the shashlik skewer for this kind of dangerous.
Oh no! Please tell me he's not around!
Toy Project Day 3333
Custom minifig made from the orc in CMF Series 24 and a Chima torso.
I have this early from TLG via BrickCentral for a photo shoot. US people might find the series on shelves already as well.
Before I get you on the way, I need to know where you are from and how you ended up here.
We wanted to see dragons. No idea how we ended up in some freaking metal house with no connection the the ground.
Oh, so you actually got it right. This is The Dragon, a space station in orbit around Sol 3.
The ones you're thinking about are mythical creatures that never existed.
But... but we have seen pictures of them!
Never trust a picture!

“It’s good to be king... Unleash the horde and wreak destruction upon my enemies! And then we shall claim this land as ours!” King No’glin after seeing the Starbucks in the valley below... Day 3670 Y11D17
A half Earth Genasi commission I had the pleasure of doing recently. The commissioner had a great vision of what their character was like, which made it easier to bring her to life! I loved doing the gold and sapphire veins.

In the Underdark near Menzoberranzan, Drizzt encounters one of the many minions of Lloth.
I'm not the world's biggest fan of Drizzt, but I love D&D and hope we get more figures.
These elves strayed deep into the ancient ruins, where they encountered my childhood Shambling Mound.
There's zero poseability to these old PVC figures, but therein lies the challenge.
Really liking the look of the Shadow Elf Ranger. The alternate head has a classic drow look and the color scheme is suitably evil.

Where do you seen an adventure?
Every child knows that the adventure begins when you find toadstools in the woods.
Oh, of course. And then there's a witch, right?
Yes! An evil witch that... oh...
Yeah, that's what I thought. Shall we go on?
-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-
The first toadstools I've seen this year, very happy to see a whole group. Unfortunately on an evening walk on a grey day, so there wasn't much light.
Toy Project Day 3727
Aaah, this is much better
Yeah, proper adventuring
Yo, running through the woods without a goal
But we're out and about. Adventure is going to find us!
Exactly what I thought (sigh)
Toy Project Day 3726
Long before they met with Lia and Thia and the rest of The Ravens, the unlikely duo of Sekarr and Koruel remained in the city of Phokis. They wished to follow the Meejay, Byzak to the City of Siwa but before they did an old man took their interest. He exclaimed that a terrible creature had taken his child and that it was returning to town everyday whenever night fell. The two said they would help the man and capture or kill this beast before it could do anymore harm to the city. They hid in the shadows and waited until nightfall, the beast did come but it was far too quick, and it got away despite the cunning and planning of our two adventurers.
Sekarr and Koruel pondered what else they could do to stop it, when they met a strong and capable fisherman named Stephan who was happy to lend a hand. He suggested that maybe some type of bait could lure the beast in, he offered them a boat and some rods and the three of them fished up same fish, cooked up a concoction and set up a trap for tonight. The beast once again appeared, but again ran off, but this time Sekarr and Koruel followed. The beast took them on a difficult and bumpy journey as they raced through the bushland in hot pursuit.
Eventually Sekarr and Koruel caught up and after a quick and small scurry, the beast was no more. They found the old man’s child in the Jackelware’s burrow and took him back to town.
They returned the child back to him and told the people of Phokis that they were now free of this beast. They thanked our adventurers, and the fisherman rewarded them with a strange white worm that they had taken a fancy to while they cooked up their bait. He knew little about what it could do, but he wanted to give these two adventurers something as a token of his appreciation. Sekarr and Koruel examined the worm hoping to understand it, but it let out a strange ooze that caused our adventurers to black out and awake the next day. When they awoke, they did not remember the events of last night. They continued their quest toward Siwa, not aware of the heroic acts they had done, but deep down they were heroes who did the right thing.
