This is the stairway that leads to Disneyland's Dream Suite...I laugh at the memory of my family showing up at Disneyland trying to be the lucky family chosen that night to stay in this fabulous apartment renovated for Disneyland's 50th anniversary....We would look for the people choosing the lucky family, do our best to look worthy but never got the nod, although we did get some other goodies occasionally as part of the promotion, such as all-day fastpasses, etc...
This photo was taken during the Mice Chat Photo Meetup in November...

Dreamer, dream on...
This world is a treasure trove of dreams..
Just hold them in your heart.
My dreams are now as nightmares,
as I wander through and through,
My mind is now corrupted,
as I wander through the new,
New doors have opened to me,
and I've paused then to step in,
wondering, and puzzling,
at all that lies within,
I step then through the blackness
of the open portal there,
and I step out into wonder,
that I never then could share,
I meet then a real new sight,
as the colors swirl by,
I see a field,a whole new world,
and I step forth now, but nigh!
What are these things that dwell here,
oh black creatures of the night,
these skeletons and wanderers,
who blunder in the blight.
A road now falls before me,
going down into the field,
I see bright blooms around me,
and I hope they are my shield,
A shield now from the danger,
that now dwells within my mind,
among the red, and white, and pink,
I know not what I'll find.
Things rise up from the ocean;
sea of Red, and pink, and black,
and I wander on the road there,
looking now for what I lack,
my dreams have drawn me to here,
to this field ever bright,
And carry ever onward,
though my mind's not always right.
I walk now through the meadow,
and I wonder what it means
to ever, ever wander,
in this endless Field of Dreams.
Where trees are dreaming and the sun is screaming,
Where the hunters wait make the deer lost faith,
Where danger is lurking and your head is turning,

When I went out last month for a night of star photography, I chose an area a few miles west of Ahshislepah and south of a place called Valley of Dreams. VoD has a dense concentration of hoodoos and rock forms. It is not easy to get to; you have to cross Navajo Reservation land to reach it, and most if not all of the formations are on Navajo land.
I was surprised to see three large SUVs parked nearby and a row of tents set up in front of the formations. I walked over to find a group of Chinese folks on a tour of the American Southwest. Only a couple of them spoke English. I asked how they knew about this place but only learned that one member of their group knew of it. Probably from the Internet, I'm surmising.
Members of this group seemed to belong to the Chinese upper middle class. There was a woman dressed as a cowgirl -- boots and white stetson, tight jeans and frilly blouse. (Think Daisy Duke with black hair.) She was posing and getting photographed a lot. I noticed that some of them were trying to climb on top of the formations, apparently to be photographed by their companions. I told them that not only was this personally dangerous, it could destroy a formation that was thousands of years old. They seemed to understand and stopped.
Someday the Navajos might block access to the area. More likely, they might charge for a permit. I can't say that I disagree with that.

Frank's Theme - Holly Cole (Tom Waits)
They always play your favorite tune
And dream away when everyone's gone
Dream away your grey skies too
Dream away and nothing is wrong
Dreams have wishes that are waiting for you
And up ahead the road is turning
Turning for you and me
And just like before
The band starts to play
Now there's that twinkle in your eye
And dream away
Two signature drinks. On the left..a Margarita with blanco tequila, lime and agave. On the right is reposado tequila with lemon, spicy honey, and smoked pineapple. Absolutely delicious!
The reflected colors are even more saturated. I'm guessing it's due to the green color of the lake.

i will say foot tattoos hurt the worst especially if you decided to get them both completed on the same day. i had these done in 2010

This dream started with my sister throwing a Valentine's Day party. After that I was down at the port helping Brent load a green dresser onto a ship. There was an afghan hound in a band jacket inside the cargo container and it became wild and jumped at us and the dresser fell into the bay.
In my dream you are my life, but in my life you are just a dream

Still wearing her basic Holidair colours Douglas DC-8 Series 52 VR-BIA seen parked at Lasham Airfield on the 18th of November 1996
According to web sources she started life in 1963 with Iberia as EC-ATP, moving on to Aviaco 10 years later
Between 1980 and 1987 she served as a VIP transport with the Spanish Air Force as T.15-2 before being sold to 'Holiday Airways' and registered as N7034B
The year after she moved to Holidair as C-FHAB where in 1989 she was 'acquired' by the Royal Bank of Canada
1n 1993 she was leased back from the Bank by Advance Air Charters and in 1995 was re-registered as VR-BIA for the proposed Imperial Airways
That operator came to nothing and Jetstar Ltd acquired her but after languishing at Lasham, a year after I took this photo she was scrapped

listen :
Every time that I look in the mirror
All these lines on my face getting clearer
The past is gone
Oh, it went by like dusk to dawn
Isn't that the way?
Everybody's got their dues in life to pay, oh, oh, oh
I know nobody knows
Where it comes and where it goes
I know it's everybody's sin
You got to lose to know how to win
Half my life's in books' written pages
Live and learn from fools and from sages
You know it's true, oh ..........
Don't worry to dream big, but don't fear to try hard too.
You dare to pray, ask everything on it, but don't be afraid to have faith on everything you ask for. Believe.

Standing here
The old man said to me
Long before these crowded streets
Here stood my dreaming tree
Below it he would sit
For hours at a time
Now progress takes away
What forever took to find
Now he's falling hard
He feels the falling dark
How he longs to be
Beneath his dreaming tree
...from ~The Dreaming Tree / Dave Matthews Band~
*Note: I orginally posted the entire song, but it seemed toooooo long! So I offer only a part of it. I you want to see all the lyrics, either google the title and band name, or email me.
