I'm not a girly girl and I hate dresses, heels, handbags, all that kinda crap. I do however own one pair of heels that I had to wear to my brothers wedding and they've been in the cupboard ever since, until today.
This was suprisingly difficult for me. I think I would rather pose naked than in a dress! I just felt so uncomfortable. The only way I could do it was if you didn't see all that much of the dress. I wish I had more time so I could do something different, i hate this! The exhibition has an open evening tonight so I have to go sort stuff out there now.
The "Solace in the Wind" sculpture on the Wellington Waterfront was all dressed up for Christmas Day.
Melody and I had the pleasure of attending the 27th Annual Generations Fashion Show fundraiser for On Lok, a Not for profit supporting Lifeways Comprehensive Health Care, 30th Street multipurpose Senior Center, Inter generational program, and Housing. It was a fun day out of the house enjoying good food, pleasant company, and sharing a festive occasion. In addition to a brief fashion show, there was also entertainment by various inter generational participants. There was a bevy of both amateur and professional photographers in front of the group posed here, so I captured this image from the side instead of battling for position in front - after all, I was there to enjoy, not work. Unless I am trying to meet a customer's demands, I like to enjoy my photography and that is what I did here from the sidelines at the Far East Cafe for the On Lok fundraiser on Halloween day.

Today (well this was yesterday, I didn’t get around to putting this up last night—got in rather late) I decided to try some pictures outside. The sun was a bit bright and really washed me out (arms especially). Next I will have to learn what I can do about this. I am dressed up to go help with a CAbi party—in the fern dress (this season) and my nice red shoes.

This pub is the most similar to a real British pub that I've been to in the States! Plus as we were walking out (a few seconds after this was taken) we saw a couple of British guys come out and hop in their truck. I suppose the Brits in San Antonio (who knew there were any???) think it's pretty similar too!
My only problem with the pub was the outfits they made the waitresses wear... pretty disrespectful - short skirts, bare midriffs and the like.
