Age is no obstacle; with steadfast resolve and the wheel in hand, this individual stays unwavering in their pursuit of dreams.

Dream is a sculpture, a piece of public art, in St Helens, Merseyside, England.

Dream was designed by the Spanish artist and sculptor Jaume Plensa as part of The Big Art Project organised by the television company Channel 4 in 2009. It is sited on an old slag heap of Sutton Manor Colliery which closed in 1991 and it overlooks the M62 motorway.

It consists of an elongated white structure 20 metres (66 ft) tall, weighing 500 tons, which has been carved to resemble the head and neck of a young woman with her eyes closed in meditation. The structure is coated in sparkling white Spanish dolomite, as a contrast to the coal which used to be mined here. It cost nearly £1.9 million and it is hoped it will become as powerful a symbol in North West England as Antony Gormley's Angel of the North is in North East England

A small kid selling stuff roadside taken during Bonalu festival in Hyderabad.

Bonalu (Telugu: బోనాలు ) is a Hindu festival of the Goddess of power, Mahakali, celebrated in Hyderabad, Secunderabad and parts of Telangana and Rayalaseema in India. It is celebrated in the month of Ashada masam, in July/August. Special poojas are performed for Yellamma on the first and last day of the festival. The festival is also considered a thanksgiving to the Goddess for fulfillment of vows.

Window of Dreams

Dreams can serve as a window into ones deeper consciousness. Based on this premise I explored dreams as they pertain to ones thoughts, feelings, and ambitions. In order to portray these dreams I decided to create this relationship between the dream and the dreamer by projecting ones dream in the same frame. Thus, creating a direct representation of ones dreams. These representations span from the everyday thoughts to deep rooted aspirations. As well as, the ethereal states of dreams that we all have experienced. Dreams that encompass love, and ones yearning for true love, are also depicted. Lastly, I have explored ones dreams as they pertain to a long lost memory. Please explore my interpretation of the realm of dreams.

Dreams Old

by D H Lawrence

I have opened the window to warm my hands on the sill

Where the sunlight soaks in the stone: the afternoon

Is full of dreams, my love, the boys are all still

In a wistful dream of Lorna Doone.

The clink of the shunting engines is sharp and fine,

Like savage music striking far off, and there

On the great, uplifted blue palace, lights stir and shine

Where the glass is domed in the blue, soft air.

There lies the world, my darling, full of wonder and wistfulness and strange

Recognition and greetings of half-acquaint things, as I greet the cloud

Of blue palace aloft there, among misty indefinite dreams that range

At the back of my life’s horizon, where the dreamings of past lives crowd.

Over the nearness of Norwood Hill, through the mellow veil

Of the afternoon glows to me the old romance of David and Dora,

With the old, sweet, soothing tears, and laughter that shakes the sail

Of the ship of the soul over seas where dreamed dreams lure the unoceaned explorer.

All the bygone, hushèd years

Streaming back where the mist distils

Into forgetfulness: soft-sailing waters where fears

No longer shake, where the silk sail fills

With an unfelt breeze that ebbs over the seas, where the storm

Of living has passed, on and on

Through the coloured iridescence that swims in the warm

Wake of the tumult now spent and gone,

Drifts my boat, wistfully lapsing after

The mists of vanishing tears and the echo of laughter.
