This post is for my friend Suzanne who wanted to know more about the scenery surrounding The Graugnard House. The house faces the mighty Mississippi River, however the view is now blocked by a giant levy to protect the house from rising flood waters. State Hwy 44 separates the house and the levy. Behind the house sits a modern day factory or refinery of some sort. In my review the scenery is not what used to be by any means. I can picture in my minds eye the mighty Mississippi rolling past with great fields of cotton and sugar cane growing all around this house and children running barefoot while playing and laughing. Giant live oaks may have once provided masses of shade and lots of beautiful flowers. Can’t you just see it?

Well it was a seventies day dream shooting in the middle of nowhere on set at a surreal zen meditation retreat belonging to an old Berkeley hippie. Really felt like we were traveling back through time and space, styling a shoot with a specific time period in mind can tend to have that affect. Fashion is going through a seventies revival right now, bell bottoms and velvet burnout, fringe and shag, Janis sunnies and rich maroons, burgundies, reds and yellows. A return to the earth in a sense. This day was just that, off the beaten trail, no cell service, no contact with the outside world for a few precious hours.

I can't not think of Tangerine Dream when I hear the word tangerine or when I smell or taste it. I'm a fan ^-^
Working at a Disney theme park would be my dream job. Surrounded by the magic everyday would be like living in a fairytale for me.

The 128,000 gross ton Disney Dream - Disney Cruise Line's third vessel, which entered service in 2011, pictured here at Disney's private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay. IMHO the Disney Cruise Line vessels are the most beautiful passenger ships afloat, combining the attributes of a luxury cruise ship with the lines of a classic ocean liner. Disney Dream will be joined in 2012 by sister ship, Disney Fantasy (alongside the two beautiful original ships, Disney Magic and Disney Wonder).

Panorama of 63 images. Kind of hard to shoot because there is a large table in front of the mural, and on this table a large flower arrangement. So one can't step back to get the whole 49' width in the frame without interjecting the table and flowers. Standing in front of the table, a panoramic treatment is able to get the whole thing.
