I've driven past this cool Katipunan (KKK) themed street art on a side street of Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard in Manila for years, but I only had time to actually stop and photograph it the other day, September 15, 2022.
I thought to shoot a small behind the scenes vlog also since people often ask me where I find these neat spots in the city to photograph.
Also on that same street is a Street Side Grotto, which was very fortuitous for me, since I've been photographing these little vernacular street altars for over a decade now, and I often driven past one but was unprepared to photograph. Luckily that day I had my stuff with me and had the extra time to do so.

Commercially driven demand for fuel wood and charcoal is one of the main drivers of deforestation in Haiti. Many tree species are used in Haiti to make charcoal (used for cooking), including ecologically important hardwood species such as mangroves.

The Boeing B-29 Superfortress is an American four-engine propeller-driven heavy bomber designed by Boeing and flown primarily by the United States during World War II and the Korean War. Named in allusion to its predecessor, the B-17 Flying Fortress, the Superfortress was designed for high-altitude strategic bombing but also excelled in low-altitude night incendiary bombing and in dropping naval mines to blockade Japan. B-29s also dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and became the only aircraft that has ever used nuclear weapons in combat.
One of the largest aircraft of World War II, the B-29 had state-of-the-art technology, including a pressurized cabin, dual-wheeled, tricycle landing gear, and an analog computer-controlled fire-control system that allowed one gunner and a fire-control officer to direct four remote machine gun turrets. The $3 billion cost of design and production (equivalent to $43 billion today), far exceeding the $1.9 billion cost of the Manhattan Project, made the B-29 program the most expensive of the war.
The B-29's advanced design allowed it to remain in service in various roles throughout the 1950s. The type was retired in the early 1960s after 3,970 of them had been built.
A few were used as flying television transmitters by the Stratovision company. The Royal Air Force flew the B-29 as the Washington until 1954.
The B-29 was the progenitor of a series of Boeing-built bombers, transports, tankers, reconnaissance aircraft, and trainers. The re-engined B-50 Superfortress became the first aircraft to fly around the world non-stop during a 94-hour flight in 1949. The Boeing C-97 Stratofreighter airlifter, which was first flown in 1944, was followed in 1947 by its commercial airliner variant, the Boeing Model 377 Stratocruiser. This bomber-to-airliner derivation was similar to the B-17/Model 307 evolution. In 1948, Boeing introduced the KB-29 tanker, followed in 1950 by the Model 377-derivative KC-97. A line of outsized-cargo variants of the Stratocruiser is the Guppy / Mini Guppy / Super Guppy, which remain in service with NASA and other operators.
The Soviet Union produced 847 Tupolev Tu-4s, an unlicensed reverse-engineered copy of the aircraft.
Twenty B-29s remain as static displays but only two, FIFI and Doc, still fly.
This Aircraft:
Built at Boeing Renton as B-29A. During the Korean War was part of the 28th Bombardment Squadron, 19th Bombardment Group and flew from Kadena Airbase. Given the name "Raz'n Hell" by her crew. Flew roughly 50 combat missions. Returned to US after war. In 1958 sent to Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake for use as a target. Recovered in 1980 and put on display. Uses tail of 44-61535, outer wings of 44-84084, and fuselage and inner wings of 44-70064.

Seen at the 2012 Amelia Island Concourse d'Elegance. It's a 1934 MG PA owned by Jack E. Kahler.
From the info card:
"This MG PA1976 was shipped from the UK to New Zealand in 1939. After having passed through the hand of 50 owners - yes, fifty! The current owner bought it and shipped it from New Zealand in 2001. It was in very poor condition, but it was complete and ready for a body-off, nut-and-bolt 10 year restoration performed by this owner.
What distinguishes the MG PA from earlier model is its larger overhead cam engine, 12" brakes, larger chassis, and upgrade in finish details. Between 1929 and 1939, all MGs had overhead-cam engines, which was very advanced for the time. It is definitely a sports car, rather than a touring car. A Marshal 75 supercharger is installed to improve the cars performance which was a popular accessory available for most British cars of the time."

The road to Applecross is something that has to be seen to be believed, if you've ever driven through the highlands or islands of Scotland you will already be used to driving on the little single track roads that link up the small villages dotted throughout the vast countryside, but getting to Applecross is something that little bit special, as are the views when you're at the top of the hill and about to start heading back down the other side.
As soon as you arrive at the road which will take you up and over the range of hills to Applecross you're greeted with a sign saying it's not a road for inexperienced drivers, and it's no understatement. At some stages of the single track road you find yourself looking over the edge of a vast cliff face knowing that one wrong move and you could be hurtling down the hill sideways instead of staying glued to the road.
It gets even more interesting when you have to deal with traffic coming the other direction, yes there are passing places but when we're in the big V8 Monaro and there's a 4x4 jeep coming the other way then the passing places are being pushed to the limit with both parties holding their breath during the seconds the cars pass by one another, then a quick sigh and we're on our way again.
We shot a video from the camera mount in the Monaro of us coming back down the hill, once I finish working through the rest of the pics from the trip I'll sort out the video too just to show how awesome this place is.
