My friend, Sarb, loves to go out for a good time. Sometimes she stops here for me to shoot her first. This particular evening she was going to a dinner put on by her employer.

Origin of "to the nines":

"To the nines" is an English idiom meaning "to perfection" or "to the highest degree" or to dress "buoyantly and high class".

First scan of a big batch of negatives I got in a Portland, Oregon craft shop. Interesting dresses; fun faces.

Not sure of the year.

Teddy Bear girl is wearing a skirt, a blouse and a hair bow! Someone didn't want it so they took it to Kent Recycle Center in Carmel, New York and it can be yours free!

Anton and I, all dressed up for the "dressy-but-casual" gay "wedding" / ceremony of two dear friends that we attended on Saturday.

Anton might have hated it, but I for once appreciated the chance of dressing a bit better.... nothing like a suit jacket and/or a tie to make onself feel more confident in his look... :-)

Perfect Blalance at Stimson-Green Mansion

to continue my mexico - travel series:

here we are in Tlajomulco, Jalisco, Mexico inside “the little Indian church”, a church that was built during colonial times for the use of indigenous people, as they were not allowed to worship in the large parrocia, the spaniard's church. what is really curious here is that this colonial figure, a saint riding on a horse (who’s name I unfortinately don’t know) has been dressed by the indians (indigenous people) as a Mexican Charro (horseman), complete with cowboy boots, sombrero, lasso and the traditional charro suit (((:

Lingerie from Savers, whatever she can find

This was before our nephew's ceremony began. I think the bride's attendants were running toward another spot for a photo op. The venue was a horse farm, overlooking a river.

Last weekend was the big day! My BFF from high school got married. I was her Bridesmaid. :-)

Her wedding photographer took these shots of us with my camera. Her photographers were awesome.

the Haarlem Cultural season 2015.

I've been reflecting on this shot for two days, mostly pondering with slight despair the mother I never was and probably never will be. It's probably best that I have a no-fuss no-muss boy child who would be unlikely to have such a crisis.

Girl in the Red Dress apparently lost one of her nail tips when, suddenly, A Mom swept in to save the moment. Mom reached into her purse, pulling out a tube of superglue.

Superglue? Do moms really carry superglue in their handbags? Does she always carry glue in there along with her keys and credit cards? Am I that out of the loop?

I was touched both by watching Red Dress Girl's distress and that someone in her life had the foresight to come equipped to help her out.

I always thought Mom and Dad looked so wonderful when they went out together! My dad had those mutton chops and cool shades and my mom always had a pretty dress on. (She made the one in this picture, btw.)

This is a favorite photo of mine because if you look closely between my dad's knees, you can see my brother!

Still together...

While looking for a parking area yesterday, we drove near the Z Garage. a lovely group shot of fancy dressed people was taking place. Caught this lady in full yawn....Detroit, Michigan. December 28th, 2018.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone. Riley probably thinks he looks ridiculous but I hope he'll forgive me.

It is her favorite thing to do with her Daddy, go on a date to the Daddy/Daughter dance. We spent time curling her hair, painting nails and getting pretty. The poor thing was running a fever but was determined to go on this important date. A fun time was had by all and I think she looked absolutely beautiful.

The Black Sea water was cold and the wind was blowing (worst combination) bur some people were brave and went for a swim.
