I used jenib320's lined drawstring bag pattern for The Everything Bag to make this cute bag to hold a birthday gift for one of my daughter's friends. I started sewing two hours before the birthday party and finished just in time! I used a Lecien print with French phrases for the main fabric and Kei honeycomb dots in aqua for the accent. fabric.
inside of the bag is Satin fabric. Fully lined with no raw edges. It's great for any musically inclined person.

Lovely old handmade heavy hessian / burlap drawstring top bag. There is a lovely primitive fruit and flower embroidered design on one side and the initials A S embroidered in green on the other. The bottom of the bag has soft green blanket stitch detailing and the bag has an internal pocket. It is closed with a rope drawstring.
Cut a lot of them. I did mine in a variety of sizes, but the vast majority were made from 25” x 13” swatches of muslin. I also did a few that were a bit longer, to accommodate unwieldy things like lettuces and chards. Just remember to cut pieces about twice as long as your intended bag length.
New string backpacks...great for a dance bag! The initial is my favorite part! Fabrics are from Ballerina Fairies by Moda.

The material is called Chirimen, a special crepe a little heavier than normal fabric used in making Kimono.
