I've made this drawstring bag for my daughter and we made a label so that everyone knows what to stash away in there.

The words were stitched by Cupcake Princess...she's turning into a really good embroiderer.

I'm making drawstring bags these days. I produced five in the last three days. The big one is the most finished, the long skinny one the next most finished, and the three small square ones the least finished of all.

A big cherry blossom shaped drawstring bag with beautiful Japanese kimono fabrics. A small flower bloomed on the end of the strings★

I usually make little one for sachet but someone suggested me to make bigger one. So here is!!

This is a big enough to put your cosmetic things, mobile phone etc...you can still use this for sachet :)

This bag fascinate all of your friends!

The material is called Chirimen, a special crepe a little heavier than normal fabric used in making Kimono.

A drawstring bag for the favourite toys.

I made these a few weeks ago for project "Organize the Basement." I love that there are actually city blocks, cars, and trains in the bags. :)

Thanks, again, Jeni for the tutorial.

A toy bag with a clever little window so that he easily find his Lego guys. I made him one for his birthday last summer and he liked it so much he asked for another one for Christmas.

I followed this pattern: tonicoward.blogspot.com/2010/06/peek-boo-toy-sack-tutoria...

Here's another example of the many colors of cotton soap sacks I make.

This one said "Spring" and "Easter" to me.

The bags' usefulness is not limited to soap. I went to a Solstice Festival in June (LOTS of fun!) and, uhm, much comment was made about how these would be nice for storing ... a certain type of smokable substance.

I finally worked out a response of "Sir/Ma'am, you can use this for whatever you like! I can't speak to whether any leaf fragments will fall out or not .. I use my bag in the shower with soap ..."

It was greatly amusing, I must say.

all fabrics: various local shops.

When you are finished, tie the ends into a knot. I like to use a slip knot.

I put two tetra charms as a code stopper.

Can you guess what this holds?

Used Jeni's awesome tutorial:

Enlarged & modified the Day Bag pattern by Nicole Mallalieu with drawstring closure & an elastic pocket for ipad...my favorite knitting tool! This was an experiment that still needs a little work...I don't like zipper closures for knitting bags since I always zip my yarn into the zipper at some point but I think this drawstring top is a little too big for this bag & wish the bag was a little bigger. WIP...

This is for my shop.

a long overdue swap for Mary (sorry Mary - I am crap, I know, I know). The first set went AWOL on their way to Brooklyn (pesky mice) so these ones will be locked in their bag and sent insured mail - so I can track the little buggers!

Just a little note for his buddies...

Re-Treasure Collection - This small drawstring bag is available in my Shop. It was made of linen on top and wool fabric at the bottom, and has a mix of hand printed leaves, slow embroidery and patchwork techniques using tiny scraps of different fabrics. It can be used to carry a small knitting or embroidery project, some snacks, make up, toys or any other things you need to keep organized inside your daily bag.
