Watching a giraffe drinking is funny. It does not come down so easily with the head and is therefore quite helpless in this situation. Therefore, she secures herself thoroughly before drinking that there is really no danger in the vicinity.

Fabio in Lac Champlain NY , I am not doing that good with my spine operation , I had two MRIs and multiple x-rays three weeks ago and we are going back for the results on Monday .
Sorry I don't comment much but with the pain killers they give ( i call them my stoopid pills ) I can't get into writing of photoshop or photography much , my mind is just in neutral and just trying Not to think about the pain , Freaking weather is not helping here much,,,
But it will get better eventually :)

This phenomenon is well known. Drinking giraffes splay their legs to lower their heads and drink. Having finished satisfying their thirst, they raise their heads swiftly to check for danger and the last couple of litres reverses back down to the mouth to create a ribbon of water.
If you think you have seen this pic before, you're probably right! I think I improved it a bit.
